God Bless

Hello Stampers!

Happy Monday!  Last Monday I posted a card made with the same cute little Unity girl and the same beautiful Memory Box die and the same perfect Paper Smooches sentiments.  I loved the combination so I made another card with those supplies!  This time I used the new Bo Bunny Isabella 6x6 pad (beautiful purple and pink and grey tones) combined with some grey and black card stock.

I've coloured this little cutie with Copics on X-Press it and fussy cut her out.  A little tip - use a black marker to trace around the cut edges to give a polished look!

Supplies:
Ribbon:  Bo Bunny, black cardstock, grey cardstock

I've coloured these girls with my Copics as usual - on X-Press It paper.

Stamp:  Uptown girls Belinda and Bernadette the Bench Buddies by Stamping Bella (image & sentiment)
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo black & Rich Cocoa
Paper:  Crate Paper 6x6 in pad Fourteen

Peachy Magnolia

Hello Stampers!

Here is a little Tilda I coloured last week while working on Valentine's cards!  I've been working hard on my ribbon techniques - and feeling much more comfortable with my Bow-easy (what a wonderful little tool).  I've tried to keep the colours pretty soft here, and of course my latest fave thing - a little postage stamp on the corner of the image (this one is Tim Holtz) in Distress Ink (Antique Linen).  I actually took the time to emboss my Nestabilities die this time too - which I rarely do.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Magnolia Tilda with Big Ice Cream
Paper:  Kaiser Craft 6 1/2" paper pad Sweet Nothings
Markers:  Copic
Die:  Cheery Lynn
Ink:  Tim Holtz distress inks (Antique Linen & Tattered Rose)
Flowers, ribbon:  my stash
Adhesive:  3M Scotch ATG & Scotch Scrapbookers Glue
Additional:  Twinklets Diamond Dust (on roses) & Diamond Stickles (on heart)

Happy Monday!

Saturated Canary - Summer

Hi Stampers!

This is Summer by Saturated Canary, one of my current favourite line of stamps to colour.  The paper is "Ready Set Go" 6" x 6" paper pad by Amy Tangerine for American Crafts.  I love the bright pretty colours in this paper!  And orange has always been one of my faves.  The jewels are by Magnolia and the flowers are from my stash.  I used my Tim Holtz tool to twirl the ends and adhesive dots to adhere them to the card.  The sentiment is from Paper Smooches (my absolute go-to sentiment stamps).

Windy is stamped on X-Press It paper, cut out with a Spellbinders Nestabilities label die, and inked with Antique Linen distress ink (my standard technique).

I've coloured her with Copics, and added little touches of white gel pen as well as Copic Atyou Spica pens.

Happy Stamping!

Saturated Canary - Windy Day

Hi Stampers!

This is Windy Day by Saturated Canary, one of my current favourite line of stamps to colour.  The paper is "Ready Set Go" 6" x 6" paper pad by Amy Tangerine for American Crafts.  I love the bright pretty colours in this paper!  And orange has always been one of my faves.  The metal embellishment is a Bo Bunny trinket and the flowers are from my stash.

Fifty Shades

Hello Stampers!

I'm pretty sure that most of you know what this card refers to.  If not, you'll want to Google "50 Shades of Grey" to find out!

I haven't been into the store in a little while, but was there today teaching a Copic 101 class.  SO much fun - as always!  And a great chance to catch up on the new stuff!

I could NOT resist this stamp (which comes as a set of two actually) because it will be PERFECT for all my girlfriends!!

The stamp is by Saturated Canary, called "Grey Tie/ Under Contract".  The paper has been in my drawer for a little while.  I needed grey tones for obvious reasons!  It is Country Boutique by Fancy Pants Designs, 6" x 6" pad.

I've coloured Christian with my Copics.  And I added a few little extra embellishments.  The tie was cut with my Silhouette Cameo, and I cut my image out with a Spellbinders Nestabilities die.

Happy Stamping!

European style Tilda

Hello Stampers!

Here's a little Tilda for a Copics class I'm teaching later this month.  I wanted to make something a little more "European" in style, hence the layers and elements.  I've had cheesecloth in my stash for months now - but this is the first time I've used it!

My flowers and gems are from Wild Orchid.  The clock die is Tim Holtz, and the other swirls and flourishes are Spellbinders.

This is Tilda in Ugg boots from the last release.  The postage stamp is Tim Holtz.  The ribbon is seam binding from Stampin' Up.

I've used an oval nestie and all the edges are distressed with the Prima distressing tool and Tim Holtz distress ink in Tea Dye.

pink and Bella

Hello Stampers and Happy Monday!

I cannot believe that we are already so close to Christmas, where does time go?  Blows my mind.

Anyway, this is my way of slowly "easing" myself into the Christmas theme with my cards, because I'm not quite ready!

Here is a card I taught in class recently.  We did three Bellas with Copics and the same colour scheme.  This is "Nutcracker" from Graphic 45.  I hadn't used much from this company in the past.  But after CHA this summer, I am seeking them out!  Their booth was AMAZING - just blew my mind.  Definitely my fave from the show.

The stamp is Uptown Girl has a Present by Stamping Bella.

Of course she's coloured with my beloved Copics!  I've used R81, 83, 85, 89 for her dress - and accented the corners with some W5 that I sandwiched under the R89 to add extra depth.

Have a great week!

Bella Madison

Hello Stampers and Happy Monday!

I cannot believe that we are already so close to Christmas, where does time go?  Blows my mind.

The stamp is Uptown Madison has a Margarita by Stamping Bella.  I apologize, the Bellas sold out after my class, but I'm sure she'll be back in stock soon!

The sentiment is from Joyful Greetings by Paper Smooches.  Paper Smooches are definitely my favourite sentiment stamps.  I love the fonts!

Have a great week!

Saturated Canary Wendy

Hello Stampers!

Here is another one of my projects with my brand new Saturated Canary stamps!  I've been looking at these online for ages, so was thrilled to get to colour them up now that we have them at SGD!

This is "Wendy"!  She is stamped on XPress It with Memento ink in Rich Cocoa (my favourite!).  She is coloured with Copics, and die cut with my Spellbinders Nestabilities.  While still in the die, I inked up the image with my favourite Tim Holtz distress ink in Antique Linen.  This is my go-to colour!

I've used an old punch to cut out some corner tabs.  And I've used my "Seeing Spots" Cuttlebug embossing folder - which is apparently all the rage again lately!  We can't keep this thing on the shelves, wild.

This paper is one of the newest releases from My Mind's Eye, "Come Away With Me".  I LOVE a new 6x6 pad!

I have to say, I've never been a ribbon girl - but I think that is because I needed some lessons, badly!  Thankfully, BFF Andrea to the rescue - with some "Bow-Easy" lessons, and here we are!  Ribbons!  I have to say, I'm liking them!

Happy Stamping!

Saturated Canary Autumn

Hello Stampers!

Hard to believe that summer is nearly over.  Back to school time is here!  This weekend has been all about school supplies and new shoes in my house.  My soon-to-be third grader is pretty excited!

This is my FIRST fall project of the year!  I wait as long as I can every year, because I love summer so much especially all the bright colours.

This little beauty is one of our brand new line, Saturated Canary, that we ordered at CHA Chicago.  This is "Autumn".  Isn't she sweet?  Those of us who took Suzanne Dean's Copic class on hair the other weekend had fun learning some techniques on these cute stamps.

She is stamped on XPress It with Memento ink in Rich Cocoa (my favourite!).

I've inked the edges with some Tim Holtz distress inks (old paper, frayed burlap, brushed corduroy) using the distress tool.  I've used my Viva Decor pearl pen in bronze to add some accents.

Happy Stamping!

Copic landscapes part 2

Hello Stampers!

As I mentioned in my last post, I've been working on landscape techniques.  A lovely lady in one of my classes loaned me some Heartfelt Creations stamps and this is what I've been working with.

My last post I shared this wonderful video I found on YouTube - and I think this is the best one I've tried so far for sky and for grass.

I also found this awesome tutorial by Copic's own Marianne Walker on water.  I think this is by far the best I've seen.

Happy Stamping!

Lula's Happy Valentine

Hello Stampers!

I love making Valentine's cards, even though I don't send very many.  It's such a nice, bright change after all the snowmen and Christmas cards.

I saw this little cutie at SGD and couldn't resist her.  I've always loved colouring CC Designs with my Copics!

I've used my new favourite Valentine's paper, "Love Me" by My Mind's Eye.  SO adorable - and on trend - with banners, chevrons, and text!

I also used a lace doily stamp from this beautiful stamp set.  I have the matching 6x6 paper pad for it as well, and it's beautiful.  It has music sheets in it!  My fave!

I've stamped Lula on XPress It with Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured her with Copics.  The sentiment is also from CC Designs in this Valentine's Set.

I used a white paper doily from my stash, and sprinkled around some self-adhesive pearls from SU!.  I've inked around edges with Tim Holtz Iced Spruce from his Christmas set

My son Samuel loves to craft with me, and has his own little spot in my craft room (Bless!).  Here is his version!  I don't let him use my Copics, so he colours with his pencil crayons.

Happy Valentine's!

Old ladies at the beach

Hello stampers!

This is my idea of the PERFECT winter scene!!!  I really hope to be one of these old ladies one day - I truly do!  I aspire to spend my old age sat on a beach drinking cocktails, gossiping happily with my girlfriends!  We should all be so lucky.

This stamp just make me smile - I love it!  Thank you Sheila for pointing it out to me.

I've stamped my ladies on Copix XPress It with Memento ink in tuxedo black.  I've coloured with Copics (see colours below) and accented glasses & drinks with a glaze pen.  I FINALLY unpacked my fabulous brand new Copic colours - hurray!!!  LOVE!!

The card stock is an old orange-y colour from SU! and the paper is from the brand new My Mind's Eye Fiddlesticks.  I found it just a little too bold to stamp the sentiment (which came with a Unity snowman), so I inked it up with Ranger acrylic paint dabber in snowcap - just along the bottom right.  Then I stamped the sentiment with Versafine.

I distressed all the edges with my distress tool - then with some distress ink in Old Paper - and then rubbed some Stickles in Platinum along the top edges and corner.

The ladies have been punched out with a Spellbinder Nestability - and inked around the edges with distress ink in Old Paper.  Then I rubbed some Distress Stickles in Rock Candy around the edges.  I've used a Copper Viva Decor Pearl Pen to add a finishing touch.

I'll add this to the following challenges:

Happy Winter!

Inky Valentine's

Welcome our new little stamp friends at SGD from Inky Impressions! This little guy is Mischievous Christopher.
I thought he seemed just right for a Valentine's Day card to a Daddy (bless!). I used my new favorite 6x6 paper pad from My Mind's Eye called "Love Me".
My Mind's Eye Love Me 6x6 Paper Pad LM0112
I love that it has cute banners in it - and isn't all pink & white. PERFECT for a child's card too! Little Christopher is stamped on XPress It with Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with Copics (see colours below).
In fact, my 7 year old, Samuel, loved it so much that he sat down beside me to create one too! Here is the card that he created, with a little cutting help from Mummy of course.
Copics: E01, E00, E000; E35, E31, YR20; R27, R24, R22, R20; BG09, BG07, BG05, BG02; B00; G05, G02, G00; BG10; C1, C0, C000.

Multi-coloured hair

Hello stampers!

This card is certainly different to my usual style, but I had so much fun making it!  I've used a Simply Betty digi called Romance Grace.  Simply Betty is sponsoring this month's challenge at CMC Copic Classroom.  The challenge is multi-coloured hair.

My real crafting passion is for Copics, and I've never done multi-coloured or non-traditional hair colours, so this was a lot of fun for me!  And it was a pretty challenging image too, so I enjoyed it.  She seemed an appropriate choice for kind of "goth" looking hair!

This was also a nice break from Christmas images!

Happy stamping!
