Distressed elegance

 Good evening to all
I have spent much of the day visiting 2 friends who are ill. They both have very positive attitudes and a VERY strong faith which is helping them and their families and friends through this difficult time. I have others yet to visit and take cards to. Here is one I made that I think will be suitable. You don't always want character images on cards or flowers for men

I made this card using a Sizzix embossing folder. I added tiny gem stones to parts of the embossed image.

TGF 12 Days of Sketches - day 12

Well here it is, my last entry for TGF 12 Days of Sketches - day 12. I have really enjoyed dong this and would like to thank Cindy Haffner for being my inspiration. Her cards are always fabulous and she always leaves comments every time she visits which I really appreciate.
The image is coloured with Copics. The mustard card has been embossed with a Sizzix folder. The flower image was part of the paper which I cut so as to fit the stamped image under it. I have used gems on the flower too

Any one for Anya? and Passion for Promarkers

Hello everyone. Hope all of you are well. Is it blustery and wet by you? Hope you are all coping okay. My thoughts are with all those who have been flooded recently.
My son, Daniel is off work today. He's been ill since Friday. We thought he had swine Flu( spoke to a nurse at our doctors) . They put us in touch with the Swine Flu pandemic center who say he hasn't got it. So now I have to take him to the doctors tonight at 5.30 pm. Hopefully they can sort him out.
The card I have made today covers 2 challenges, Anyone for Anya? and Passion for Promarkers.
AFA's theme is faux so I have made a flower. My first one following the Fabulous tutorial by Michele Roos. The colour theme for PFP is Burnt umber and marsh green. I pretty much stuck to just the two colours on my Anya image. The sentiment is a Sizzix embossing folder with Sizzix cardstock that I lightly sanded. The flower is made from handmade papers cut from a Sizzix die. Paper was from my stash.
