Secret Squirrel Intermission

My Dear friend Fee is running a new BOM to celebrate Spring
Fee gave me the first block to make up, so here's my version in reds and white
I completed this block last night, some whilst at the Quilted Crow stitching night and the rest at home. I just had to get it done!
Pop on over to Fees for an awesome giveaway to go with this BOM.

Anyway back to secret squirrelling, so far no-one has guessed the item in the centre yet, yes a weenie heart is there but I'm looking at the bigger picture for an answer so keep guessing, you have until my lunch time today ar I'll give you another clue!

They're all Pretties!

My hubby has returned from his little trip to the Gemboree which means I have my camera back and I can share some photos with you.

Here's the great package of goodies Elyte sent me for the Ugly Swap. Elyte teamed up my greenish and brown print with a rich brown and gold to make a zippered pouch, covered notebook, needlecase and pincushion plus she included a beautiful tea cosy! Don't you think Elyte has done a fabulous job!! I love them all, thank-you Elyte you've been a wonderful swap partner!
At the recent gathering Helen challenged a few of us to turn a 1/16th piece of fabric into something by tomorrow. My piece of fabric was striped so I teamed it up with a floral print that I picked up at Fiona's on Saturday and using the link that Elyte found created a zippered pouch.  This is a great project to practice stippling and zippers, two things I fear most in the stitching world. I think I've done a pretty good job just don't look too closely at the stippling, I definitely need more practice.
I've also finished two BOM blocks, the first is from Cori's new free BOM Baby Bracelet Blessings
and the second is Block G from A Gardener's Journal, with a slight variation, can you pick it?
I've got the whole week off work, hopefully I'll have a few more finishes to show you soon!
Hope you all had a visit from the Easter Bunny, I'm all chocolated out!!

Keeping Up Appearances!

Since my last few posts were a bit pictureless I thought it was time to show you what I've been working on.

Firstly I've completed Helen's Quilt Aid Block

and I've done the stitchery for Natalie's
I've completed Gail Pan's Noel block

and here's my mystery quilt (still in pieces) from last Saturday's big Quilt In held by Helen and Miss M.

I'm lacking a bit of contrast in the bottom blocks but I don't care as the fabric is gorgeous! The fabric range is called "Blessings" by Moda. If you're looking for it then head over to Mother's Cupboard!

Slowly working away at my to do list

I've spent the last few weeks stitching at nights whilst watching TV so I can catch up with some BOMs.
Gail Pan's BOM

Capricorn Quilts BOM - Once Upon a Time (still needs a few embellishments added)

and Willowberry Designs BOM - Verandah Views

Links to all these gorgeous BOM stitcheries are on my sidebar!

I also whipped up a Ric-Rac pattern "Birdcage", it's so quick and easy to do! So I guess that's another OPAM finish too!Visit Jodie's Etsy shop for it and other wonderful patterns!

Now I've caught up with a few things I'm back to binding my jelly roll quilt, one side done, only three to go!

Hope you've had a productive weekend too!
