Feathered Friends

At half term I was able to sit and watch a Crafty Individuals show on Hochanda and as always, I was inspired by Jean to make some cards with the stamps on the show I already had, whilst waiting for the ones I ordered to arrive! Here is the result...
The first card has a Distress oxide background stamped with another Crafty Individuals stamp. The background behind the bird stamp was made with spectrum noir sparkle pens. One of the sparkly sequins is hiding a little smudge very effectively!
The second card's background was made using clingfilm, which was sprayed with ink sprays before placing a piece of silk art card into it. the cling film was wrapped around the edge and then the card was turned over to ensure coverage and a good arangement of creases. It was then left to dry. Again the bird was stamped with versafine clair over a spectrum noir sparkle background.  As this week's challenge at Allsorts is 'Feathered Friends', it would be rude not to enter, lol, so I'm taking these along to play. I was delighted to find I had been picked for the top 5 for my rainbow tree entry last week. Many Thanks to the DT!
I have since received the stamps I ordered from Crafty Individuals, so will share the cards I have made with them soon. Thanks for looking and for all your lovely comments.

September at Stamping Sensations

Good morning, It's time for a new challenge at Stamping Sensations and this month we have some photo inspiration for you with some pretty colours that can range from bright to pastel, it's very much down to you which ones you choose to work with, or you may want to go floral inspired by the lovely Iris.

I used both for my inspiration and came up with this...
I coloured the iris stamp (Hobby Art) with distress markers in peacock feathers and picked raspberry and then used a water brush to spread the colour, adding a little glitter glue. I  created an inky panel for the base card using dylusion sprays, distress oxide ink in broken china, a stencil, a crafty individuals background stamp and another Hobby Art stamp. It sort of evolved as I went along, and I was reasonably pleased with how it worked out!
Please can I remind you we are a stamping challenge so must see a stamped image, sentiment or quote as the focal element of your artwork. You can enter up to three creations but please note: If we do not comment on your entry it will be because it does not follow the theme, qualify under our rules, or because we are asked to sign in or provide additional data to comment on third party hosts particularly Instagram, Facebook, Flickr, Splitcoast. We do not want to be rude but we do want to be fair to those who do follow the rules.
We have a lovely prize of Hero Arts goodies this month and a second prize of ribbons too.

Do pop over to the challenge blog and take a look at all the gorgeous creations from my multi talented teamies, and I look forward to visiting your great entries!
Thanks for looking!

A mid month reminder at Stamping Sensations!

It is time for a mid month reminder at Stamping Sensations and time to reveal the mystery prize! I will keep you waiting a bit longer though, as I want to tell you about my card!  I have had a bit of a play with my H2Os and some washes/sprays I bought so many years ago I can't remember who made them! The stamp is from Sheena Douglass, embossed and painted with H2Os. You can see a bit of the sheen from this angle
I finished it off with a piece of lace and a biow made from Sari ribbon. I am quite pleased with the results - must play with my H2Os again soon!
Okay, now I will show you the prize!
Loads of goodies! Do pop over to the challenge blog to take a look at all the fab creations my lovely DT buddies have made, and don't forget to enter your creations in the anything goes challenge.
Thanks for looking!
