A hot dandedaisy

Hi There! Has it been warm enough for you?! I have to admit I have wilted a bit over the weekend. With the end of the month a few days away, I thought I would show you how I made this card with it's hot colours (Just like the Bee Crafty Facebook Group challenge theme!).

I began by blending Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry, and Mustard Seed distress ink over some smooth white card.
Next, I stamped the 'rainbows' and the circles from Journaling Essentials #1 in Versafine Clair Black ink.
I added some more Picked Raspberry ink through the dinkable over the background and set aside.
On a scrap of mixed media paper I stamped the largest Dandedaisy in black ink and cut it out.
I smooshed the flower with the purple and pink ink, then added a few spots of Mustard Seed to the centre using a paint brush
I matted and layered the background onto a 6x6 card blank, adding the flower using foam pads and a wordy sticker for a sentiment
Here is the finished card again.
I used:
Distress inks in Picked Raspberry, Mustard seed and Wilted Violet
6x6 blank card
Black paper for matting and layering
Smooth white card stock

The blending brushes I used for this are new ones. I have to say I am very impressed with them so far. Thanks for looking!

More Bees!

Hi There! For today's blog post I thought I would show you how I made this clean and simple single layer card using the new Bee Mine stamp set.

I began by using stencil tape to mask off the top and bottom of a 13cm square ivory card. I blended mermaid lagoon ink at the top of the unmasked strip, and twisted citron at the bottom.
I used one of the stamps from the sketchy flowers set and stamped it in Versafine clair Verdant across the panel
I used colouring pencils tocolour in the flowers and leaves.
Next I removed the masking tape and stamped two of the smallest bees in versafine clair nocturne. I coloured with gelly roll moonlight pens and a pale blue colouring pencil.
Finally I added a sticker sentiment and a dotted line under each bee with a black micron pen.
I used
13cm square ivory card
Colouring pencils

On Wednesday evening I did a live over on the Bee Crafty Facebook page, making another simple card and a journal page using the doodle art bee stamp set.
You can find the live here
Don't forget the challenge on the Bee Crafty Stamps facebook group is to use warm/ hot colours. We would love you to enter!
Thanks for looking!

Hot colours tag

Hi there! Thought I would use hot colours for my blog post today...well, my uncharted mariner arrived so a teeny bit of that crept in too 😁

I began by spraying a tag with Squeezed Lemonade and Wild Honey Distress Oxide sprays.
When this was dry I placed the Fernando Big one over the top and sprayed Festive Berries Distress Oxide spray over it.
I used the little brickwork D'inkable to add a little Uncharted Mariner, adding a bit more around the edge of the tag with a sponge.
I stamped a few Doodle Art mandalas onto the background in Picked Raspberry Distress oxide.
on a piece of watercolour paper I stamped Bev with Versafine Clair black ink.
I used ecolines to colour her then cut her out.
I stuck her to the background using ultra thick gel medium and added a sentiment from the Bigger back chat set two stickers.
Here is the finished tag with a ribbon added.
I used:
Distress oxide inks in picked Raspberry and Unchartered Mariner
