Peeker, Peeker!!

Hello and a happy Friday to you!  Yay another week is done and its WEEKEND TIME!  Well it will be for me if I get all my work done in a timely manner today so I can enjoy the weekend with my family LOL!  I must say I am BEAT as I’m writing this post (the nite before) that I can barely see the laptop—yikes, so I apologize if it sounds wonky or is spelled funny.  We had a great turn-out for the new BookEndz Group at the CMC Classroom yesterday for the Kick-Off Party---woweeee!  If you didn’t get a chance to stop by you still can and enter the challenges---you have until Aug. 4th to do so and the GRAND PRIZE is a new KINDLE!  Also I revealed the book we will be reading which is “Snow Flower & the Secret Fan” by Lisa See---it is a wonderful book about the power of friendship between two women.  I enjoyed it soooo very much when I was a the beach and I knew instantly that it would be fantastic for the Book Club!  We ended things with a LIVE CHAT last night and those GALS (all 68 of them) were CRAZY LOL—crazier than me, how can that be.  If you’ve never been to a chat at the CMC Classroom you need to come to one, always fun, fast paced and informative but you gotta have your fingers ready to fly cuz’ it goes FAST!  And when we have a party with prizes its even CRAZIER---I think ‘dem gals were sniffing too many Copics last night I tell ya, whoooo eeeeee LOL!  Me I was just having fun and drinking Cherry Coke trying to keep up Winking smile

Anyone going to the Southern Women’s Craft and CHA Supershow in September in Charlotte, NC?  I will be there with my good gal-pal Pat Jaynes on Thursday and Friday so if you will be there give me a holler.  I’d love to see/meet you!  After that I will be in Kansas City teaching and then onto Ohio, possibly San Jose, San Diego and finishing in Vegas and maybe Texas!  Yep I have a very CRAZY FALL schedule ahead of me before I stop traveling in mid-November to take off for the holidays.  But you can see the upcoming locations for my Copic Classes at www.cmcroad.com and I will have it updated late next week with all the new spots!

P1110667_edited-1

YAY---today is RELEASE DAY for the new

If you loved the first Peekers you will ADORE this new collection!  You can see and buy the whole collection at SCACD HERE!   I love each and every one and they will certainly make you sigh and say “awwwwwwwwwww” – come on, say it with me! LOL!

If you are hopping then you came from my good gal pal Janiel’s Blog so now make sure to hop to the next blog at the end of this post for even more inspiration!

And if you are overseas you can buy these cuties at Quixotic Paperie!

I’m entering this into the following challenges:

Crazy Challenge (ribbons)

P1110668_edited-1

Isn’t she a cutie? I love her and her name is “Purse Peeker”---I love purses and I love shoes so I had to use her FIRST LOL!  I paper pieced the purse to match the background papers (ooh I’d love a bag like that) and then colored the purse handle with Copics & used Diamond Glaze on the handle to make it pop more.  The papers are NEW and by “Lily Bee Designs"--love gingham and love red and aqua together!  The mats around the image are SB’s “Lacey Circles” one of my go-to fave nestabilities.  The gingham border was done with my MS border punch and then I matted it on the shimmery white cs to make it pop.  Bow was done with Bow Easy and then topped with some matching Prima flowers!

P1110662_edited-1

She was colored with Copics R29,R24,R22,R20 / BG04,BG02,BG000 /E11,E00 / E37,E31,E50,YR20.  I added Diamond Glaze to her headband and bracelet as well and then some stickles on the coins and rose for bling!

Now you need to hop on over to my good friend Kim G’s Blog HERE to see more beautiful inspiration!

Have a great weekend!  See ya on Monday!

Blowing Kisses!

Why hello and Happy Friday to you all!  I cannot even believe it's the weekend already, lol---seems like it took me a year to get thru CHA and back home again!  This trip will go down in "Suzanne's Crazy Trip Files" that's for sure.  I spent more time trying to get to LA and then back home again then anything else, hee hee.  My flight on Tuesday morning was cancelled of course due to the lovely weather we have all been experiencing! I got up at 4:30 am on Wed morning (LA time) flew out to Nashville at 8 am then flew on to Baltimore and got home around 7:30 pm Wed night. Immediately changed into my jammies, crawled into bed and ate some soup, LOL--I was comatose all night long, hee hee!  CHA is always so much fun, I so enjoy my time there with my friends, meeting new friends and really having fun experiences among others that GET this craft and enjoy it like myself!  BUT it is also physically exhausting dealing with 3 hour time changes, early mornings & late nights that it can suck the life out of you, LOL!  I have to tell you how very much I enjoyed my usual roomies (Terri of Stamps Alive! & my smurfette pal Marti of Pez-a-doodle Design) and also Elaine Sink & Ashley Newell. I really enjoyed meeting up with gals from the Gina K DT as well---I really love those girls and enjoyed our late night chat at Starbucks ;)

And of course my Scor-Pal and Magnolia-licious gals are just FAH-bulous--adore them all, really wonderful to know & work with these ladies!  There were so many great things to see at CHA but there wasn't 1 Super-Fabulous item that I must have this time though which is a bit of a bummer!  Lots of little things though!  If you follow me on Facebook you definitely saw all of our kooky posts thru-out CHA---the one time I utilize FB the most is at CHA when we are all a bit loopy and over-tired!  Good times for sure!  So below is a slideshow of pics for ya and I'll talk more about my trip over the next week.

Today is a fun blog hop release from SCACD so make sure to page down to see the new stamps ;)

Blowing Kisses!

Today is a fun release called "It's a New Day!" for Susana's Custom Art & Card Design and we're celebrating with a Blog Hop Today!  I get to be the start of the blog hop today but make sure you continue on the hop to see all the beautiful projects that have been made with these new stamps.  There are new stamps from Elisabeth Bell, Carmen Medlin & Victoria Case for SCACD!

All of these stamps are available for purchase today but there are TWO fun chances to WIN today at the Store Blog HERE and on SCACD Facebook Page HERE so make sure to enter!  Winners announced tonight so hurry and enter today!

I got to use this very sweet image by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD called "Blowing Kisses"--isn't she a sweetie?  My papers are by Memory Box called "Pixie" and I adored the sweet colors & patterns which reminded me of spring (I need spring to come badllllllllllllyyyyyyyyy, lol).  The fabulous embossing on the pink cs was done with a embossing folder from UK Crafts Too.

This cutie was colored with copics and the background was created by airbrushing the center of my circle with a soft blue.  The grass was created with a fun die as well--I inked the edges of the grass and added stickles for sparkle to it.  Stickles also coat her shirt and little hearts.  I popped up the image after cutting it out in different layers so it left a realistic shadow on the background and tucked her lil' feet in the grass.

The sentiment is from PTI and perfecto for this image--I created a banner background around it to come out from the hearts!  The background matting was done with SB's Scalloped Circles and then I used my hole punch to add smaller holes in the scallops.  The double bow was done with my Bow Easy & then topped with a button, twine & pearl.  She's such a sweetie---totally reminds me of my daughter when she was 3 or 4 with the lil' pigtails!

Now this is where you can buy the new stamps HERE (or see individual links at top)!  Make sure to enter both Blog Candies HERE & HERE!  Blog Hop Order is on store blog as well!

And your next STOP on the hop is ELAINE HUGHES BLOG HERE!

Enjoy your weekend everyone!  I'm not watching much of the Super Bowl as I'm not a big fan of either team BUT I will be watching the Black Eyed Peas during half time and recovering from my trip, hee hee!

Ducky Time!!

Hello friends & Happy Wednesday to ya!!  I soooooooooo enjoyed the weather here in VA yesterday--oh my it was only 72 degrees--whoot whoot!  I opened all my windows and let the fresh air blow in--it was so nice to turn off the A/C!  I took the doggies on an extra long walk which was nice!  My background is still a wreck but the patio is finished and they have been putting stone on the fireplace and walls which looks really nice!  I'm most excited about getting my stairs off my kitchen--yay--4 years with no back stairs has been a pain in the rear I tell ya, especially with doggies!  I will share pictures when it's all done--before and after so you can see it in all it's glory, hee hee!  I cannot wait till its done & I will be throwing a HUGE party to celebrate!!  Wanna come?  hee hee!

And get ready ladies I will be celebrating my MILLION HITS on my Blog the first week of September-there will be prizes each day and one grand prize along with some charity fundraising too!

Just Ducky--Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Sneak Peeks!!

Today I'm excited because I get to share a brand new release from Elisabeth Bell for SCACD sneaky peeky with you!  This new collection called "Animapeeps" is so cute and so different from what she usually draws--they will just steal your heart!  This collection of stamps will be released this Friday, Aug. 27th at the SCACD Store HERE!  And my fellow DT sistah's are sharing sneak peeks this week (see bottom of post for the list)!!

**Don't forget to stop by the store blog and enter for some yummy blog candy too HERE!

I get to show off this cuter-than-pie image called "Just Ducky"---let's all say awwwww! LOL!  I paired her up with some yummy papers that I just love by GCD Studios "Homespun".  The background was embossed with a newer CB folder and the fun sentiment is by PTI.  I used my fave Bow Easy on the bow and added some matching buttons to the top for fun!

This little cutie got colored up with Copics (R85,R83,R81/YG67,YG63,G20/Y11,Y00,Y0000) and then added some diamond glaze to her boots and eyes!  The polka-dots on her umbrella got a cool new treatment using a product called "TonerTex Foils"--then I put more diamond glaze just on the cute froggy umbrella eyes!  You basically use their special glue pen to attach their foils and glitters to anything you want :)--very cool and fun!  You can buy it all at SCACD HERE!

And guess what I did a video which you can see below on how to use these TonerTex products--once you use it, it's VERY addictive and the glitter is so stinking cool!

Okay now here is the list of sneak peekies for this week that the DT will be sharing!

Color My World--Blog Hop!

Happy Friday to you!  I'm typing this up from Disney World for you today (actually the night before)--our flight was fine and we're staying at the Disney Swan this time.  We stay at a different Disney hotel each time we've come--next up is the Yacht Club with the kids next year :)  If you come here I highly recommend the Wilderness and Animal Kingdom Lodges--perfect for kids (w/ bunkbeds) and a lot of fun!  Anywho, I'm on vacay and hubby has given me limited time on the computer each evening, lol so I gotta get this done.  Today we're going to spend the day at Epcot--my most fave park next to the Animal Kingdom which we'll do on Saturday and Magic Kingdom on Sunday!  I'll tell Mickey & Minnie "hello" for you!  But, don't forget to stop back by on Sunday--I'll have a Magnolia Sketch project up for you as well!  And again, thank you sooooo much for all the wonderful, supportive and sweet comments and emails I've received from you all the past few days--it has meant so very much to me!  More than you will ever know!

PS--If the reader that won the NEW Zutter Distress electric tool from me in March is reading please contact me so I can send you yours.  I haven't had a chance to go back thru my posts to see who the winner was yet, cuz my memory is not so good.  So if you won, please remind me!  LOL

Color My World

Today my fab friend & pal Susana of Susana's Custom Art & Card Design releases a FABULOUS new set of stamps by Elisabeth Bell called "Sampler #4" today!  These stamps are so cute and will touch your heart I promise you that!  The DT is having a fun BLOG HOP today to showcase all these stamps for you today.  And if you've been hopping along Welcome and if you want to start at the beginning you can start at Aud's Blog HERE (and all the blog hop details are on the store blog here as well).

Today I get to share with you a stamp named after me, hee hee--this is "Little Suzanne" and I LOVE her!  Why you ask?  Because she reminds me of both myself, my daughter and my niece at that age (see my niece's pic below)--I was ALWAYS coloring or drawing when I was young (and old too, lol)!  My favorite present in the whole world was a new box of 64 Crayola crayons, coloring books and watercolor paints (and maybe a Barbie too)! I have always loved to color and draw--it truly is my passion and makes me happy so I'm thrilled to have this cutie-pie named after me!

The papers that I used I really love, but I can't recall who they're by but I know they are new, lol--if you email me about them when I get home I can check for ya (sorry) .  I distressed all the edges with my fabulous NEW Zutter Distress tool--I lovee that thing, but I will warn you that it is powerful so hold your paper tightly and don't let your young kids use it, 'kay?!  I used my Bow Easy for my bow, some Kaisercraft pearls and the scrolls were made with Spellbinders dies.

I colored her with copics (can't recall what they were exactly--R08,R04,R02 I think and BG11,BG10,BG000 for her clothing) and used W Copics for the shadows.  Some stickles on her headband, coloring book and belt got a coat of stickles for sparkle.  The sentiment is from PTI's "Tiny Valentines" set--I thought the sentiment was MORE than perfect.  I just fell in love with this set of Elisabeth Bell for SCACD stamps and this one in particular.

This is my niece Taylor on her 3rd bday coloring!

Now you need to hop on over to DANNI's BLOG HERE and make sure to stop by the store HERE to pick up your new stamps (and it's a steal if you get the whole sheet).  Hope you enjoyed my project and have fun hopping!

See you back here on Sunday! Have a great weekend!

Boho Chic!!

Good Friday to Ya!! Let's all do the Weekend Happy Dance now--dance a lil' jig till you fall down, LOL! Actually I have a TON of work/projects to get done and Etsy orders to get out, so I won't dance around too much, hee hee--lots to catch up on this weekend! I have another private Copic Class today and then tomorrow night we have a wine/cheese party to go to and then just WORK for both me & hubby. Hubby is organizing Riley's new playroom (hangout room) so they have alot of sorting & stuff to get done. We got the Expedit cabinets in black from Ikea (the large wall units) to go in his room and James' finished assembling them last night--now just get everything put away & the tv hooked up. And the final room transitions will be done (my old craft room became hubby's study, hubby's study down in the basement became Riley's room, Riley's old playroom became my craft room)--whew, I'm tuckered out from all the moving, LOL! But Riley loves his new room & he has a table/desk that he can use just for putting together his model airplanes on with his dad--so they have a space for it now, not on my kitchen table anymore thankfully--yay!  So all good in the Dean household for now--next week the holiday chaos that is tree decorating begins :o)  I will start decorating next Friday so I don't feel rushed & hope to be done with everything by Thanksgiving and then Thanksgiving weekend we'll hunt our 2 LIVE trees down & get them up!  I do 99% of the decorating myself cuz' yes, I'm anal & a control freak just a teeny bit, lmbo--the family all puts the family room tree up & decorates it but then they leave me be to my manic tree obsession.  I will of course share pictures with you for those who can't come to my Open House--I'll send you some mulled cider cyberly 'kay?!

NewsBitz:

-I will continue to keep this up everyday, but I am having a Holiday Crafter's Open House on Saturday, December 5th from noon til' 5 pm (come for an hour or three, but drop by if you can) I will have my 10 (yes 10 this year) Xmas trees up, house decorated, mulled cider brewing & lots of sweets to eat along with lots of fun chatting & meeting other crafters from this area!  Just email me if you'd like to come so I can send ya directions & have a head count! (I live in Leesburg, VA right off of Rte. 7 in the Lansdowne on the Potomac neighborhood) Make it a trip for ya too--the Leesburg Outlets are 5 mins away, Dulles Towne Center Mall 10 mins away, Tyson's Corner Mall 25 mins away!! (and a big Joann's & Michaels too)

-Another spotlight on a fabulous Etsy store is Black Mountain Candles--oh if you love to buy candles as gifts and for yourself you need to get some of these!!  I bought the Jingleberry scent jar & it is scrumptious smelling--it left a lingering smell in my house long after I had blown the flame out!  They are soy based with a non-lead wick and all natural--love, love them!  And great prices as well--so just another fabulous handcrafted item from Etsy to check out!

Boho Chic Rocker Style!!

Today just one project for ya--I ran out of time yesterday since I HAD to go out for a Girl's Night Out with my friends!  Oh my, I haven't laughed that hard in a long, long time---still gigglin (and yes S, S & R you know what I'm talkin' about, hee hee)!  So I will be posting tomorrow & Sunday with a few projects for ya as well!

Today I chose to use a NEW Elisabeth Bell for SCACD stamp called "Boho Chic"--I just love her & my daughter ADORES her!  She gave this card her TEEN stamp of approval, lol--and she's a hard lil' chickadee to crack but she said she'd give this to her friends!  I think she's beautiful & fun and perfect for multiple occasions!  I paired her up with this fun butterfly dp from Basic Grey's "Ambrosia" and punched some multi-layered butterflies to accent the sides, they also got a black rhinestone body!  The pearl swirls on the side are from Prima's Say It With Pearls line (a personal fave of mine)!  The fun lil sentiment (picked out personally by my daughter who insisted I give her proper credit, lol) is by Hannah Stamps.  I'm entering this card into the Cute Card Thursday Challenge as well---it's all about the Glitter :o)

She's colored with copics and then I used stardust stickles on her fringy shirt--the fringe got traced with my black Spica pen for some more sparkle!  I think she's just a cutie---but shhhhh....don't tell my daughter I used the word "CUTE"--she'll roll her eyes & say "No, Mom-she's just cool"--LMBO!  Hope you love her too! You can see all the new stamps in the Elisabeth Bell for SCACD right HERE!

See ya back here tomorrow with some Lockhart notecards and a Mo's Digital Pencil project :o)

Hop & Stamp!!

Hello stamping artists and friends!!  How are you all doing today?  I'm so excited cuz' I uploaded to the new blogger & it's soooo much better than the older version--more features, easier to use & more colors :o)  I'm a happy girl (it's the small things in life that thrill me, hee hee)!  But, there's always a but, hee hee---I had to pay for more storage cuz' it seems I reached my limit here on my picasa/google account!  Not to bad though---$5 for 20 GB which should last me a bit--I just need to be better about saving my pictures in a smaller size so they don't eat up as much space!  Everything on the computer is a learning curve for me ya know---I'm taking an Adobe Photoshop class in January to learn more & then in the spring I'll be taking a Flash Animation class to learn how to create my own blinkies & stuff!  Can't wait!

NewsBitz:

-Today Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge DT has a new challenge up--this week it's a fun sketch for you to try out!!  Visit the Challenge Blog HERE to read all about it!!

NEW Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Release!!

So today is release day for Susana's Custom Art & Card Design--the brand new Elisabeth Bell stamps in the Sampler Edition #2 are up for sale today HERE!  These are all fabulous--I love the variety & that they're a little bit older images--great for tweens on up to 100 :o) !!!  The DT is having BLOG-HOP to show off all of the images for ya too!!  I know I will be using these images a ton!  I've used the fabulous "Latte" today for my projects--she's so chic & oh-la-la!  I used some of my new SU "Bella Bleu" papers--love the french feel of these gorgeous papers!  She got colored with copics and then I re-traced the iron on the chair & table's scrollwork with my black Spica Pen for sparkle!  Her latte got a topping of white Liquid Pearls, a pearl on her purse and some stickles to make her shoes & headband bling-a-licious!

The ribbon is a wired ribbon from Michaels (love that stuff) and then I added Prima "Say It In Pearls" centers to the center of each bow.  The sentiment is from an old H&M Stamp set I had on hand, the scrolls are punched out and then I added some pearls to them to dress 'em up!  Oh-la-la me thinks--I wrapped up a can of Godiva Truffle Hot Cocoa (cuz' I don't drink coffee--and I have frenz who actually add this to their coffee) in the matching papers & bow to finish the gift set!  Easy peasy--I'd love to get a gift like this!  So if you came here from Dianne's Blog then you need to hop on over to Carolyn's Blog HERE to see the rest of these fabulous stamps in action!

Pink Cat Studio Digi Release!!

Today is also a NEW Digi Stamp RELEASE from Pink Cat Studio as well--some more yummy & cute images for your collection!  For this card I used the new & cute "Friendly Snowman" along with yesterday's SCS Sketch #254!  I think this image along w/ the Santa below are too cute--a lil' primitive style & oh so fun!  I colored him up with copics, added diamond glaze to his nose & buttons and then made a frosty frame around him with my MS Snow Glitter.  The sentiment is from the PTI set "Winter Swirls", I added some stamped snowflakes from the same set and some snow glitter & bumped the center up with dimensionals.  On the ends of the sentiment & in the corners are baubles (I bought a huge bag of clear & aqua ones in the floral dept of Michaels).  Wintry fun for sure!

Second card uses the digi stamp "Santa" & you know all about my Santa fetish, hee hee---so I just LOVE him!!  I paired him up with some more fabulous dp by Graphic 45--love this stuff!  I used a MS border punch to create the wavy border and then enhanced it with gold stickles.  This Santa has alot of detail, white sparkle fluff on all the fur trim, gold stickles on the tree and buttons, and diamond glaze on the candy cane & his boots!  The holly leaves & brads are by Prima!  Now hop on over to the Pink Cat Studio Digi Store HERE to buy your cuties and see what the DT has created too!!  (and btw, Pink Cat has raised over $1000 for the Henry Memorial--read about that HERE)!

Glad you stopped in and hope you'll be back tomorrow--I'll have some more fun projects up for ya!

Fabulous Release Day!!

Happy, Happy Tuesday to you all! A cold front has blown thru here in Virginia and the weather is much cooler today :o( I have a feeling that winter is gonna be bad this year--ack! I do not like the cold, snow or ice or nasty wind--blech! Especially after Christmas is over with, it seems like winter just drags on and I'm ready for spring to come in January, LOL! But I'll just deal with it I guess--this weekend we're going to get mums and cornstalks for our front porch! I love decorating for fall and the week before Halloween our house turns into a haunted house with a fog machine, bwahahahahha! This is my daughter's last year of trick or treating (once high school starts that's it) so it will be semi-bittersweet! Her & her friends are going to be M&M's, lol--Riley of course wants to be a military guy again, no surprise there! Last year him and his best friend dressed up like 40's mobsters which was fun. Sometimes I'll dress up but usually I just say I'm Suzanne, the mom and papercrafter (maybe I'll stick some stamped images & paper scraps to my shirt, lol)! Anyone else dress up for Halloween?

Release Day for Susana's Custom Art & Card Design
New Elisabeth Bell AND Victoria Case Stamps for sale!!

So the day of the fabulous Double Release for Susana's Custom Art & Card Design is finally here! You can buy BOTH the NEW Elisabeth Bell AND Victoria Case stamps HERE (sold as sets or singles and available at 9 am EST today)!

This first stamp I'm using is by Victoria Case for SCACD and this set of 4 stamps is called the "Everyday Gals" and she's named after me, hee hee "Suzanne"--cuz' Susana says I love to shop (which, yes I do especially over the internet)!! I dressed her...ahem, me in my favorite color red and the fun dp is by Shabby Green Door "Farmers Market" . I colored "me" with copics and added some stickles to her totebag & shopping bag; diamond glaze to her boots & purse! This is how I dress when I shop mostly, bootcut jeans w/ high heeled boots or skinny jeans with ballet flats :o) The fun little sentiment is by Hannah Stamps! There are 4 of these "Everyday Girls" and they are a lil' bit bigger than the Bella stamps so they're easy to color & paper piece--they fit lots of fun occasions! Isn't she fun--love her!!

My second card uses one of the fabulous new Christmas/Holiday stamps by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD and this one is called "Two Turtle Doves" from the Special Edition Ornament Collection--see them all HERE! Now this image comes with a beautiful heart ornament around it, but I'm showing you the image without that so you have two ways to use this beautiful stamp! I paired her up with some beautiful new papers from SEI "Christmas Mint"--I love the soft past holiday colors. I added some stardust stickles to her skirt and holly for sparkle and then cut the image out with my Nestablities Labels 3. The snowflake border was done w/ my Martha Stewart punch here and those scrolls are also a punch here. I added some Kaiser pearls and the sheer ribbon was tied with my Bow Easy & topped with some Prima Poinsettia flowers & holly! These images are all just gorgeous & so perfect for the upcoming holiday!

Now hop around to the rest of the DT's blog's to see their stunning creations today using these stamps!
