One Collection - Four Super Quick Projects in Under 45 mins

Hi, Lisa here!

Anyone else struggling for creative time right now?

For me it's definitely all about the quick projects right now.

I need speedy craft fixes.

I always say that by having a good paper collection, it instantly speeds up the process.

For these projects today I'm using the 'You Are My Sunshine' from Bella Blvd here.

And I created all this here.

I do have a full process video coming to my YouTube channel on Monday here.

I started off by creating these 3 tags.

Tags are fast and can be used on your scrapbooking pages, as card toppers or pop on a gift or in a mini book. I love using tags!! They are perfect if you need a quick craft fix as they don't take much time.

I love the contrast of these fun papers and I used 3 of the strip stickers from this 12x12 set here.

Next I made this card. I often make more than one using the same design, but I just made the one today. I destressed the edge a little and cut one of the elements from this sheet here.

I use sheets like this all the time for card making. They literally take 5-10 mins per card.

Next was a quick pocket.

I love using pockets in my journals, but they work great for scrapbooking pages too.

Perfect for hidden journaling, adding memorabilia or using as a gift card for someone.

Finally I created a new page in my Orlando Journal.

Again, this came together in minutes.

I had a large photo from 2007, so I backed it with the cute cloud paper here.

added a few stickers from the 12x12 sheet.

I loved the card from the elements page, so I cut it out and added clear tape to the left so it flips open to reveal my journaling.

And again, I've just needed stickers to embellish.

And that's it.
One collection, 4 projects in under 45mins.

I hope you feel inspired.
Don't ever put lack of time put you off from crafting. There's always ways.

Lots of love

Sunshine, Scrapping & Some Handy Tips

Hello!!

It's Lisa here today with Sunshine, Scrapping and some handy tips as the title says.

I've been making the most out of my Belle BLVD - Simply Spring collection.
It's bright, colourful and very happy. Despite the name Spring, to me it shouts Summer!!
Sometimes with the slightly themed collections, you have to make them work to your projects.
This one is Spring/Easter themed, but this can easily be over looked.
Here is my LO today.

I just love clouds. I have a bit of a thing for them when it comes to scrapping. I'm working my way through scrapping our 2014 Florida photos and I'm thankful to say, we have no rainy photos. I still wanted to use this paper though. It's so pretty!!
I had a think and then thought it would make a perfect background to our splashy pool photos.

The paper is pretty busy though so I decided to lay a piece of clear vellum over the top of part of the paper to tone it down a little. This worked a treat as you can still see the pretty pattern through.

I also wanted to use the 'Sunshine' paper. I cut the word 'sun' out for a previous LO in the same scrapbook album so I wanted to try something different this time and this is what I came up with.
I cut the paper in to strips and stuck it down at angles. It also broke up the business of the cloud paper.

Adding a title I reached for my trusted Doodlebug alphabet stickers. I always keep a stock of these in a variety of colours. They are probably my favourite stickers of all time. They just go with everything and I love that they come in so many colours. Today I found that I was missing some letters that I needed (don't you just hate it when that happens?!) so I broke the black title up and used the orange stickers too and then realised that I needed 2 black 'e's and only had one. So I took a fresh new white set and coloured one in black. Problem solved!!

I love the Kaisercraft stamp set that I recently bought for my Project Life and Planner projects so I decided to use it on this LO too. A little tip. If your stamps don't print bold enough, colour them in.

I also wanted to help my journaling stand out a little and as I was planning to journal on the cute matching heart paper, I decided to add some bold journaling lines. I took a matching coloured pencil and ruler and everything fitted so well.

I had a few of the coordinating Bella BLVD stickers left and wanted to bring them to life a little. 3d foam tape helped and I grabbed one of the My Minds Eye - Enamel Dots. Always handy to have to hand these little things.

So there you have it, a very non Spring/Easter like LO.

Thanks for joining me today.
Enjoy the sunshine.

Fun in the Sushine

Yes, it's almost that time of year where we can start having fun in the sunshine again.
Sunshine really does lift my mood. Maybe that's why I like creating bright, colourful and happy pages the best.

This is one that I've made to share with you today using Bella BLVD - Simply Spring

I thought it would be fun to add a textured edge to my border so I used a piece of 12x12 Dotted Swiss. I cut my white 12x12 down slightly so that it fitted well in the centre.

I've taken a Tim Holtz Stencil and a yellow pastel to make the sunshine on the page. One thing I like about using pastels, is that you can take a normal rubber to rub away any excess.

Don't let seasonal patterns put you off when choosing your pretty papers. My page has nothing to do with Easter and yet I've still managed to use it and have fun with it.

I've used a coordinating piece of paper - Sunshine - for the title. I do love a little fussy cutting.

My black pen is often my best friend when I'm scrapping. I love to outline and add borders. I've also added some journaling, but did write this out in pencil first.

A little more fussy cutting from the patterned papers. Popping a little 3d foam tape, really makes the flowers pop.

Finally I used the arrows from this stamp set here to add a little interest to the LO. These sets are such great value. I also took a few teeny buttons to add to the centre of the flowers, a few matching stickers from the same Bella BLVD collection and then some splashes of ink for that final bit of colour.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Bella Cards

Hello, Lisa here today with some bright, fun cards.

I used a variety of these Bella BLVD papers.
If you like fun and colourful papers, then you will love Bella BLVD.

I followed the same look for each card, which speeds up the process when you are making a batch of cards, but I used a few different techniques to add some variation to each card.

I used the Molly Collection on this particular card.
Adding a little gesso and some glitter.
This paper here 'Sparkle and Shine' is full of these large green words on the back. They are great to cut out as use as card sentiments or titles on LO's.
I coated mine in Crackle Accents. This stuff is great and when dry leaves a crackled effect.

I also made this thank you card with the 'Family Forever' Collection.
Adding a little twine always looks good on a card.

I cut out some of the flowers from this paper here and layered them up with 3d foam tape.
I love the 'Paper Pieces' packs from Bella BLVD that match the papers. They are so fun to use. I cut the word 'beautiful' out from one of them.
I finished with some Stickles for a sparkly glittery effect.
I also used this Crafters Workshop Stencil here with some ink.

My favourite card from this little collection is this new home card.

This time I used the 'Snapshots' Collection.
I added a couple of pieces of vellum, only sticking them down at the top to leave them floating on the card.
I cut the cute little house from the 'Pajama Day' paper. Those little houses are just adorable.

I hope you like these little cards.
It's so much fun to grab your scraps of pretty papers and make a batch of cards.
I like to keep a box of cards made up for all occasions.
They are always handy to have.

Sharing a Little Family Love

If you love bright colours and fun designs then you need to check out the 'Family Forever' collection from Bella BLVD.

It's Lisa here with you today playing with bright happy colours to brighten up the wet and cold February days.

Here is my LO.

I started off by adding some watercolours to my LO. If you don't have water colours you can use watercolour pencils or watered down acrylics or sometimes I take a little pot of water and dip my paintbrush in to a mist and then in the water to use on a LO. You get that same watered down colour wash effect.

Once dry I added some of the fun Bella BLVD papers over the painted area.
I then took a 6x6 mask and laid over the top. My favourite kind for this are the Crafters Workshop stencils. They are good and sturdy and don't move when you scrape a thick medium over the top. This means you get the full pattern of the mask come through. It's good to build up a nice collection of masks so you don't get bored of using the same ones over and over. I used this one here. Kaleidoscope.
I took a thick moulding paste and a palette knife (an old credit card will also work) and scraped the thick medium across, revealing the wonderful pattern when removed.
This takes a little while to dry.

When the paste is dry, it's time to have some fun with the Bella BLVD stickers.
I also cut up some of this cute heart paper - Language of Love.
Before you start cutting out the hearts though take a look at all the words on the reverse.
I used these for my title, so make sure you don't want to use any of the words before you start hacking away.
Did you spot the 'Family Forever' tag on the photo above?
That's actually the name of the collection that's printed along the bottom of all of these papers. The bit you would usually cut off and bin. These are often fun to use, so have a look before you throw away.

Talking about titles, here is mine.
I wanted the wording to stand out a little more so I went over in a black journal pen.

The papers are so beautifully designed that I find myself with a lot of fussy cutting when it comes to Bella BLVD. I enjoy this and find it really therapeutic. Add a little foam sticky pad and you have a set of embellishments.

Aren't those little houses adorable?

I hope you enjoyed my little step by step today.
This was such a fun LO to make.
Thank you.
