Viva Decor Modeling Creme is fantastic!

There are so many new and exciting products in the my2angels store at the moment! I want to use them all right now but there never seems to be enough time!!

This layout has it's fair share of new goodies though, starting with Kaiser's Enchanted Garden patterned papers. These are so pretty, definitely a collection for the girls. (I know you all have them since there seems to be nothing left in store!!!!).

Viva Decor Modeling Cream

Using a sheet of 'Fascinate' as my base I tried out my new Viva Decor Modeling Cremes in both Mother of Pearl Rose and Metallic Platin, pushing them through a stencil with an old store loyalty card to add a brocade pattern to the page. I used the two colours separately but didn't wait to dry between colours so where they touch they blend beautifully. You will need to get your stash of this product quickly before I go back to the store...I will be needing every colour Tracy has and probably more! I liked this effect so much that when it was dry I added a bit more, this time using glossy gel medium. The gel goes on white, so you can see what you are doing, but it dries clear leaving you with a subtle continuation of your pattern.

To add a bit more colour behind my photo, which is very plain, I sprayed very lightly with Vanilla Breeze and Sun Sisters Glimmermists, and stamped a few times with a script stamp (sorry, origin lost in the dim and distant past) and some Victorian Velvet Distress Ink.

To mat my photo I used two pieces of 'Entrance', slightly offset and then covered them both with a piece of white tulle to soften the darker colour a bit and add texture. The photo is placed on top of the tulle layer.

In between and on top of these layers I have tucked in a die cut from the Collections pack and few appropriate sentiments which came from the 12 x 12 Sticker Sheet.

Taking centre stage at the top of the layout is a gorgeous Love you to Infinity Pink Charming Key Chain. I confess to adding a bit more Stampendous Shabby Pink Embossing Enamel to the key so that it looked as luscious as the chipboard word,  'love', and the chipboard flourish framing the photo. I love the way it looks up there in the corner, with the dangling end seeming to link the two sections of the layout together. Very happy with that!

Another gorgeous my2angels embellishment (and one that I've had in my stash since way before I became an angel myself) is the pink Memories pin tucked in behind my Pink Mini Gardenia. A little touch of Victorian Velvet around the edges and it blends in to this layout perfectly.

I die cut some leaves from the same paper that I used as photo mats and added two shabby cream flowers from my stash. The other flowers in my clusters are my favourite Pink & White Cherry Blossoms, tiny Light Pink and White roses and some Pink and White Rose Buds. My two sweet fairies and the sparkling butterflies scattered around are fussy cut from the Enchanted Garden specialty paper 'Faries'. (Can't understand why Ngaire hasn't snapped this paper up yet...but glad I got a piece before she does...shhhh).
There is also a tiny chipboard heart in there - embossed to match of course, with Stampendous Shabby Pink.

Finally, I thought I'd try to take a photo showing how the clear Gel Medium and the gold flecks in the Stampendous Embossing powder pick up the light and shine....not a great photo, but I think it gives you an idea...a pretty, subtle sparkle on a pretty, girly page.

For anyone you ‘love to infinity’ and back – this Charming Key Chain makes the perfect statement on their card or layout.

As the chain is only attached at one end to the heart locket charm, you can alter the way you hang it. eg

Here is the layout I wanted the new Charming Key for - created with a kraft cardstock background, some tea stained muslin, Enchanted Garden Charm and jumbo java inked doilies.

I've added plenty of hand-cut butterflies from the Kaisercraft Enchanted Garden Speciality Paper Fly
some pink lilies and antique bronze butterfly charms.

There's also a round Floral Flower Filigree, topped with a Love Engraved Felt Heart, Antique Bronze Arrow Charm and Pink Rose.

Tucked under the photo and only just showing, is a dusty pink mulberry flower and I love you postcard Antique Bronze charm.

More fussy cut butterflies from the Kaisercraft Enchanted Garden Speciality Paper Fly.

Then to finish it all off, I covered my photo and gave the layout a final spray of Guilded Gold Glimmer Mist.

Remember back in December 2012, when DT Geli did her gorgeous Snowflake Christmas Card?  Here is the link:-

As soon as I saw the new Kaisercraft Enchanted Garden Speciality Fairies glitter paper I knew I had to do the same card. Taking Geli's card as my inspiration - here is mine.

Kaisercraft Enchanted Garden

I used a Twiddlebitz C6 Kraft Card, some tea-soaked muslin and Kaisercraft Enchanted Garden Entrance as my base.

First, I cut out one of the fairies on the speciality paper - (Tip:  measure the inner oval for size before you do this, because I cut one of the larger fairies and she was too big!) and then I cut 1 small and 1 medium size butterfly from the Kaisercraft Enchanted Garden Speciality Fly Glitter Paper.

The inner oval has a fairy on one side and 2 cut butterflies the other side.  Using a glue stick, I glued some Turquoise Microbeads randomly over both sides of the card.  Using the glue stick didn't fully adhere the micro beads - which is what I wanted (normally I would use something stronger - like Dimensional Magic - to adhere microbeads).  I wanted it that way so that when the recipient opens the card, some of the microbeads will fall off & spin with the centre oval creating a fairy dust effect.

What you want on the front - fairy or butterflies - will determine what you get on the inside - you can use them either way.

I chose to have the fairy on the front

Then I added a couple of Antique Bronze Butterfly Charms, more fussy cut butterflies; and some words from the bottom strip of Enchanted Garden Charm. The rest of the Charm pp was used for the above layout.

Angel or Fairy?

I recently made a card, something I don’t often do … unfortunately it was for another death. My good friend’s sister died at the aged of 35 from a heart attack. She has had a bad heart all her life, sadly, but still it was a terrible shock and all I could think about was her mother. Being a mother myself it really hit home to me.

I used some old rub ons for the word sorry which as you can see were a bit dodgy but I quite like the effect of them so I left it as is ... not bothering with a black pen to fix up. I sprayed the doily with starfish glimmer mist, red organza ribbon, white corrugated ribbon with two of our red flowers.

Now this card caused me a bit of confusion (what's new???) as I have always called the charm used Angels but the 2 males in the house said they are fairies. What do you reckon? Could it be both? Or am I ... god forbid ... wrong for once PML?

Wow my birdhouse turned out to be a popular item – thanks for the encouraging emails and comments left. I have managed to get 5 more birdhouses arriving around the 14th August so if anyone would like one of these please email me at info@my2angels.net - yes Amanda I have one put aside for you already

They are $10 each but unfortunately the postage will be $5.20 due to the thickness of the posts. However if you purchase papers, bottles or tapes from our website as well you be paying the flat rate of $5.20 anyway – just a thought

Time to get DS off to footy again

Hope your weekend is creative and your kids are behaving themselves ;)
