Stamp-A-Stack Creations!!!!

Last night my 'tiny' dining table was squished FULL of lovely lovely ladies all there to Stamp up a Storm. It was our regular 'Stamp-a-Stack' night. I'd been asked by the lovely Sammy (HELLOOOOOO Sammy!!!!) to come up with 'Occassions' cards. Now let me tell you, under normal circumstances I'd come up with a whole collection of cards that could be used for any occassion, but with the 'Occassions' title, my brain seemed to turn to mush and I had a few moments of 'What on earth am I going to do!!!!'. Never fear though, my stamping brain FINALLY returned, after copious amounts of Milo and Chocolate and here are the cards we all made.

Of course you've already seen the first two on this post here, one for 'CONGRATS' and the other for perhaps a House Warming.

The girls wanted occassions such as Wedding, Engagement, Sympathy, Get Well, Good Luck.

Here is the one I came up with for the Wedding/Engagement Card:-

It's quite similar to this one I made a little while ago, but I got the idea of using Boho Backgrounds from here.

This one I came up with to use for a Get Well or Good Luck (really any occassion is good for this one), It's nice and bright and I used Cameo Coral... WOW, been wanting to tackle my fear of this colour for a long time... I'm quite proud of myself. hahaha You may have seen this card before on my blog in different colours here.

This next one I had 'Sympathy' card in mind when I came up with it, but again, it can be used for any occassion.

So there you go, hope you like them, the lovely ladies last night assurred me that they enjoyed making all of them.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sweet Sunday Sketch #13

Hello!!! Hope you all had a lovely Easter.

Well would you look at this.... I think I actually have time to spare!!! hahaha. My little darlings were kind to Mummy this afternoon and both went down for a nap at the same time and gave me a moment to make a card. They're awake now... so this will have to be quick!!!

Here is Karen's sketch for this week:-

And here is my card:-

Yes.... I'm back to having some PINKNESS!!! I figured it was time... the last few cards I've made have been without a trace of my beloved colour. Although... this colour combo is one that I've not used before. Pretty in Pink, Close to Cocoa and So Saffron. I used my Boho Background stamp and the bottom panel is one of the background stamps from the set which I've Clear embossed using embossing powder and my Heat Tool.. The centre of the flower I've added some extra dimension by using some Crystal Effects to make my own 'Brad' I guess.
The sentiment is stamped in Close to Cocoa and is from the Short and Sweet set.

Hope you like.
Thanks for stopping by.

A Wedding!

Hi There, hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. This one is going to be pretty quick unfortunately.... I'm currently fighting a NASTY Bug, which seems to have knocked me for a SIX, hopefully I'll make it to bed early and feel better in the morning.. technically I should get an extra hour sleep tonight, given Day Light Savings finishes at 2am here in WA... here's hoping my little darlings SLEEP for the extra hour!!!! Well one can hope can't they..hahaha.

Anyway lets get back on track... some of our dear friends (Craig and Kellee) are getting married tomorrow so I had to make a card for them on their very special day. Given I'm not feeling the best, I just wanted it to be quick and simple but classy and elegant. Well, here's what I came up with, and I think I managed to achieve my FOUR wants.

I dont often make ALL White cards, but I figured what could be more simple that white. I've used my Boho Background and Forever in My Heart stamp sets (Forever in my Heart is being retired in3 days!!!!). After sitting at my desk pondering or perhaps procrastinating for a bit I came up with the idea of Heat Embossing one of the background stamps (Boho Backgrounds) onto the card, so I inked up the Flower stamp with my VersaMark Pad and then used some White Embossing powder and my Heat Tool to get the effect on the bottom of the card. Then I used my Forever in my Heart set and stamped the 'love' heart stamp in versamark and the solid spotted heart in versamark and used some Silver Embossing Powder and my Heat Tool, then I popped them all up on some dimensionals. A touch of white ribbon and some silver cord and Voila.... there you have it my 'quick, simple, classy and elegant' Wedding Card.

Oh and if you'd LOVE to get your hands on the 'Forever in Your Heart' stamp set then email me before Tuesday, because on Tuesday this gorgeous set will be retired!!!

HOpe you like it.

Thanks for stopping by.

Wonderful Friend

Hi There!!!

It's Colour Challenge time again and this week Kristina most definately set a HARD one.... gosh, I most definately struggled with this one... but I wasn't going to give in... Here is the inspiration picture for this week:-

The colours we had to use were Ruby Red, Pretty in Pink, Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White.

And here is the card I came up with:-

I used Whisper White as the base of my card... and in hindsight... probably NOT such a wise choice.. but that's what I started with, so I told myself that's what I'll finish with. I used the same technique that Kristina used on her MACM - Love You Card by scalloping the bottom of the white card and adding a piece of Pretty in Pink on the bottom, which I also added some paper piercing to. I used my Boho Backgrounds stamp set and stamped the flower stamp in Pumpkin Pie, Ruby Red and Pretty in Pink then restamped the centre flower in the same colours before I added a tiny bit of 'SPARKLE' then I attached it to each of the images with a silver brad and used Dimensionals to add them to the card. The sentiment 'Wonderful Friend' is also from the Boho Background set which I've stamped in Ruby Red and underlined with the dots on the same stamp which I coloured with my Markers...(oohhh I do LOVE my new markers!!!)
I then added some Pretty in Pink ribbon to finish it off.

So there you have it... for me A VERY tough challenge... and I'm still not sure that I'm happy with the end result.. but I did promise myself I'd get a card done for this challenge.

Hope you like it.
