Hey There...

Hey There Friends...  Still on vacation, but, I stopped back home this morning before church to make a card for a "Tweener"...  So many of the images I have are a bit too young, but I did come across this awesome image from Birdie Brown that I think is just perfect for that age!!

I used the Sketch from this week's Challenge over at Sketch Saturday.  The papers are from My Mind's Eye - Tangerine!!  I colored the image with my Copics and added some Twine from my stash.  The sentiment is Paper Smooches.  Inside, of course it says Happy Birthday!!

Thanks so much for visiting my Blog!!

Blessings to you!!

Are your Toes in the Sand???

Happy Tuesday friends - time for Team B to bring you a new Challenge over at Tuesday Throwdown.  This week's Challenge is Sponsored by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps and our Theme is... Toes in the Sand!!  Have you gotten any good beach time yet this Summer??  I haven't... yet.  I'll be heading to the Cape mid August through Labor Day and will be getting my toes in the sand for sure.  In the mean while, work and Wedding planning are keeping me pretty busy.  I loved pretending with this Challenge though and chose Hello Summer  which features fun images direct from the beach along with two summery sentiments for my Theme card!!

I used the Sketch from this week's Challenge over at Sketch Saturday.

I hope you will head on over to Tuesday Throwdown and check out the rest of the DT cards.  And join us - get those toes in the sand and play along!!

Blessings to you!!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #169 Perfectly PINKalicious!!

Early morning card making - a GREAT way to start a Friday!!  Sassy Cheryl's Challenge this week is Perfectly PINKalicious!!  Love pink (love green more), but who doesn't love pink...?   Perfect Challenge to use a new paper pad I recently purchased from Lili of the Valley, "Perfect Pair" from the NitWit Collections, lots of PINK papers along with a touch of my favorite green ;-) !!

I chose this cute Sassy Sally image "Autumn Swing" (although I fussy cut the image and left the falling leaves for another time...  now it's a Spring Swing =), and colored her up with my Copics.  I used the Sketch from Sketch Saturday - lots of fun little details to this Sketch!!  The flowers are cut with a die from Taylored Expressions - Bugabee Flowers.  The sentiment is from Paper Smooches.

Here's my Sweet Sassy Sally card...

Challenges:
Sassy Cheryl's - Perfectly PINKalicious

Sketch Saturday

I made a quick card yesterday morning for a friend who did me a HUGE favor installing a ceiling fan!!  Definitely something I can not do myself!!  So, I made her this Thank You card using an adorable image from adfd of hatching ducklings...  only, for the purposes of this card I am pretending they are Swans.  On the way to my church there has been a nest with a Momma Swan sitting atop 5 eggs...  I have been checking for her whenever I drive by.  It's been well over a month and a half and she still sits...
Last night both the Momma and Papa Swan were on the nest.  Lo and behold my friend called me this morning to say the eggs were hatching!!!  I Can Not Wait to see these babies!!

The card is made from the Sketch over at Sketch Saturday.  The image colored with my Copics and I added the sentiment from Paper Smooches.  These baby Swans (and my friend) have been a BLESSING to me these last several weeks.  I LOVE to see God's hand at work in Nature and this has been so Special this Spring.  Hopefully I will get some pics of the little family to share soon.

Thinking of You...

I was intrigued by the Challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog - #157 Green, White and Orange.  Not colors I work with often, at least the orange, so I was excited to give it a whirl and I love how the card turned out =)  I used the Sketch from Sketch Saturday's Challenge, a retired Close to My Heart paper pack - Florentine, this adorable image from Sassy Cheryl's Stamps - Quiet Moments colored up with my Copics!!  (If you haven't checked out Sassy Cheryl's new shop...  Click here to do so - it's wonderfilled!!)

Here's my card...

Happy Birthday Axel!!

I made a card this morning for my Great-Nephew who is turning 4.  I combined two Challenges - Sketch Saturday (a Sketch) and Lili's Little Fairies (Pastels).  I love the LotV stamp of the boy playing guitar.  It may seem a bit old for a 4 year old, but Axel is so into music and actually teaching himself piano...  I am on the lookout for a piano image...  For now, the guitar will do just fine!!

The papers are MME and the image is colored with Copics, fussy cut and mounted with Pop Dots.

OOPS!!

Sassy Cheryl's has a fun Challenge going on - Belated Birthday!!  Not to say it's fun to miss a birthday, but it is fun to choose an image that expresses just how sorry you are that you are late - the Sassy Sally image says just that to me:  OOPS!!  I used the Sketch from Sketch Saturday along with papers from LotV Nit Wit Collection.  The image is colored with Copics, cut out and mounted with Pop Dots.  I also added three little purple roses from Recollections.

You Make Me Smile

Tonight I made a card using ALL Close to My Heart materials!!  I haven't done that in awhile and I must say I love the way it came out =)  The DP is from the new Paper Pack Clementine.  I love the color combination in that paper.I distressed the Saddle CS by misting it with water, crumpling it up and then smoothing it out to dry.  Once dry, I used Saddle ink with a dauber and rubbed over the whole area - kind of gives the CS a "leathery" look.  I love the Burlap ribbon which is also new.  The brads are from my old CtMH stash.  I did color the image with Copics and then fussy cut it out with my CtMH Utility Knife - I LOVE this knife!!  Once cut out I mounted it with Pop Dots.

How cute is this image?  He is Sassy Cheryl's Noah - Love him =)  I used the Sketch from Sketch Saturday.  I am also entering this card in the Heart 2 Heart Challenge and the Tuesday Throwdown Challenge - Fall Leaves and

Life is Good!

We had a Birthday Party tonight for my daughter's boyfriend Chad.  I chose to use a retired stamp set from Close to My Heart - Life is Good.  Of course Happy Birthday is the sentiment inside...  but Life is Good about sums up all that has been going on in Chad, and my daughter's lives right now.  They have successfully opened a Gymnastics Academy a little over a month ago and have in excess of 300 kids signed up - LIFE IS GOOD!!

Everything on my card is Close to My Heart except for the twine which is from The Twinery.  I used the Sketch from Sketch Saturday.  I am also entering this card in the Challenge over at Digital Tuesday Challenge Blog.

Thanks so much for stopping by - I really do appreciate it!!

Blessings - Sally

Quick post this morning - then to work...  I wanted to make this card fo the Papertake Challenge - Celebrating 5 years.  My card celebrates Christmas...  I loved the Sketch over at Sketch Saturday this week and used that to get started.  Being a quilter, I loved the Sketch - so much fun to work with these new Christmas papers I just got from Lili of the Valley!  (I need to take a better picture though...)
I also used an image that I just got from LotV.  Love when those overseas packages come in the mail!!  I colored the image with Copics and added a ribbon bow from my stash.

I am entering this card in the Challenges at Papertake Weekly, Sketch Saturday and Lili's Little Fairies.

Congrats Papertake Weekly Challenge!!
