C.Z. Guest  famed American socialist and gardener also dabbled in acting, writing, riding, designing and even enjoyed a brief stint as a showgirl! She also developed quite a reputation as columnist, horsewoman and fashion designer achieving fame as a fashion style icon. She wore designer clothes with thoroughbred elegance, keeping to simple lines, rich fabrics and soft colors to suit her cool complexion. Her unfussy, clean-cut style was seen as typically American an her influences can still be seen today.
