Mother's Day Apes

Good morning and a VERY Happy Mother's Day To All of the Mother's out there!! I hope you all have a beautiful day full of doing whatever YOU want to do! That is what I plan on doing :)  Not much of anything but coloring and crafting. Maybe a little tinkering on the pc. No errands, no going out... today is all about us, right? hehehe  Have a wonderful day!!

Today I am posting one more Mother's Day card. This one sold already.

This one is using Flower Monkey from A Day For Daisies. I've colored this image with Copic Markers and I've created the sky using a monthly lesson from Kit and Clowder. I've added several die cuts, the vines, the oval, the butterfly. I cut the yellow flowers to make those pop. I've added some coloring and inking to add some dimension to the die cuts. I've also added some gems to the center of those yellow flowers and small pearls to the butterfly. I've added some small paper flowers, the sentiment is a stamp. These papers were from a pad and the black and papers used for the die cuts are all from scraps. I thought these papers were perfect for this card.

Copic Markers Used:
  • Gorillas: N0, N1, N3, N5, N7, N9
  • Sky: Y15, Y17, YR14, YR16, E15
  • Grass: G21, G94, YG67, G99

Mother's Day Digi Darlas

Good morning everyone! I can't believe tomorrow is Mother's Day!! Today I am going to take my mother to our church. They are having a BBQ Fundraiser this weekend. We are going to go over there and have a nice BBQ plate with everyone. It is going to be a beautiful day to be outside too! It should be fun :) And then tomorrow will be my day to do nothing HAHA! Just what I want! I can hang out and color or do whatever I want! Isn't that what is supposed to happen on Mother's Day? hehehe

That will be the weekend...  a bit of a relaxed weekend I'm hoping. The weekends really do go by too quickly.  What else is going on with everyone?  My oldest, Taylor, finished up her finals this week at University. She will finish up with A's and B's for this semester. She isn't really keen on her Accounting or Finance professors. She took five (5) classes this past semester too. I think it was a bit overwhelming for her. I think she will go down to four (4) classes again as it seemed more manageable. And with Taylor, she wants all A's and it was a lot harder to get that with the extra class. She felt like one class was always getting neglected. Good on her for wanting to do well. I'm really proud of her.

My other two have two more weeks left in High School. They have their End of Course Testing next week and the following week. From what they tell me, everyone is passing everything. That means that Michael will pass math and that is HUGE! But his teacher is making him do the work and he is succeeding. After school is out I'm sending him to his sister for the summer. He says that he wants to come back after summer and finish at Allatoona. With that said, his sister and I have spoken and Michael can graduate on time, the end of next year, if he gets through three math classes. The only way I can see him successfully doing that is with his sister's help. She is a whiz at math and she will be able to help him. I am not able to help him because I can't remember half of that stuff. It has just been too long since I've done any of that. Her and I talked about it and we will see if she can convince him to stay up there and get through his last year. Time will tell :)

Well... that is all the rambling I will do! Here is a Mother's Day card from me:

This is an image from Digi Darla's, who is no longer around. The image is Loving Arms. I've colored this with Copic Markers. I created the wall and floor around the image of the mother and baby on the chair. I've added the little porcelain flowers, some skittles, twine and charm. The Happy Mother's Day is stamped. I've managed to use all scraps for this card. The banner is die cut as are the corners on the inside. I added some additional skittles on the inside as well. I have done a small amount of layering on the image.

Copic Markers Used:
  • Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20
  • Baby Blanket: B000, B00, B01, B02, B04

Mother Day In Blue

Good morning! I hope everyone is having a great week! It has been a busy week! Tonight is a night of Lacrosse games. I have to have dinner to the girls all set up by 3:15 pm. So, I'll be leaving a bit early to get there and get that set up. Then I can log back into work if need be. I'm also picking up one of Bailey's friends from church. She is homeschooled, so she doesn't get to do these things much. I'll pick her up and we will head to the school. I'm hoping the girls do alright tonight. I'm not sure how good this team is that they are playing. I know Bailey gets REALLY frustrated at the JV team.

Friday, I'm taking off to go to Dahlonega with Kevin. We are going to go by the High School up there. Michael is going to go stay with my oldest daughter and go to school up there next year. We are hoping that the change will help him. He really needs to get through this next year of school. I'm hoping Taylor can influence him a bit. We will see! Then Saturday we have a tournament all day. Here is to a busy weekend ahead!!

Here is another Mother's Day creation:

Cat Loving Mothers

Good morning! And a very happy Tuesday to everyone... although ... I thought it was Wednesday, which means a very long week for me ahead!  I hate that! This should be a pretty busy week too. Bailey has practice all week. They have a game on Thursday, which I need to bring food to feed the team. Then they have a tournament on Saturday. That will end their High School season for lacrosse. But then on Sunday it is right into the club lacrosse as Khaos will start their practices. Will be a busy week and weekend for sure!

Here is another Mother's Day card from me. I was lucky enough to already sell this one! I got it out in the mail yesterday :)

This one is for the cat loving mother :)

Yellow Mother's Day

Good morning everyone! Me again with another card. I'm working from home today. The kids are going with my sister later this morning. They are going to go to the Dogwood Festival I believe. This weekend should be a quiet weekend. We have MotoGP motorcycle races and I may go rent the Peanuts movie from Redbox. Other than that.. I'm hoping to color and craft and take it easy :) Have a great Friday everyone and a great rest of your weekend too! See you on Sunday for the next Open-Minded Crafting Fun Challenge!

So, yellow is not my favorite color, but this one went yellow. Here is one of my Mother's Day cards:

This image is from Delicious Doodles and was colored with my Prismacolor Pencils. I've used some different patterned papers and card stock and kraft papers. I splattered a bit of yellow paint. I distressed some of the papers edges. I did a bit of dry embossing and inked the top of the embossing on some kraft. I've added buttons and thread as well. The Mom is stamped, as is the Happy Mother's Day on the inside.

Playing with Meljen's Thursday!.

Good morning everyone!!  Today is Thursday and that means a new challenge at Meljen's Designs!!!  I love playing with some Meljen's images!! We are on Challenge #213 with a theme of Sew Perfect!! (Faux or Real Sewing). I took it a little further and made is Sew Purrr-fect LOL!!!!!  A little bit of sewing .. a little bit of kitty cat!! LOL  No.. You do not have to include cat in your creation LOL Just some sewing :) Here is my creation:

For this I used Mother Cat from Meljen's Designs. This is colored with my Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. The kittens on the front of her are decoupaged so they pop a bit. I used several different oval dies behind her. I stitched the two rectangles behind those. I added ribbon and twine and some cute little themed buttons. The sentiment on the front is printed and then cut with a die. The inside sentiment is a stamp. One more Mother's Day card to add to the stash. I just sold all of my cards on zibbet.com so this will be my first to start my stash again! :)

Challenge #209 at Meljen's Designs.

Good morning everyone!!! And a Happy Thursday to everyone as well! I love Thursday!! It is my Friday... well almost! I still work on Fridays, but in my pjs LOL  I'm recovering from a stomach bug or something from yesterday... got me up in the wee hours of the morning. Feeling better though and back to work! I think hubby gave it to me!! LOL  But I still love him  :)  I hope you all have a great rest of your week! It's almost the weekend!!!

This Thursday we begin Challenge #209 at Meljen's Design and our theme this week is 'MOM'! And I didn't have any Mother's Day cards left, so I have been trying to work on my stash!  This definitely helps!!  Here is what I came up with for this challenge:

For this challenge I used Seahorse Love -- which you can find at the Meljen's Designs Shop. I printed the image on Kraft paper and colored it with my Prismacolor Pencils. I added some pearls on the image and some pink pearls around the flowers. I added the flowers and leaves. For You Mom! was stamped as is the Happy Mother's Day on the inside and the XheartX on the right side. I added three gems on the front sentiment as well. I inked around the edge of the image, which was cut with a Spellbinders die cut. I used some pink ink to match everything.
