Finish!!  6/30/19 

I've almost finished the house on my son's stocking and I'm thinking of working on this one for a while to move it along.

I went to an estate sale Friday and Saturday.  The lady had been a quilter and a needleworker.  There were a lot of charts and kitted projects and some started projects.  There were also silks.  OMG!!  When I saw the Waterlilies tag, in a bin marked $0.50, I about died.  The first day, I brought home over 50 skeins of Waterlilies and had found Au Ver a Soie.  For $20.  I also got a bag of Weeks for $25.  Saturday, when we went back, there was a tub marked $100 for the entire thing.  There were a lot of Waterliles in the bottom so I bought it.  Here's what I found...

This sale was posted on Facebook Marketplace so I PM'd the daughter and asked about the remaining items since on Sunday the prices had dropped 50%.  I don't know if I'll hear anything back but I'd take all the remaining needlework supplies off their hands because there were things I would have liked, they were just overpriced for a garage/estate sale.

I was working through the confetti of the letters so I just worked each color as it came up over two pages.

It's been about a month since I posted last.  I have been stitching but not making a huge amount of progress with the little bit of time I have in the evenings.  Is tax season over yet??

I have made progress on Lust.  I'm hoping to finish page 33 over the next week or so.

I've also been working on my son's stocking during track meets and sometimes at lunch.  It's pretty much become my travel project.

January update

Since I work for an accounting firm, January sucks!  60 hour weeks are pretty normal which doesn't leave a lot of time for anything but sleeping.  Until the end of tax season, my updates will probably become pretty sparse just because there isn't a lot of progress to show.  That said, here's my January progress on Lust.

I'm hoping in the next few days I'll be able to fill in that blank space and reach the half way point of page 32.

12/24/18

Tonight I finished page 37 of Lust.  Since I've stitched 8 pages of this chart this year, I've taken her off the q-snaps for a bit before I pull her back out in 2019 to focus on her once again and to see her finished before her 10th birthday in October.

I've pulled my stocking back out but I seem to have misplaced the 902 I've been using.  Hopefully tomorrow I can find it so I can finish filling in Santa's coat.

Page finish and an update

It's been a bit.

Last night I finished page 31 of Lust.

I think I'm going to stitch page 37 (bottom left corner), hopefully in the next week, then put this away for a little while.  Then, early next year, I'll pull her back out and push on for a finish.

I've also put some stitches into my son's stocking.

This is what I'm planning on putting some major time into over Christmas.

This is the stocking I started last week.  I wanted to keep the size so I'm stitching on 36 ct and I'm using the DMC conversion.  I didn't like stitching 2x4 so I'm stitching 2x2 and stitching 4 stitches for each square of the chart.
