Stampotique Designers Challenge ............153 Anniversary, Wedding or Love theme

This week Kim has set the challenge for us at the Stampotique Designers Challenge,( there is a link to her blog on the right hand side of my blog) this is what Kim had to say about her challenge ........,

Happy Wednesday!  It's Kim and I'm excited to be hosting this weeks challenge.  June here in the states is often a time of many anniversaries and weddings and so I challenge you to create with an Anniversary, Wedding or Love theme.

While you all are busy creating, I'll be celebrating with the love of my life our 18th anniversary so can't wait to see what you all come up with.  Have fun and hope you love every minute creating :-)

So with this in mind I set to work and this tag is what I made ....
Here are a few step by step photos to show how I made this tag
I started with a white tag, inked with distress inks, then used water on foam to release some of the colour, to give the bleached look. Then stamped these two images from Stampotique rubber stamps.
Then used a few more stampotique rubber stamps as shown in the picture below, and stamped and destressed!
Hope that gives you a little idea of the stamps I used this week to make my tag!
Just pop over to the challenge blog ( link is on the right of this post) and join in the fun and show us your creation!

What's on my work desk Wednesday

This is how my desk looks..

As you can see not much different from last week just a tag on my little stand, here it is close up, there is a seperate post showing how I made it using Stampotique rubber stamps.
I have been working on my project life album, and just have a few bits to Finnish off then I can give it to my daughter as it's all about her nine months of pregancy. Then I can get started on my next album, the one I so want to get on with .... Baby Lara's album. I have been playing with a few sprays on some handmade paper, to make a few backgrounds, here is one I made!
Well that's it for this week..... There will be lots to tell you about next week!!!!!! But you will have to wait tell then. If you would like to visit other crafty desks just click on the link marked Stamping Ground on the left a little further down.
Thank you for your comments I will try and return them ASAP, sorry I was a bit late returning some of the comments last week.

stampotique Designers Challenge ....... Sentiments

This weeks challenge has been set by Gez,

This is what she said............. I am delighted to be your hostess for this challenge.. I love sentiments and sayings, they really say it all to me! They make a piece finished! I'd like you to share some of your favourite words with us this week! They can be a main focal point or an embellishment, it's your choice! Say it with words...

So I thought I would look at a few words and found one I thought many of us could relate to !

So here is my offering this week.

I hope you like it!
To me it showcases that Stampotique with it's around 20 designers are a  varied  bunch of talented people with very different tastes but are all sisters together!
Here are a few step by step photos of how I made this journal page
I started by spraying Dylusions inks on paper then
Grunge paste and stencils, then I sanded it down
Then I added Dylusions spray ink to a blank ink pad and then used various junk iteams to stamp with onto the background
Then used stampotique rubber stamps on the background
And I carried on until I produced this journal page!
Now it's over to you to have a go and join in with the fun, and have a go!
Come and join in at the SDC blog there is a link on the right hand side and you could be the lucky winner of a Stampotique gift voucher to buy rubber stamps, good luck.

What's on my work desk Wednesday

I have been finishing off the project life, style album I was making for my daughter of her pregancy.

Stampotique Designers Challenge.............151 Boxs

This week the very talented Arwen has set us the challenge of boxs, this is what she had to say.....

What could be better than to give a loved one something?
To present a gift effectively, I make nice boxes to do so.
Be it for jewelry, candy, books, etc. - for all you can make great boxes.
But the box itself is a wonderful gift idea.
Show me your boxes!
As "given away" for something or as preserves things?
I'm curious about your boxes.

So with Arwen curious about boxs I thought what could I do a little differnt that was a box ...... I came up with the idea of a bird box, here it is.....
My Stampotique bird box that will be given to a little girl who loves animals of all kinds.
Here are some step by step photos of how I made it...

That's all the layers of paint and the grunge paste done!!!!!!
Lots of sanding then had to be done....,,.
Then I stamped this Stampotique sentiment
Then I stamped Roc's scalloped boarder, followed by some more stamping, of Jo Capper-Sandons mushrooms.
These are the stampotique rubber stamps I used...
Then it was time for glueing, sticking, colouring etc
Once everything was stuck down ...... I had my little bird box!
What a fun challenge Arwen set us this week .... Now it's over to you to make a box and show us at the Stampotique Designers Challenge Blog, there is a chance to win a $30 voucher to spent at Stampotique.com
Thank you for leaving a comment I will return the visit

These were the result of playing with some backgrounds ideas with Trish Latimer on Saturday, I invited her to come and run a workshop for a group of friends and she came and did a fantastic workshop for us for six hours!!!!! Was a brilliant day, thanks Trish for doing a ten hour round journey, to be with us!
At the back is a little bird house, here it is close up...

Stampotique Designers Challenge .......150 Celebration

This week is a special week for Stampotique

We are excited at Stampotique that our fans have helped us grow so much and that our stamps, challenges and Facebook page have become such a big hit.  In honor of our excitement, and our 150th challenge, our theme is CELEBRATION.  We want you to create with celebration in mind, whether it's celebrating a birthday, anniversary, wedding, graduation or new baby...let's celebrate!

Not to put a damper on our celebration, but our team is bidding a few of our members farewell. Maria has been with the team and has shown us how talented she is not only as an artist but as a stamp designer.  Tanja has only been with us a short while but we have enjoyed seeing her creations each week.  We celebrate the opportunity we had to have them on our design team and wish them the best.

We will NOT be having a new call for designers as our current designers will all be remaining for another term.  We are happy to say we are looking for 4 new guest designers and so along with this fun challenge, we will pick some of our guest designers from those who are participating in our 150th challenge. Along with the chance to be a guest designer, we'll also be picking a random winner for a $30 gift certificate for Stampotique stamps.

Can't wait to see how you celebrate this week!

This is what I made to Celebrate 150 design team challenges.....

So now it's over to you..... Come and join in the fun and click on the link on the right marked design team challenges .
