Adding Sequins to Stitched Cards

I recently added beads to a stitched piece for a card, so now it was time to try sequins. A beading needle is a must. Just FYI. I show you how I added the sequins in the video here.

How to turn stitched backgrounds into cards.

I almost forgot to share this one before the fall season was over. Another stitched card panel was completed. Here is how I made it into a card. Love the alternate color scheme. To see the 1-minute video of this card please click here.

Stitched Apple

If you have never completed stitching on a card. I highly suggest it.  So much fun.  Here is a cute apple that I can confirm is not poisonous in case you were wondering.

Embroidery Floss Used to Make a Plaid

I saw this on Pinterest, using embroidery thread to make a plaid. I would have never thought to do that. It really makes a great card. You should definitely use a strong adhesive. I used double-sided tape as it made sense to me to help keep the ends in place as I worked on other portions of the plaid. I just kept this card simple adding a focal image along with a sentiment. I really wanted the texture of the floss to be the shining component. This is actually a fairly quick card to make. Beginner cardmakers could easily handle this. Hope you give it a go.

I do have a 1-minute video on making this card. You can check it out here.

Stitched Heart Card 2: Stepped UP

I did a short showing how to do this simple stitched heart. See this video: I then used one of my stitched cards to make a pretty simple card, great for a beginner: See this video:

Today I stepped it up a bit adding a die-cut frame colored with distress oxide ink and gold specks (thanks to some gold watercolor paint). I added some patterned paper and in no time had a card that was stepped up a bit. Hope you enjoy watching this come together.

🧵Stitched Hearts on Cardstock

Yes, you can add 🧵stitched pieces to cards. I made two of these lovelies for cards just in time for Valentine's day. Want to see the cards I made with these? You'll have to check out my channel in the coming days to see how those turned out. For this, I used a heart-shaped die to trace out on some cardstock. I used a poking tool to add the holes as evenly as possible around the perimeter of the heart. With ombre pink thread I then added the stitches coming up through the hole around the perimeter and down through the center. Love it! 💖 This is also simple enough for a beginner. I hope you will try it out for yourself.

Stitched Card Designs

🧵 I love stitching on cards. But I also tend to hoard them and never turn them into a card. I changed that however by turning two of my latest stitched creations into cards. My YouTube channel shows all the backgrounds I have completed and how I turned this cute elephant into a card. As a bonus also see the "sampler' I did as well. Check it all out on my YouTube channel here.

Stitched cards, other projects, etc.

Hello my fellow crafters.  Life has been busy.  As you may have noticed I haven't been posting much.  Between, school, work, and family I have not had time to shoot videos or post.  That doesn't mean I haven't been creating though.  I wanted to to stop by and show you some of the cards I have been making.  I hope you enjoy.  When I am busy like this I do have more time to get things loaded to instagram so you can always find me there or my Facebook page.  I will leave the links down below.
