My Favourites

Hi There! Our new challenge over in the Bee Crafty Stamps facebook group is to show us your favourites, so I thought I would use my favourite colours, favourite stamps and favourite inkables to create a journal page. Here's how I did it.

I began by painting waves of my favourite colours of acrylic paint across both pages.
Next I added some white gesso with a stencil brush through the Bakewell big one inkable.
Using Tag inkables set #1 I added some black gesso with a stencil brush.
I decided it needed lifting a bit so added a little gilding wax to the black gesso.
Next I stamped one of the doodle art mandalas using versamark ink and embossed in gold embossing powder.

On a separate piece of card I stamped the sunflower in Black versafine Clair ink, Cut it out and coloured with ecoline markers.
I also cut out words and circles from the latest releases of transparencies and attached to the page with matte medium. Finally, I added a simple border using Gelly Roll pens and some white splatters.
Here is the finished page again.
I used:
Dylusions mini Journal
Acrylic paint - I used a mixture of Dina Wakley and Dylusions
White gesso
versamark ink
Gilding wax
Ecoline pens
Transparencies - I used Beautiful and Brave words and Journal Circles 1

I hope this has given you some inspiration to enter the challenge!

Favourite colours and stamps

Hi There! What do you do when your mojo is on holiday? I get out my favourite colours and favourite stamps and just have a play. This card was the result of just such a play.

I began by painting a piece of watercolour paper with laidback lilac, blue lagoon and fresh lime dylusions paint using a wet brush and blending the edges together
Once this was dry, I painted white gesso through the Circles Big one inkable using a stencil brush. This too was left to dry.
I used the Mandala stamps to add to the background, stamping in Versafine Clair Summer Breeze and embossing with clear embossing powder.
I matted and layered this onto a White A5 card.
On a piece of mixed media card I stamped the sunflower, using versafine Clair, and coloured it with Ecoline markers before cutting out.
I attached this to the background using ultra thick gel medium.
on a scrap of card I stamped the sentiment from mixed messages 1 and sponged a little ink around the edge, shaping the ends of the strip.
Here is the finished card again.
I used:
Dylusions paint in Laidback Lilac, Blue Lagoon and Fresh Lime
White gesso
Versafine Clair in Summer Breeze, Nocturne and Monarch
Ecoline markers
Ultra Thick gel medium

I really enjoyed making this card and it certainly helped to find my mojo again.

Favourite Stamps at Stamping Sensations

Good Morning and Happy New Year! As it is the first Sunday of the month, it is time for our January challenge at Stamping Sensations. This month we have a lovely theme....
****Use your Favourite Stamps****
For my card this month I used stamps and stencils from Inkylicious and a little white gel pen and liquid pearls. My favourite stamps are the inkylicious moon and tree, but I do reach for the splatter stamp and the willow  twigs on a regular basis too!
The background was created using ink dusters, sponges and inks.  I used memento lulu lavender to stamp the moon and to blend the paler to darker inks. Adirondack mountain rose and peach bellini made the moon shine section of sky. Dusty concord, chipped sapphire and black soot Distress inks formed the darker sky and the hills, using a mountain valley stencil.

Please can I remind you we are a stamping challenge so must see a stamped image which reflects the theme as the focal element of your artwork , this means:
Stamping must be the central point of attention and interest
Our prize this month is from  our lovely sponsors, Tattered Lace.  Do pop over to the challenge blog and take a look at the fabulous creations from my talented team mates and more details of that prize! Thanks for looking!

June at Stamping Sensations

Good Morning! It is the first Sunday of the Month and time for a new Challenge over at Stamping Sensations! This month's theme is.....

***Use your favourite stamp***
As the title suggests we want to see your projects featuring your favourite stamp. The choice is up to you but we do need to see something stamped.  And please note: if we do not comment on your entry it will be because it does not follow the theme, qualify under our rules, or because we are asked to sign in or provide additional data to comment. We do not want to be rude but we do want to be fair to those who do follow the rules.
As our sponsors this month are Visible Image, I am using my favourite Visible Image stamps leave your fears  and where your dreams take you as well as my favourite Moon from Inkylicious.  The background was created with Memento inks and ink dusters along with the stencil set that comes with the moonscape stamp. The Visible image stamps were stamped in versafine black ink and a little highlighting was added to the crow in white pencil crayon.

The prize this month is a generous £35 voucher for the Visible Image online store! Another challenge I wish I could enter myself!
Do pop over to the challenge blog and take a look at all the gorgeous creations from my multi talented teamies, and I look forward to visiting your great entries!

My favourite five stamps (or confessions of a treeoholic!)

Good morning! It is my turn this month to provide some mid month inspiration for Stamping Sensations.
Our challenge is to choose our 5 favourite stamps and make something including some or all of them. It was so hard to choose only five, and already I am thinking of ones I missed out! I had about 8 trees and lots of leaves on my shortlist!
Here is my card...
I used my ink dusters to create the background with memento inks in dandelion, Rose bud, Danube blue Tuxedo black and Elderberry on plain smooth white card. I used a mountain and valley stencil too, along with a white gell roll pen and a stardust gelly roll pen.
Here are my stamps - I think this is the order I would choose!
Black Forest  Northern Pine Delicate VinesOld Beech Tree Picture Perfect
All of my favourite stamps are from Inkylicious
I realise there are some sets here, but if I have to choose just one from each set, it would be the biggest Northern Pine, the buzzard from the old beech tree set and the grasses from the picture perfect set!
Thanks for all your lovely comments lately. There are still a couple of weeks to enter our Things with Wings challenge at Stamping Sensations. Thanks for looking!
