I came home from work last week and found the neighbor kids coloring their sidewalks with sidewalk chalk. I told them that my walkway was looking a little empty and that I wished somebody would color mine... about 30 min. later they knocked on my door and this is what they had made me.

Happy Birthday LEVI!!!
Levi turned 24 today. (Yes... he is younger than me... don't go there.) I wanted to take the time and wish him a very, very happy birthday!!! We celebrated with cake and ice cream yesterday with some of our friends. It was so much fun to have them over to celebrate with us. I'm also glad we made it through without any cake being thrown around my house. (You'd have to know Fiscus and Orr to truely appreciate that statement.) :)
Levi found the concert tickets I inteded to give him for his birthday about a month ago, so he really didn't have a surprise. I was able to get two DVD's on a sweet clearance at Blockbuster that I was able to surprise him with. (He is STILL claiming he is not a snoop and the he just "stumbles" onto things, but I am calling him on that crap right now!)
I was so excited to make Levi a birthday cake this year. (I know... how lame am I right?) I've wanted to try one of those pull-apart cupcake, cakes for a while, so that's what I decided to try. It took a lot of icing to cover up all my mistakes (a LOT), but in the end it turned out alright. I ended up using two cake mixes and two containers of icing so if anyone gets a cupcake craving in the next few days... we've got leftovers... plenty.

You gotta love public transportation.
Since my car kicked the bucket (rest in peace little red honda!) Levi and I have been confined to one car. It's really no big deal... we've been making it work for 2 weeks now. The only problem is that we work/go to school in two different cities. (Me in Layton, him up to Weber's campus)
We've been bumming rides, picking up/dropping each other off, and on some occasions taking the UTA bus. It takes me a little longer to get home, but it's worth it, plus I only have to do it on Friday's.
So... I'm on the bus coming home from Layton today. Stopping, going, stopping, going... etc. you get the idea. I had my headphones in and was just trying to enjoy the ride as much as possible, we pull up to one of the many, many stops on the side of the road, and I couldn't believe what happened next. The bus driver HIT the bus stop sign that he was stopping at. HIT IT! We all had to get off the bus and try to fit on the next one., which we didn't, so some of us ended up waiting for the one after that.
It took me 2 hours to get from Layton back to our house. I was so tired. I got home, took a shower and put everything I had on in the washer. (Public transportation is handy... but I'm not taking THOSE kind of chances!!!)
I really hope we find a car this weekend... but I'm not holding my breath. (Well I might if I ride the bus again.) :)
