It is time to showcase another Digi from Dora. Our DT theme this month is farms and horses. I used this lovely horse image, printed on to kraft paper and coloured with my arteza professional colouring pencils. A bit of Mulberry paper and some old designer paper from my stash, with a spellbinders die cut to finish it off.
You can find Dora's digis on her blog here.
I'm entering this in the current challenge at Allsorts where the theme is creatures from the animal kingdom

A baby card
Before we broke up for the summer holiday, I needed to make a New baby card for a colleague. I had used the ten fingers and toes for her maternity leave card, so this time I put some Inky Doodles stamps to use.
The background was stamped with Little Patchwork and the sentiment was stamped with Stitched Alphabet (Upper and Lower case) I used memento inks for the stamping and then dusted around the edges with tea dye Distress ink. The Spellbinders timeless rectangle die cut was a snippet of paper that has been in my stash for about ten years I think!

A baby card or three
I needed a baby card for a colleague a little while ago, and I happened across these stamps as I was wondering what to do. They are Visible image stamps that I treated myself to a couple of years ago and I hadn't got round to inking them up. Now I don't normally do pink, but the recipient does, so I used Spun Sugar Distress in and memento rosebud for the sentiment. The Die is timeless rectangles. I dusted middle of the die and the hands panel with Spun sugar and added faux stitching round the base card with a distress marker.
I then went on to make a blue and a yellow version...
I will leave you with a few photos from the garden today...
A Californian poppy,
A blackbird,
A cream spot ladybird,
A male house sparrow
and a wood mouse at the 'all you can eat bird food buffet' (sorry he is a bit out of focus)!
Thanks for looking!
I then went on to make a blue and a yellow version...
using Tumbled Glass and Salty ocean Distress ink...
using Memento dandelion and peanut brittle inks. In real life this one looks much more subtle! I was so busy I forgot to take photos of these until after dark today.I will leave you with a few photos from the garden today...

Dies and Punches at Stamping Sensations
Good Morning! It is the first Sunday of the month and time for a new challenge at Stamping Sensations. This month we want you to get out your dies and / or punches and have some fun! Don't forget to include some stamping too.
For my card I used an asymetrical border die from Marianne designs, 'Wonderful Locket' spellbinder Die-D-Lites die, the Britannia rose leaf die and an E K Success flower punch. I stamped the base card with my worn paint background stamp from Inkylicious, in faded lilac distress ink. the sentiment is also from Inkylicious. The flourish stamp is from Waltzing Mouse. The background paper has been in my stash for so long I have no idea where it came from! I added some stardust stickles along the edge where the die leaves an embossed pattern.
I also added gold liquid pearl centres to the flowers. Here is a close up.
Most of the card used for this project was bought at PDA Card and Craft who are our wonderful sponsors this month. The winner will get
How cool is that?!

Three commisions
I have been asked to make some unusual cards recently, and thought I would share them with you. My first card was for the wedding anniversary of one of my colleagues,
for her to give to her hubby. The request was for a scene like
Wells-next-the-sea, strawberries, champagne and a caravan! The caravan
was a clip art image on the insert, and the scene was a Sheena stamp, along with a seascape created with my ink dusters. I was quite pleased as I created the scene from memory and then did a Google image search for Wells. Not a bad likeness! The champagne bucket is from Digistamp Boutique and the strawberry was a freebie from here.
Next I was asked for a wedding card with skeletons on it! The invitation was black with a pair of skeletons on the front which said 'Till death do us part', and my friend wanted a card following the theme, so this is what I came up with. Not something you get asked for every day!
Finally a very plain more mainstream wedding card for a male colleague. The sentiment is one from the Inkylicious set call 'Simply Said'. This set is just so useful, I haven't put it away since I got it! I must make an effort to use some different embossing folders - I do have more than one, honest!
I am busy making samples for the next Inkylicious show. The stamps are absolutely gorgeous, and I can tell you it will definitely be worth tuning in to Create and Craft on Sunday 26th May to watch Deby demonstrating with the new stamps. I am still pinching myself that I am so lucky getting them before they are released!
Thanks for all your lovely comments. I hope I will manage to visit you all very soon. Thanks for looking!

More Great Outdoors for Stamping Sensations
As it was my turn to choose the theme for this month at Stamping Sensations, I also get to show you another card in the mid month post. I used some of the paper I made using my Gelli plate and the Crafty Individuals large Elegant Swirl. You can see my original and messy post here!
I then cut an arch using my Go Kreate dies, and leaving the die in place stamped with various grass stamps from Inkylicious and ink-dusted a few hills and sky in the background. I finished off with ribbon, bows and Prima flowers, along with some faux stitching using a walnut stain distress marker. The sentiment (Inkylicious) is stamped onto a spellbinders fancy tag die cut.
Pop on over to the Challenge blog where you will be able to see my answers to the questions our DT are discussing at the moment. I hope you find time to enter the challenge this month, as there is a gorgeous prize on offer from Crafty Individuals. Jean and Malcolm are such lovely people and over the years they have been a real inspiration to me. I can't tell you how excited I was when they agreed to sponsor us!
Thanks for looking, and I hope you have a great week!

My Gelli plate has arrived!
About a week ago, my good friend Lynne told me I needed a Gelli plate. I had heard mention of them but I wasn't sure what they were, so I took a look at the website, and within half an hour I'd ordered one (from here in the UK). To cut a long story short it arrived on Friday and I have spent several hours playing today! Lets see what you think - you can click on the picture and zoom in for a closer look.
using Crafty individuals elegant swirl
Okay, so I went a bit over the top, and this is only 7 of the twenty two pages I did (most I double sided too!). These are the better ones - the first few were a bit dull, but I'm having so much fun!!! If you want to find out about the gelli plate check out their website.
I have made a couple of cards with one of the pages already. I used some pearlised paint so there was a bit of reflection from the lights this evening.
All paints are cheap ones (Wilkos own brand and pearlised from docrafts). I used a stamp from Stamp to your Arts Content, which was stamped onto the gelli plate and then stamped in Adirondack stream over the paper once it was dry. All dies are spellbinders Decorative labels 1. Thanks for looking and taking the time to leave a comment.

Another Snowy Cottage for Craft a Scene
Here is my second offering for Craft a Scene this month where the theme is snowy cottages. For this one I used a snowy cottage stamp from Sheena Douglass, and added an extra tree and a few bits of foliage from Inkylicious. I stamped it in Memento London Fog and coloured with promarkers, but the sheep were blending into the background. I wasn't sure what to do about it, but eventually got my fine liner and went over them in black. I think it turned out okay. I added a couple of die cut flourishes at the corners (a Christmas present) and some turquoise flat backed pearls. Thanks for looking and I hope you will have a go at our Craft a Scene challenge this month.

A bit minimalist
Happy Sunday! Hope you are keeping warm. We woke up to a layer of snow this morning - very pretty, but not a great deal and now we have reached mid afternoon it is looking quite patchy. The light has been beautiful all day, though, casting a tinge of very pale apricot across the garden. I thought I would share a card that I made just before going back to work. I used some of my favourite colours - Peach Bellini, Mountain Rose, purple twilight and Eggplant. The stamps in the foreground are Stampscapes and I coloured them with distress markers and white gel pen. The hills were just masks and ink. The flourish on the corner was a new die I had for Christmas. I tried the card with 2 , but it covered up the detail in the foreground, so I just stuck a scrap triangle of black under the image. The black pieces were both scraps so I am entering this into Di's Crafty Snippets challenge. I know they are a tiny part of my scrap mountain but every little helps! It will be good to be in the playground again. I have been away too long! This scene is a bit minimalist for me, and I am really tempted to put some birds in the sky or some dangling branches, but in the end I've gone with it as it is.
Well, I'd better go and see what I can find for my followers candy before I get tea ready. Thanks for looking!

How long?!
I can't believe how long it is since I posted last! Truth is I think Mr Mojo is having a little holiday. I have made a few bits and bobs, but I'm not particularly happy with them. I even resorted to reworking a couple of cards I'd already made for an order. Anyway, here are two that didn't end up in the bin!
This first one uses papers from my Artylicious Essence of Nature cd and an Aspects of design stamp. The sentiment is computer generated.
This second one feels like a bit of a cheat really because the paper was a freebie from Glenda Waterworth and the only stamp was the sentiment from Paula Pascual. The spellbinders border and ornate circle are from the Parisienne accents set.
Thanks for looking and I hope I will come up with something half decent soon. If you happen to see my mojo please send it back here!
