A little rain tag and a sneaky peek

I'm here with a super quick tag and a sneaky peek today for my step by step

I began by adding some spots of dylusions shimmer paints to the top of a #10 tag and spraying it with water whilst tilted to make it dribble down.

I used the number dinkable to add some detail using black soot distress oxide ink. I also sponged a little around the edge of the tag too.

I stamped the smaller dandedaisy on to mixed media card with versafine clair ink and used ecoline brush pens to colour it in.

I attached the flower to the bottom of the tag and then added the sentiment from the walk your own way sheet using matte medium.
Here is the finished tag with an orange ribbon added

I used:
Dylusions shimmer paints in Crushed Grape, London Blue, Fresh Lime and Pure Sunshine
Dinkable from set 5
Distress oxide ink in Black soot

Finally, make sure you tune in to Bev's Try it out Tuesday on the Bee Crafty Facebook page tonight at 8pm because there might just be some newy newness making an appearance! Here is a sneaky peek!

Also, don't forget to check out the new challenge for August in the Bee Crafty Stamps Facebook group.

Wild and Free Bee Tag

Hi There! Thought I would show you how I made this mdf tag for Bee Monarchy day.
I began by painting the MDF tag using acrylic paints. Some of these were shimmer/metallic and some were not. I painted them onto the tag blending the edges.

Next I used black gesso through the full honeycomb inkable and added a little more around the edges.
Once this was dry I added some stamping using the crowns and honeycomb stamps from the bee Monarchy set using a brown versafine Clair ink.
on a scrap piece of card I stamped the bee 3 times with versafine clair black ink. I coloured them with ecoline pens and cut them out using the die set
I stamped a sentiment from the small words set and added that and the bees to the tag using ultra thick gel medium.
Here is the finished tag with a little yellow ribbon though.
I used:
Dylusions paint in lemon Zest and Tangerine dream
Dylusions shimmer paint in Pure sunshine
Versafine Clair in black and brown

A first page in my black journal

Hi There! I thought it was time I did a couple of pages in my Dylusions black journal. I hadn't started it yet, despite having it for several months!

I began by brayering 5 colours of Dylusions shimmer paint down my pages.
I added distress texture paste at opposite corners through the fernando big ones inkable.
Next I stamped some of the smaller Doodle art Mandala stamps in versafine clair ink in the spaces.

I also stamped a range of the mandalas from both sets onto scraps of white card.

I coloured these using highlighter pens (These are Zebra Mildliners and have a fine tipped end that is good to colour with) and cut them out.

I also stamped and cut out the top half of the sentiment from ticker tape 1.

I stuck these onto the page using matte medium.

Here is the finished page at two different angles so you can see the shimmer. I was tempted to add more stamping in the background, but didn't want to cover up the shimmer paint.
I used:
Doodle art mandalas 1 and 2 (available as a bundle and seperately)
highlighter pens
Versafine Clair ink
White card scraps

There is a brand new challenge over in the Bee Crafty Stamps facebook group where you can win £20 worth of stamps. Hope you can come and join in the fun!

Sassy Journal spread

Hi There! Hope you have had a great time over the last few days and been able to celebrate Christmas with your loved ones. I am here to share a step by step for a rather cheeky journal spread I made recently in my Kraft Journal.

I began by painting white gesso on each page leaving a kraft border. I then painted over with the dylusions paint and dylusions shimmer paint in random patches.

Next I added some Dina Wakely metallic paint.
I used a dinkable and a texture disc to add some texture - some with texture paste and some with white gesso
Once this was dry I added stamping in Black versafine clair - First the ledger stamp...
Then some coffee rings and numbers from the coffee stains set. I set this aside to dry.
I stamped the Sassy Journaling Girl in black onto white paper and cut out
I stuck her to the page with Distress Collage Matte medium.
Next I selected a back chat sticker and added it to the opposite page.

Finally I added a few sequins, white splatters and highlights using moonlight gelly rolls, a posca pen and the Dina Wakely white gloss spray.

A pot for my blending brushes

Hi There! I have been meaning to make a pot for my blending brushes, so, as the theme on the Bee Crafty Facebook challenge is to make something for yourself, I decided to have a go.

Here is what I did:

I used a can from some pineapple slices that had a ring pull, so to make it safe, I squeezed the top edge with pliers to remove the sharp edge.

I measured the depth of the can and cut a piece of 180gsm Kraft card to fit with a small overlap (8.5cm x 29cm)

I used spots of shimmer paint to cover the card in vertical stripes, blending the colours together at the edges.
Once this was dry I wiped it with an anti static cloth, then stamped a selection of flowers in versamark, before heat embossing with fine detail white powder.

I then stamped a selection of the arrows, question marks and exclamation marks using black archival in the spaces.

I added a few highlights and a scribbled border using both gelly roll and posca white pens.
To attach the card to the can, I used double sided tape to attach it to the tin. I then used both tape and glue to secure the end of the band.

I used:
A can from some pineapple slices
1 A4 sheet of 180gsm kraft card
Versamark ink

Here are a couple of views of the pot from different sides, which really don't do justice to the shimmery paints!
I do hope you will have a go and share in the Bee Crafty facebook group. Don't forget to enter your projects on the September challenge album too!
Our lovely Bev and Sam are on the Craft Store with oodles of amazing bargains in a Bee Crafty Happy Hour at 1pm tomorrow! Don't miss it!

A new Journal!

Hi There! I have a new journal! I decided to buy one of the 6x6" Dina Wakely Kraft Journals and today I am showing you the first finished pages in it.

I began by painting blocks of shimmer paint and some Gesso onto the double page of the Kraft journal.
Next I added a couple of patches of texture paste through the Bakewell inkable
I stamped the dotty border, arrows and question marks using Versafine Clair black ink. I also snuck in a bit of white pen to add a few highlights
Next I added the Dina Wakely collage paper words using matte medium and set it aside to dry
I stamped Rainbow view onto a scrap of white card and cut it out
Finally I stuck the house to the page with matte medium adding a bit of shadow with a grey scribble stick. I may go back in and add a few more twiddly bits to finish it off.
Check out that shimmer!
