Butter London Boho Rock Collection Swatches - Goss and Keen

Hi guys! Today I have two polishes from the recent Butter London Boho Rock Collection to show you.
These two shades are gorgeous and extremely wearable, I hope you guy enjoy the swatches!

Butter London Goss
Goss - Two coats.

Goss is an elegant rose gold metallic foil polish.

The formula on Goss wasn't bad, you have to apply slowly and smoothly in order to avoid brushstrokes.
I really love it and I can't wait to try it with stamping plates! I don't have another rose gold metallic in my collection.

Butter London Keen
Keen - Three coats.

Keen is a really pretty delicate peach creme polish.

Keen applied good, it was a little streaky but nothing difficult.
It's a really nice peachy nude polish and I really liked it on me!

_______________________________________________________

As you can see I decided not to add the descriptions today. I felt they were just misleading.
They describe the shades as neon which they aren't, they are bright and gorgeous but just not neon.
Barielle has been releasing some really fantastic collections this year! Really gorgeous cremes.
The collections this year are already some of my favorite Barielle's!

This collection follows suit with a small exception, Magna Cum Laude Turquoise.
Mine was streaky which you can kind of see in the picture. I do believe a third coat would have taken care of the streaks and it wasn't horrible to apply. Just not the standard I hold for Barielle based on their other polishes.
Although I could have gotten a off bottle, other reviews seem fine.

I recommend doubling on base coat with it also, I had no staining but just to be safe.
And also while you're at it I would with Head of the Class Green as well.
It didn't stain my nails but it was a pain to get off my skin, so apply carefully and double up to be safe!

All of the other shades in this collection had impeccable formulas and applied super easy!
I'm loving Straight A Coral so much, I don't understand I used to hate corals but this year I love them!

Follow Barielle on Facebook and Twitter!

You can purchase Barielle Shades from their website.
They retail for $8.00 or  you can purchase this whole collection in a kit for $25.00.

I received my new nail art brushes and wanted to put them in use!
I tried my hand at a Tribal Manicure! I'm out of practice and despite the topcoat smearing I think it came out okay!
And really I need to find a better topcoat, I waited THREE hours before top coating in hopes to prevent smearing :(
Nope didn't help. Damn you SV. -_-

The base color is Illamasqua Load, and the black is Milani Black Swift. All the other colors are from this Barielle collection!

And of course I added Butter London Matte Finish.

Barielle Brillaint Colors Collage (1)

What are your thoughts on this collection? I love the colors they chose!
Also who watched True Blood? :)

Jack The Lad
"Opaque, moss green shimmer with gold, turquoise, and green micro glitter."

I used three thin coats for full opacity. This is such a gorgeous intricate rich shade!
The formula was very smooth and easy to work with. A little thin but it doesn't run or pool.
Butter London Tart With A Heart (2)Butter London Tart With A Heart (1)
Tart With A Heart
A clear base with gold microglitter and opalescent glitter.

I layered two thin coats over Jack The Lad. This manicure was so complex and gorgeous!
The formula was perfect, no issues with spreading the glitter evenly at all.
Butter London Tart With A Heart Matte
Then I decided to make it matte! I mattified it with one coat of Butter London's Matte Finish Topcoat.

I also layered one coat over China Glaze When Stars Collide, which is a insanely beautiful combination!

Halloween Nail Art Challenge - Z is for Zombies 10/9

BRAAAIIINNNNSSSSSS hehe Today's Nail art challenge is ZOMBIES!
While I'm sure mine isn't the best or most creative-I really LOVE it!

The first few photos were taken right after I did them! I was like hell, why clean up lets add shit!
Haha so I used some matte burgundy, black and dark brown eye shadows to make my hands and cuticles look extra gross. including some liquid eyeliner to accentuate the creases on my fingers/knuckles.

Then before posting I decided to clean them up, the eye shadows were already washed off from washing my hands so lets make it look nice to wear in public haha..yes I do indeed plan to!
I also added a bit more "blood".
I will list the polishes & stuff I used below the pictures!
Zombie Nails Zombie Nail Art Zombie Nail Art Zombie
And all tidied up..
Zombie Mani Zombie Mani Zombie Manicure Zombie Manicure
I was trying to make them look like they were rotting, bloody and bruised under my nail.
I love how it came out :)

What I used!

I started with Nailtiques & basecoat per usual, followed with a single coat of Deborah Lippmann-Naked.
Afterwards I used a medium striping brush to line the Lunula of my nail with Urban Decay-Apocalypse.

Then using wedge makeup sponges, I sponged the following colors on rather randomly.
I used Zoya-Codie plus three acrylic paints in Burnt Umber, Burnt Sienna, and Raw Umber.
I also used the same colors to paint a bit of lines/marks with the same striping brush.

When that was dry I used two very thin coat of French Tip Dip Sheer Genius to sandwich what I did to make it appear beneath my nails. I added a coat of Seche Vite.
Here is what I did that you shouldn't do! (If you wanted to create this effect anyway.)
Do NOT add the blood before you use matte topcoat! Unless you want it all matte.
I wanted the blood to look fresh and running down my finger tips. SO I had to go back over it with topcoat to make it shiny lol. Not the end of the world but meh. Anyways..
After that is dry, using China Glaze-Ravishing Dahling (my go to blood color!)
I added the "blood"with a combo of the striping brush, and the brush from the polish bottle. Mostly the bottle brush to make it less neat. I used Butter London-Matte Finish to make it matte, and SV to make it shiny.

That is all! It sounds like it took sooo much longer than it really does-trust me!
I really hope you guys liked my gross nails :)
I'm a weirdo and seriously love them! Speaking of Zombies who else can't wait for The Walking Dead?!

Off to sleep! Bye guys!

My Minnie Mouse Mani for Skylar's Birthday!

Hey guys, I've been meaning to post this for days and haven't seemed to have time to get around to it.
I decided to just post a cell phone picture I took today.
I really want to change up my nails and this is chipping and has some tip wear.
Sorry about the crappy quality! I did this mani for my daughter's third birthday on the 24th! <3

Here is a break down of what I used on each finger.
Pointer: Lush Lacquer-Chubby Checker (4 coats, DEF layering next time lol)
Middle: Butter London-The Black Knight (3 coats)
Ring: China Glaze-Dance Baby (3 coats), Illamasqua-Scorn, Milani-Fast Fushcia.
Pinky: Orly Flirty (2 coats), Windestine-Carbon Copy.

I did the Minnie outline with Scorn, just the polish brush. And I did the bow in white first with a nail art brush. Not the neatest mani but Skylar loved it :)

And here are a few pictures of my birthday girl!
If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram, you have probably already seen these..sorry!
Birthday Breakfast
I made her a Minnie pancake :)
