What's on my work desk Wednesday

This is my desk today!

It's a mess.......... There are my stamps I bought at Stamperama on Sunday on my desk ribbon and various other craft bits and bobs left over after I made fifty invitations, which I will show you a little later on, as they were a private commission!

Here is the scrapbook layout I made with all the Heartfelt Creations  flowers and sewing bits I stamped painted and cut out. The little advert came from a news paper of the time I copied and distressed.

Here is a close up of the advert

That needle packet is a copy of an old packet I found in a tin of buttons..... On that subject hubby surprised me with a little gift, on my return from visiting a friend,he had bought me, a tin of vintage buttons

I went to stay with my crafty friend Kim again this weekend so we could craft together on Saturday and then go to Stamperama on Sunday, where we meet up with five other crafty friends and all had coffee and a chat together!
Well that's it from me ..... If you want to have a look at some other crafty desks and what other crafters are doing........... Click on the link on the right hand side of my blog marked Stamping Ground and the lovely Julia will explain all!

What's on my work desk this Wednesday

This is what is on my desk this week,on the left hand side of the table.
There are a number of rubber stamps and a pile of paper at the back and a lot of stamped elements I have painted and cut out.I am going to use all these elements on a layout of my Great Grandma.all the elements are sewing linked as she was a dressmaker.

As well as these elements I made some flowers to go on the same layout

I stamped some flowers on water colour paper then painted them and cut them out, then shaped them.

After that i glued them together to make the flowers for my layout

All the elements now made I have to just put the layout together!!!

This week I went to stay with a crafty friend for a few days and we did a few pages in our journals and went to a local crop near where she lives.it was good to see it was well attended with I would think, well over fifty people there.

Well if you have had a look at my desk and would like to see other people's crafty desks..... Just click on the link on the right hand side of my blog marked stamping ground and you will be whisked away to Julia's blog where all is explained.
Thank you for stopping by.

What's on my work desk this week

I am still working on the family history album and its spread all over my work desk as you can see.

Rather untidy ... I started to sort some bits out but then stopped and did another page.... Below are some of this weeks pages

This is four separate 6x6 layouts that all make up a 12x12 page

Here are four more of the same size

This is a 12 x 12 that incorporates one 12x6 and eight 3x3 to make up the page

Here is a bit of a close up of part of that page

Here is another one using the same format
This is about all I have achieved this week as Charlotte came to stay for the weekend and took over part of my desk to my valentine cards and do some clay modelling!!!

Thanks for stopping by and if you would like to do more desk hopping click on the link on the right of my blog marked Stamping Ground

What's on my Work desk this week

This week my desk is such as mess.... Or very full!!!
This is because I have been busy and not been clearing away between each project (bad habit .... Many of us have!)
I have now sorted all my photographs, and paperwork, put them roughly in place in the album

I then started at the beginning of the album with a picture of my grandad and did a 12 x 12 layout of him as a baby

I then went onto my next photo and put that into a 12 x 12 with a couple of smaller photo's and a birth certificate and did some journalling. I have decided that I will journal on each page in my own handwriting even if I don't like it!

I plan next to do some very different size layouts next e .g 4 x6, 6x6 etc

I had some great news this week from a fellow desk hopper Nessie Natters that I had won a copy of her calendar..... How fab is that she is so talented.

The other thing I achieved this week was this card and tag for a friends birthday, it's made using versa mark and perfect pearls. I saw Barbra Grey on Saturday as she was doing a demo at a shop locally and was using perfect pearls.
