Bags And a Clubsandwich.....

Yesterday my daughter and I played tourist in our own city of Amsterdam. Now for a while The Museum of Bags  had been high on Jennifer's wish list,so that's where we decided to go.
It was a nice experience but not the wow we expected. The building is lovely along the Herengracht, one of the famous Amsterdam canals. But we were finished in an hour.
The decision to have something to eat is never a difficult one for us and Jennifer is addicted to club sandwiches at the moment ...
Last year  the famous Waldorf Astoria Hotel   ( click to read a nice review ) opened right on the other side of the canal, and that too was on our wishlist.
A beautiful building , great food and a wonderful garden.....
A lovely qualilty time day with my radiant daughter......a good start of my holiday....


Gisteren hebben mijn dochter in ik tourist gespeeld in ons eigen Amsterdam. Al een tijdje stond Het Tassenmuseum  op Jennifer's verlanglijstje ,dus besloten we daar maar eens heen te gaan.Het was leuk, maar niet echt de wow factor die we ervan verwacht hadden. Een prachtig gebouw aan de Herengracht, maar we waren eigenlijk in een uur alweer uit gekeken.Nou is het besluit om iets te gaan eten , nooit een moeilijk iets voor ons en Jennifer is tegenwoordig verslaafd aan Club Sandwiches.
Verleden jaar opende het beroemde hotel Waldorf Astoria ( klik om een leuke recensie over het hotel te lezen )  recht tegenover het museum, en ook dat was wel een gebouw dat op ons verlanglijstje stond.
Een prachtig gebouw, heerlijk eten, en een ontzettend mooie tuin.
Kortom een heerlijke dag met mijn stralende doochter..... en goede start van mijn vakantie.

Roses from Amsterdam and a little update

Just an ordinary week, nothing special happened and I must say I like it.Walked Amsterdam and found some beautiful roses growing just like that on the houses.So no exciting things to share with you as I only did the usual things, working,eating ,sleeping, reading and stitching...

A week like this makes my happy and cheerful....Hope your week was just as good.

Gewoon een normale week, niets bijzonders gebeurd en ik moet zeggen dat bevalt me wel.Een wandelingtje gemaakt door Amsterdam en al lopende vond ik prachtige rozen die zomaar aan de muren van de huizen groeien...Dus niets spannends wat ik met jullie kan delen omdat er alleen maar gewone dingen waren zoals werken,eten,slapen,lezen en borduren.

Zo'n weekje maakt me blij en vrolijk..Ik hoop dat jullie week net zo fijn was...

April in Amsterdam

Last week I had to visit the dentist,nothing special only a check-up.It's only a short walk from work to the dentist's but it passes the most beautiful park and area....the Oosterpark in the eastern part of Amsterdam. I am born and raised in this neighbourhood and my mum, brother Ben and best friends still live there.And the hospital, where I work, is also situated in that part...The weather has been great for the past couple of weeks ( we have even been the warmest country of Europe ), and while walking I took some photos..They're not the best as I took them with my mobile but I had sto share these beautiful morning with you.

As for the stitching....not much done.I'm enjoying the weather way too much....I only started a small lavender sachet....

Afgelopen week moest ik voor controle naar de tandarts.Het is maar een kort wandelingetje van mijn werk naar de tandarts, maar het loopt door het mooiste park van Amsterdam...Het Oosterpark gelegen in Amsterdam oost.Dat is de buurt waar ik opgroeide en waar mijn moeder, broer Ben en mijn beste vrienden nog steeds wonen.Het ziekenhuis waar ik werk ligt  er ook.Het weer is gewoonweg geweldig geweest de laatste paar weken ( we waren zelfs het warmste land van Europa..) en  al wandelende heb ik wat foto's gemaakt.Ze zijn niet van een beste kwaliteit want ik heb ze met mijn telefoontje gemaakt maar ik wilde gewoon deze mooie morgen met jullie delen.

Niet veel geborduurd deze week, ik geniet gewoon veel te veel van het mooie weer..ik ben alleen begonnen aan een klein lavendel geurzakje.
