Galentines Cards, Done

Time to use those cute #Gallentinesday stickers I made using Cricut Design Space.  I used 2024 December’s Sheetload of Card Sketch to bring these cards together.  The patterned paper is from a Recollections Paper pad I thrifted back in California.  I love using the Sheetload Sketches.  It is always a win.  I make multiple cards, I use up my paper (of which there is a lot), and the work of figuring out all the cutting is done for me.  You can’t beat that.

Personalized Notecards Using Cricut Design Space Images

I had a co-worker I wanted to make some personalized cards for.  Cricut Design Space was just the place to go to get the look I wanted.  I kept this pretty simple since I wanted to be able to mass-produce these for others.  You can have these personalized for a great gift for someone.

Cricut Heart Background-Cricut Design Space

To make some simpler cards, I tend to put my Cricut Explore to work.  I found this lovely heart background in Cricut Design Space.  I knew it was destined to be one of my Valentine’s cards this year.  I could have done so many techniques, but I kept this one super simple.  I found a heart background paper in my stash to layer behind it.  I topped it off with a print and cut sentiment also that I found in Cricut Design space.  A few sequins and a dash of a glitter pen and I called it done.  What Valentine’s projects have you been up to?  Let me know in the comments section.

This turned out better than I expected it to. I created all the elements for the sunflower and butterflies in Cricut Design Space. I did add a bit of shading using some inks, then put the card together cutting off a few of the leaves of the flower. Then added the butterflies to look as if the flower was turning into butterflies. I added a simple sentiment to leave the focus on the image. You can follow this link to the Design Space Mat if you want to try this yourself. You can also, go here to watch the 1-minute video of how I put this card together.

Let's Make a Card Using: Twine, Red/Yellow, Spicy, and 3x3 as the elements

Thanks to Crafty Roulette on YouTube, I have another card put together. The elements that needed to be used this week are in the description. Below I will have a link to Crafty Roulette's YouTube channel in case you want to join in this coming week. I used images from Cricut Design Space for my image. I didn't have anything that would work in a physical stamp. I printed this out and then set to work making it a 3 x 3-inch panel. I colored the bottle and label with the colors red and yellow. For the twine I just gathered it up in the corner...now bows this time. The banner I hand cut using Cricut glitter cardstock. I love that stuff. It is no shed and the perfect weight. I had to include some gold flat back gems of course. Here is where you can find Crafty Roulette here on YouTube.
I have a quick video putting this card together if you want to check it out on my YouTube channel here.

You can use Vinyl on your Cards?

I forget I can use vinyl on my cards. When @jaxwritesongs put out her newest song "I know Victoria's Secret", I just had to make a card. I knew what I wanted to have on the card so I turned to the medium I knew would be the easiest for this card, vinyl. That meant hauling out my Cricut which has not been used in a bit. Everything I needed I found on design space. I love it when that happens. I have put the link here in case you want to make your own card.

I do have a short video about this card if you want to check it out here.

Using those Scraps and Adding Gilded Flakes

One of my resolutions this year was that I would make sure to use scraps from my scrap bin one card a month at the minimum. Here is February's card. I used some scraps that measured about 1 1/2 inches by 5 1/2 inches. I placed them on a piece of cardstock covered in double-sided adhesive. I left gaps on purpose and added gilding flakes to the rest of the exposed adhesive. I added a few other elements including a sentiment I made using Cricut Design Space. It was cut out using my Cricut Explore. This only took a little time. So, I ended up making 3 more cards. To see those beauties you can see them below Hope this inspires you!

Split Card Desing = 4 CARDs!

I have done the split card design using half of the 8 1/2 x 11 inch card stock....but nothing says you can't use the whole thing.  Then you have 4 cards done in one sitting.  This worked out so well.  Thanks to Cricut design space and my Cricut Explore these beauties were put together in about 15-20 minutes.  Hope this inspires you to make a few cards today!

Check out the video here to see how I put these together.

Let's Use up Some Washi!

So I have been doing some budget 💵friendly cardmaking ideas over on TikTok. This one I found on Pinterest of using Washi tape to create a frame then adding your image/sentiment in the middle.

You all know you have too much washi tape....so get those rolls out. This is a great way to use some of it up...and yes if you finish a roll of your favorite washi I promise there will be other washi tapes waiting in the wings to become your favorite. Stop the hoarding! ( I am not yelling at you I am yelling at myself. 😆) I have made several of these, some with all Dollar Tree items, others with things from my stash that I am trying to use. This particular one is a sticker I made with my Cricut Explore on Design Space. Let me show you the rest of these...I think they are so cute!

So I wanted to share a simple way to make some quick Valentine's Day💖 cards using stickers I put together in Cricut Design Space. So I made some stickers a few years ago in Design Space. When rifling through my stash I noticed I still had a few left. So I decided to turn the few I had left into cards. Today on my YouTube channel I shared this one. Such a simple go-to design that works EVERY TIME. This is a great project for a beginner cardmaker or for mass production. Head on over to my YouTube Channel to check out the rest of the stickers, see me make this card, and get the link to the mat for Cricut Design Space. The link for my YouTube channel is here.

Thinking of You Owl

Sorry my crafty friends that it has been a while since I have posted.  My work life has been particularly demanding, so any time I have had I have been making pretty things.  Just not blogging about them.

But on, to one of the cute cards I have sent out recently. (That's right, I actually sent a card...Don't know about you but I make a lot of cards just never get around to the sending part).

This is one I made to send to a co-worker to let them know all of us at work had been thinking about them.  My Cricut was the star of the show for this one.  That turned out to be a good thing since I needed to make 4 of them.  So, while  I had everything out I just went to town.

The card base is a tri-fold from K&Co.  I have had these beautiful cards in my stash foever.

The background patterned paper is from Recollections.  The shape on the front that has "We have all been" is created with the Cricut and then die cut.  The cute owl is all from Cricut access.  I put it together using Ranger Multi-Medium.

On the inside, the Thinking of You sentiment was also created using a Cricut access sentiment.  I added more polka dot patterned paper on the inside to add some more interest.

This card was 5 x 7 so there was plenty of room for everyone to send well wishes to our co-worker.

I am adding this card to the following challenges:

Hang in There

I am putting my Cricut Expressions through it's paces today.  I missed this by a day for Curtain Call's Winter Wonderland challenge.  I wanted to get this completed and up last night, but it just didn't happen.  However.  I loved the inspiration image and just had to make the card.

I started out with a background of simple blue lined off white paper by K&Company's Julianne collection.  I then used an image from the cricut library of a cool framed snowflake for the next layer.  This layer I popped up on foam mounts.  Then finally I cut out a basket and milk bucket with my cricut.  I placed the milk bucket in the basket.  I added some silver eyelets for interest.

At the top I tied a twine bow and cut a couple of tags using a sizzix die.  The sentiment is stamped in Staz On Brown ink and then popped up on top of some glittered paper.

Most every image is distressed with Ranger Distress inks in Gathered Twigs or Faded Denim.

The lay out is from this weeks Mojo Monday Blog # 379.

I am entering this in Mojo # 379.
