More samples from Crafty Individuals Animals galore show

Hi there! Thought I would share with you my other samples from the most recent Crafty Individuals Hochanda show now that the stamps have been added to the website.  First up is the wonderful giraffe (CI-564), stamped and layerd onto a background created with dylusions sprays, crazing collage medium and Bee Crafty stencils. The giraffes were embossed - one in gold and one in copper and coloured with arteza brush pens onto watercolour card. The sentiment was stamped using the Bee Crafty Typewriter Alpha set.
For the Flamingo card I used the trees from CI-561 and sentiment from CI-565 along with Mismesh, Fragmentation and  CI-116 along with the Flamingo (CI-563)
I think the giraffe is possibly my favourite. I stamped him in black versafine clair, masked him and then stencilled with distress inks and a that's crafty stencil. I stamped the French Script in grey ink down the side and added the Happy Birthday from CI-464 over the top. This was a quick card.
Next is the stag, watercoloured and placed over a backgorund of distress oxide inks in Antique linen and Speckled egg. The background stamp is CI-430 and the sentiment is on CI-438
Finally here is my altered tuna tin! I cut a circle of one of Malcolm's photo background papers to cover the bottom and added vintage style journaling paper to the mdf base and the outside of the tin. I stamped the toucan and cut it out, extending the branch until it was longer than the width of the tin. I attached the ends of the branch with strong glue to the inside of the tin then added a few leaves from a discontinued set

Do check out all the new product on the website that you can find here

Animals Galore!

Hi There! I thought it was high time I shared a few more of my DT makes for Crafty Individuals that were on Hochanda last week on the Animals galore programme. I don't know if you managed to catch them or not, but they were brilliant shows with multiple sell outs! The new stamps by Ellie Mulligan will be on the website very soon, so look out for a newsletter from Jean and Malcolm or an announement on their facebook page.

For my first card I stamped the zebra in black, masked it and stencilled the background with a Bee Crafty stencil and citrus twist distress ink. I moved the stencil then went over again more lightly with sqeezed lemonade, adding some sequins.
My second card was stamped in versafine clair ink onto a background created with spectrum noir glitter pens as a colour wash.
Here is another zebra card. This time I stamped the silhouette animals in brown ink onto a craft card and also stamped the zebra at the corner but in black ink. I then stamped and embossed the zebra onto white card using black ink and cut it out (this means no fussy cutting of the mane is required as it is on the card already and can be cut from the one being placed over the top.
Next up are Ellie and Nellie, those lovely elephants. I found some backgrounds I made with adirondack colour sprays from quite a long time ago and this one reminded me of African sunsets. I stamped the elephants in Black ink and added a few highlights using a white gel pen.
Finally, here is a notebook decorated with some mulberry paper and a piece of calico stamped with the elephants and coloured with inktense pencils. I will be back next week share my remaining samples. In the meantime, here is a link to the Crafty Individuals website so you can check out what has been added to the website recently in the 'New' section

Mid month inspiration for Stamping Sensations

It is mid-way through the month and time for  a reminder of our challenge at Stamping Sensations. This month our theme is

 ***Make it Masculine***

I seem to have a bit of a sheep theme going on this month as my mid month offering is this lovely sheep from Woodware. For anyone who is interested it also comes with both English and Welsh Happy Birthday sentiments. The base card was stencilled with a lovely leaf d'inkable from Bee Crafty.

Do go to the challenge blog to check out the  wonderful creations from my talented teamies and more info on this month's prize.

Rudolf Days for November

It is the last Rudolf day before Christlmas and I am here with quite a few cards. I have a good selection to add to my stock ready for the local craft fair where I have booked a table. Now I am no longer at work I have been having a ball making cards, candles and mdf items for my stall.
My first six cards all used Hobby Art stamps and zig pens on watercolour card.

For my last two cards I used a Uniko set that I won in their September/October challenge.
They are both stamped over a round gelli plate background made with brayering and stamping Distress inks in Tea Dye and Bundled Sage.
So the grand Christmas card total is currently at 60, and if they all sell, I'll be making another thirty plus family ones in the next couple of weeks, lol. Keep your fingers crossed for me! Do pop over to Maureen's blog for some Christmas Inspiration and thanks for looking!

African Animals

With all this cold weather around I decided to escape to Africa on my craft table and here are the results 😀
All stamps from Inkylicious except the birthday sentiment on the first card. I used Izinks on the first card and I am impressed! They seem really good. The zebra was heat embossed with black sparkle embossing powder, so it is more blingy than it looks on here!
Hope you are keeping warm and snow doesn't spoil your plans! Sorry it is short and sweet. Work is keeping me super busy at the moment
Thanks for looking and for all your lovely comments

March at Stamping Sensations

Good morning, It's time for a new challenge at Stamping Sensations and this month we are looking for
********Woodland Friends********
As the title suggest we would love to see your creations featuring any creatures that live in the woods. It could be mammals, birds, insects or invertebrates!
My first Card this month was made with Lavinia stamps. I created the background with inkylicious ink dusters and distress inks.
My second Card was one I made as a commission for Creative Stamping Magazine. More details can be found in Issue 51 (along with the stamps I used)

Please can we remind you we are a stamping challenge so must see a stamped image as the focal element of your artwork, not just a stamped sentiment or stamping in the background, this means:
Stamping must be the central point of attention and interest
Our sponsors this month are Tattered Lace and they have donated this lovely prize!

Do pop over to the challenge blog and take a look at the gorgeous designs from all my talented teamies! They really have made some outstanding cards this month!

Stamping Sensations Challenge for Febriuary

Good Morning! It is the first Sunday of the Month and time for a new Challenge over at Stamping Sensations! This month's theme is...........
***Animal Magic***
As the title suggests we want to see animals of all shapes and sizes this month, even mythical ones if you wish..........
I chose a Hobby Art Highland Cow stamp for my card this month, teamed up with some tartan paper from Craftwork Cards, sticking with the Scottish theme! I used my zig clean colour markers and added a die cut bit of heather and a bow.
Please can I remind you we are a stamping challenge so must see a stamped image, sentiment or quote as the focal element of your artwork. Conventional rubber/acrylic stamps and digital images are acceptable, but pre-coloured digital images and toppers are not. And please note: if we do not comment on your entry it will be because it does not follow the theme, qualify under our rules, or because we are asked to sign in or provide additional data to comment. We do not want to be rude but we do want to be fair to those who do follow the rules.
The prize this month is from Tattered Lace. Take a look!
Do pop over to the challenge blog and take a look at all the fantastic creations by my lovely teamies. There is some wonderful inspiration again this month! Hope you get the chance to join in and I'll look forward to seeing all your lovely creations!

Allsorts Challenge - Animals

Here is my entry for this weeks Allsorts challenge, where the theme is Animals, and they are being sponsored by Digistamp Boutique. I used a stamp that was free on a copy of the craft Stamper many moons ago. The strip of paper down the side was made using torn strips of tissue paper that bleeds it's colour when wet. Meg made it ages ago and was going to throw it away until I rescued it! I thought It made a good watery background to stamp onto. The main image is watercoloured to match. Thanks for looking!
