CSAYL - Card Sketch

Good Morning and Happy Friday!
This week at CSAYL we are to use our favorite cards sketch with the digital images from Pink
Cat Studio.  Well it happened that I found a card design that I have used several times and it is
this week's card Sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.

What a great idea to makes a card and to be able to enter it into TWO challenges!
Here is the cards sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday...

I hope you join in a CSAYL challenge since we only have a few more weeks left.

Have a Happy Friday!

CSAYL - purple, well burgandy!

Happy Friday!
Are you enjoying the cooler temperatures outside?  I'm not!  Last week we were still in the 80's and this week 50's....brrr.  At least we could have had a few weeks of cooler weather than blowing in a
"early winter warning"  Yes, that is what they said two days ago...and they actually got snow
at the ski resorts.  SNOW!  I moved from Alaska to get four seasons.  So yes across the Reno valley, I can see snow on the tip top of Mount Rose.

I guess that means I should start planning my Christmas gifts for the family, had big plans to make lots of stuff.  But I know that I will have fabulous cards for everyone.
This week's challenge is sponsored by Pink Cat Studio and the challenge was to use purple.
Ok, another silly story I had purple paper in my hand when I was planning this card.  Somehow I got distracted forgot about the purple and went with burgandy.
Isn't burgandy part of the purple family???

Any ways you should hop on over to CSAYL and see what the girls did in purple.  And leave some love for them too!

Have a happy week-end and I will have a great sewing project to share on Monday!

CSAYL - Fancy Shmancy Folds

Yeah! It's Friday and a long week-end.  I'm so happy to just want to putz around the house and try to get my projects all in line...oh and clean my sewing room!

But another reason I like Friday is that I'm another step closer to having all my Christmas cards ready for the holiday season, my family will love it.  And this week at CSAYL we have Pink Cat Studios as our sponsor and the challenge is called Fancy Shmancy.  This means incorporate a fancy shmancy fold on your creation, Well I never follow directions totally...I heard folds and went with it, so my card ended up being a fancy little folded card.  And don't you like my little penguin fairy, to me he/she look festive.

Well I hope you join us with some fancy kind of folds, I would love to see them.

Happy Stamping Friday! - Judy

CSAYL - Gimme the Bird

I love a play on words and this week is!  The CSAYL challenge this week is "Gimme the bird" which is meaning somewhere in your creation there needs to be a bird.

I chose to use this fancy bird from Pink Cat Studios.  It's not a Christmas images but my wild little mind thought it would be great to color it green and red.  And do you love those cute little flowers?  They are from a new Cricut cartridge made for CTMH, which  is sold  through my website for that).

So this week's challenge should be fun, why don't you join us at CSAYL!

Happy Friday! - Judy

CSAYL - Christmas ornaments anyone?

Oh these are so fun!  The other day I was walking around World Market, and this particular day I was not in the wine section (hehehe)...I just love looking at the cooking things.  I have no idea, I'm not much of a culinary person.  I think I'm a closet culinary chef, but reality is I can't live without my crockpot!!
Well back to wandering...I found these cute little tart pans for $1.49  and was sure I could do something with them.  Upon getting home I discovered that there is already a drilled little hole in them, which makes them ideal for hanging.  Christmas ornaments are such a cute little way to say Merry Christmas.

This week at CSAYL we challenge you to make something (card or other) using cardstock.  So my big challenge was to NOT use patterned paper.  This week's sponsor is Pink Cat Studios, you should check out their rubber and digital stamps.  OR better yet join our challenge and maybe you will be our next winner!  That would be awesome!

So I hope you have a happy Friday and tomorrow I will share a sewing project that was done this week!

Happy Turkey Day!

Which is funny, we are not eating turkey this year, we eat it several times a year anyways.  My hubby wanted a ham, so I indulged him this year.  I have a spiral ham cooking in the crockpot and playing in my craft room.  Go figure!  I just can't stay away from that room.  As I sit here I can smell the food cooking.  So I have made a little treat for you today for your nose since you can't smell my ham.

The idea came from a tutorial from Maria, thank you very much for sharing.  And they are so easy to make.  Maria is so very talented you will enjoy her blog.

Suuplies used are CTMH Daydream paper pack, Pink Cat Studio Sick Lily stamp, my Copic markers and a blue ribbon from my enormous stash!  (And little tissue pack from Target!)

PS...we got 6 inches of snow last night, so these little tissues came in handy when we had to dig out Jessie's car that was left out on the driveway!

Happy Thanksgiving - stay safe! - Judy

Happy Veteran's day!

Last night I was coloring again...practice, practice, practice, as my mother would say.  Copic pens do take a little practice to get the shading right.  I guess it doesn't help that I'm crossed eyed and have no depth preception.  But it is a fun challenge.  I couldn't resist this little holiday owl by Pink Cat Studio.

So Happy Veteran's Day, go out and thank a veteran today for keeping us safe. - Judy

Sunday Night Wishes challenge - Bullseye

Sunday night Wishes challenge is back on and still staying with the theme of the week of Christmas cards. Tonya and I are both doing the Wishes card sketch Bullseye on pg. 33. It is a 5x7 card. I thought I would take advantage of having a big card to practice my coloring skills again. I received two more sets of Copic markers Friday…Yeah!

I used another design from Pink Cat Studio, Snowflake fairy Lily. That’s funny; my grand-daughter’s name is Lily. I incorporated Jingle paper pack with the image, added a few snowflakes and blush brads. The sentiment stamp is a retired CTMH stamp.

Let me know if you want to join us on Sunday nights and I can send you an email or I can add you to my yahoo. - Judy

Sunday Night Wishes Challenge

Tonight Tonya and I were hard at making a card from the Wishes Card Program book.  Just love this book!  Anyways, since I still have lots of little people and owls that I have been coloring all week-end.  Have I told you how much I love Copic markers.  Ok...my hubby doesn't like this new obsession with these markers because a set of 36 is over $100.  He will get over it that's why I sell CTMH to fund my obsession with scrapbooking, and card making.

Back to the Sunday Challenge was Sentiment Secured on pg 78 of the Wishes book.

Aren't they cute little owls?  Want a close up?

Love the color combo Sweet leaf, hydrangea and More of Adore (chocolate patterened paper).

Colors used here are Sorbet, honey, blush & chocolate dotted paper.  The owl is a digital design from Pink Cat Studio - so it was contraband week-end for me!  Love to see how our CTMH products work so well with other companies products.
Have a happy Monday! - Judy
