CASology #386 Long

 Hi All

Here is my take:

I did immediately think of slimline cards as they seem to be the what is 'in' at the moment but I have not caught the bug for this.
So had a long think and suddenly remembered I had a sentiment with the word 'long' in it-so went with that!
The sentiment is from Visible Image

CASology #385 Luck

 Hi All

Time for a new challenge at CASology and this week our cue word is:

And here is my take:

You maybe thinking...what has this got to do with 'Luck'???

I don't really send out 'good luck' cards, I like to send more 'empowerment' cards is someone needs 'good luck'. I was unsure what to do so looked up what animals represented 'Luck'. And in India the Elephant is a sign of luck, it is seen as a positive omen which stems from it's status symbol in the country. The Elephant is seen as a bringer of wealth and fortune!
So I used my gorgeous Erin Lee Creative Indian stamp set for my card.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Shelley-her blog is a delight to visit, pop on over there!

So what is your take on our cue word?

CASology #384

 Hi Crafty Friends,

Time for a new challenge at CASology and our cue word is:

This I struggled with as I have no stamp images of a fox. So I had to think way out of the box!
I went with 'Fox' in the terms of a 'Foxy' Lady....in other words a chic lady and made this:

This image is from STAMPlorations and I decided to make her really chic using only neutral colours-I used copics here.

So what does our cue word mean to you?

CASology #383

Hi All

Time for a new challenge at CASology
Our cue word is:

I made this:

I went literal with this!

I do love to place the image and the sentiment together at the top or bottom of a CAS card. Hard to get the right images and sentiments to do this but here I loved what I came up with. Just some tiny gems to add some more interest.

This sweet little bird dropping off a card in an envelope is from Funky Fossil Designs and the sentiment from CASual Fridays

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very creative Rahmat. I am sure many of you know what a superb designer she is! I am a super fan! Take a look at her blog here and join me as a fan!

CASology #382

HI All

Time for a new challenge at CASology

Our cue word is:

I struggled with this one but had a look through my stash and came across this die of a young girl and boy holding hands....uniting them!

So it was easy to make this quick card-just popped on the die-popping it up on foam pads and added this sentiment!

Still lots of white space!

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Tracy-she is so creative-take a look at her blog here!

Hi All

Time for a new challenge at CASology and the cue word is:

And my take:

I did have another card for this but then was watching a Christmas movie set in London and saw all the Christmas lights-along one of the main streets in London they have huge Angels that change colours, it is a stunning view. Every year hubby and I go into town to see all the lights. But with covid this year, no trip.....a cherished memory and let's pray that next year we get to see them!

CASology #377

Hi Crafty Friends,

We have a new challenge at CASology.

Here is our cue word:

And my card:

Well I thought this would be easy but no!
I tried out all my ideas and none worked. So in the end I water coloured a sheet of paper in lots of different sunset colours and just left it on the side for a few days....and then suddenly an idea came to me!

I just die cut a cloud from the sheet and one strip to add interest-not a traditional sunset card but I did it!

The sponsors for this challenge are Uniko

CASology #376

Hi All

Time for a new challenge at CASology

Here is my take:

And our cue word is:

She is cleary dry under her umbrella!
To take the cue word further one I did some 'dry' embossing-running it through a polka dot embossing folder to add some 'rain' like texture!
This is a layout I love to use with big images to make a CAS card.

I decided to stamp in navy and have a navy base as it seemed to go with my theme better than black!!

Our sponsors for this challenge are STAMPlorations

Our Guest Designer is the wonderful Jasleen-I am a long time fan!

The image and sentiment are from Visible Image

CASology #375

Hi Crafty Friends,

Time for a new challenge at CASology
And here is our cue word:

And my take:

This cue word made me think of spices we add to food-and these can be hot and smokin'!
And also along the lines of 'hot'....we all still have 'hot bodies'...right??
Also I was thinking along the lines of saying something 'spicy' and thought this sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps covered both my ideas!

Our sponsors for this challenge are Your Next Stamp

Our Guest Designer is the amazing Galina-please pop on over to her blog and she how fabulous a designer she is!

So what does 'Spice' say to you??

Let's Dance!

Hi There,

This afternoon I saw the new challenge at CASology-Fun, and an idea popped into my head. I had been thinking of the 'Exotic' challenge at Less is More and the Silhouette challenge at Addicted to CAS for a few days as I wanted to enter both. It wasn't until I saw the 'Fun' challenge that the idea for this idea card came to me. Weird how this happens but great when it does!

This is what I came up with:

The background is made out of brushos and just looks like the most exotic sunset. What could be more fun than dancing the Tango at sunset. The idea came to me quickly but it took me ages to decide what colour panels to put the card onto. I tried lots of ideas and finally came across this cream coloured card that I rarely use as it looks a bit to yellow to me but it seem to go perfectly with the brusho background.

The sentiment is from PTI and the silhouette is from STAMPlorations.

My sister is a superb dancer and this card is going to her.

Have a good day my friends x

I will enter this into:

STAMPloration CAS-gold-could my sunset be golden-if not I go with no twist.

Distress and more Distress!

A very happy Monday,

I had an idea for the 'distress' challenge at CASology last week when my laptop was driving me mad. I wanted to pick it up and smash it against the wall. I know you all know this feeling. What do you do when the computer is playing up....press control, alt, delete and cross your fingers! I was very distressed. Light bulb moment which led to creating this card using the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch for my layout. If you have time and want a giggle carry on reading after seeing my card to see how distressed I really got making this card!!

The stamps are from CASual Fridays and inside the card I have used from the same set 'we all need a re-boot'. It will be a fun card for someone going into hospital for a minor op, to make them smile. I made a stencil after die cutting my splash die and just sponged with distress ink.

Now for the story behind the card:

Once I had the idea, this was meant to be a quick and easy CAS card-no. I got the stamps out and had a play so I knew where I wanted to position them. As I came to stamp them, I had lost the 'Ctrl' stamp. I looked everywhere for it-under the table, the bed, in every drawer. I was getting more and more distressed. And where was it-stuck to the 'delete' stamp. It took me over 30 mins to find.

While I was making the card I decided to run a bath and by the time I had finished the card the bath was freezing, so no bath.

There are a few other things that happened that made me more distressed making this but I won't bore you.

Today they seem funny and I like the card but yesterday I really was distressed with a card that should have taken me 5 mins!

Enjoy your day x

Less is More and CASology

Hi There,

Popping in with a card I made this evening inspired by 2 challenges:

Less is More-white on white-Happy 5th Birthday
CASology-glitter

Sorry about the shadows but it is dark now and I needed to photo tonight as tomorrow I have posts already scheduled and I didn't want to miss CASology.

I used glitter white card to die cut the bow tie. Then to add some interest and texture I die cut a stitched rectangle die and linen embossed the base card. I added dimension by using foam pads. I do like white on white and adding texture and dimension I think really helps.

Enjoy your Sunday x
