Baubles galore!

Hi there! I am here with a couple of Christmas cards featuring the brand new Doodle Art Baubles.

I began by blending some red and green distress oxide through a big one inkable. I took the foam layer off my stamp press and was able to use 4 magnets on the base to keep the inkable still enough to blend one handed.
Next I stamped the small holly leaves from the christmas pud set to stamp randomly over the background using old paper distress oxide.
On some smooth card I stamped two of the baubles using memento ink and coloured them with alcohol markers. Then I cut them out.
Using a ruler and a fine liner I added some threads to hang the baubles from. I did one straight line then went over twoce more in a doodle art style.
I added the background to a green 5x7 card then added the baubles using sticky pads.
On a scrap of white card I stamped and cut out the sentiment in Versafine Clair Strawberry.
Finally, I added this to the card with foam pads too.
Here's another version using a different inkable and coloured base card.

I used:
Inkables Big ones  - I used Pearls for the first and circles for circles for the second
Distress Oxide ink  - I used Lumberjack Plaid, Rustic Wilderness and Old Paper
Memento Black ink
Alcohol markers
I've even managed to add a little decoration to my cast 😊

Keeping it simple

Hi there!
I am trying to get as many Christmas cards made as possible over the next few days now postage dates have changed. Here's a step by step for a quick clean and simple card.

I began by taping the 6x6 octagon easy frame to the front of a 6x6 white card and blended tea dye and vintage photo distress ink into it.

Once this was dry I gave it a quick wipe with an anti static cloth then stamped the script stamp in versamark with the easy frame inkable still in place. I removed the inkable, sprinkled with embossing powder and heat set.
There was a small area bottom left where the embossing ink hadn't reached, so I stamped the Holly stamp from the robin set and coloured using ecolines and a damp paintbrush.
Next I stamped the Merry Christmas stamp (from the wreath set) in Versamark in the centre of the card. I sprinkled over rustic wilderness embossing glaze and heat set it. I also added glossy accents to the berries on the Holly.
Here's a close up. As you can see the gold is still visible through the embossing glaze.
I sponged a little vintage photo distress ink around the edges to finish it off.
I used:
Versamark ink
Before I go, I did a live on Wednesday over on the Bee Crafty Facebook page and made 3 baubles using the MDF baubles and a variety of stamps. I used red green and gold, which is the new theme for the challenge over in the Bee Crafty stamps group. Here are the baubles

Robin and Wreath samples

Hi There! I am here with the cards I made for the Bee Crafty Stamp launch that was on Facebook on Tuesday. We had a fantastic day with lives, offers and giveaways. This first card was made with the smaller stamps from both the Robins and the Wreath set
This was the card I made during my live which you can find here. I also used one of the Bauble Easy frames and the snowflake mask inkable
This one was embossed in gold, then masked before adding smooshed distress oxide ink.
This background was created by blending broken China distress ink through a mandala inkable and then stamped with snowflakes from the Winter journaling girls sets.
Another using the easy frame bauble inkables,
and a vintage looking wreath with the script background stamp in antique linen distress ink.
Finally, here's the card from my blog post last week again. I did a second facebook live on Wednesday, this time creating a journal page using Distress Oxide sprays and the Doodle Art Houses. You can find the live here
We will be doing some similar journaling to this at my workshop this Wednesday at PDA card and Craft, Langley Mill. There are still a couple of spaces if you fancy it and you are local! Thanks for looking!

November Rudolf Days

Hi There!

We got back from a little holiday in the Fens today so I wasn't sure I would manage to make the Rudolf days Challenge. We managed a lovely week away with Meg and her partner and were mostly lucky with the weather, although Storm Arwen brought enough wind, rain and sleet to make up for it!  Luckily I had made some cards before I went during a facebook live so here they are as my entry this month.

These first two were made with Bee Crafty Botanical sprigs stamps, with some additional snowflakes and sentiments from the yuletide XL Robin set.

The next three were made with the Bee Crafty snow border, flakes and words. I managed to make all 5 in an hour too. If you want to see how the video is here
Do pop over to Mo's blog and leave some love!

Rudolf Days for October

Here are the cards I made last month and forgot to post plus a few more I have made this month. Last month we had a really busy weekend karate wise with 8 of my students at a tournament on the Saturday and another 7 going to grading on the Sunday. They were all amazing and did me proud - 5 gold medals 4 silver and 2 bronze in the tournament, then all acing their gradings too! I was so proud I was euphoric for days, completely forgetting Rudolf Days!  I made chocolate cupcakes for the whole class.

Anyway, on to my cards.

I used stamps and stencils from Inkylicious for these three. All very similar with two on cream cards and one on a white card in shades of blue ink. I added a shadow to make it look 3d - Deby has done a wonderful tutorial on the Inkylicious you tube channel if you want to know how it is done.
The next one is also using inkylicious stamps and a stencil cut using a die at a crafty session at PDA. I might add a sentiment eventually.
The next two are also done with inkylicious stamps in more traditional colours, but still single layers.
Very simple but perfect for quick cards.
Do pop over to Mo's blog for more inspiration and to enter if you get the chance! Mo, if you get round to visiting , I am thinking of you and the family. I really hope your hubby makes a full and speedy recovery. Big hugs!

A few Christmas cards

I have been very bad with my Christmas cards so far this year, but I have managed to add 3 more to my collection this week. The First is all done with Inkylicious stencils and stamps. This is a style that Deby and Emma demonstrate often at shows.

The second  was stamped with Bee Crafty stamps and an Inkylicious sentiment

and the third was done with Bee Crafty Stamps and lots of different inks

The Bee Crafty stamps for the latter two are in the end of Line section and are a bargain at £5 a set if you fancy them 😉

They would have been my Rudolf day entry, but poor Mo and household are not well at the moment. hope she feels better soon!

A Digi for Dora and last minute Rudolf Days

Hi There! What am I like eh? nothing for a week then 3 posts in 3 days, and there will be more, lol!

My first offering here is one of Dora's digis. The DT have all used the same digi this month and they are all so different! You can find Dora's Digis here

Next up are two Christmas cards made with Bee Crafty stamps and inkables for this month's Rudolf Days Challenge. I am a bit late as the challenge finishes at the end of tomorrow, but I made it just in time! I used distress ink on the base card and some splatters of Pretty Gets Gritty explosion powders too.
Do check out Mo's blog for amazing inspiration to get your Christmas cards made every month!
Thanks for looking and I hope you like them all! I will be back before Friday with a sneaky peek of the new Crafty Individuals stamps that are on Hochanda (Soon to be The Craft Store) on Friday at 10 am and 2pm.

January Rudolf Days and a Digi from Dora

As January hurtles to a close it is time for the first Rudolf days of the year. My first card is a digi from Dora, coloured with zig clean color markers and paired up with some very old dovecraft papers.

My next card is a little snowy scene using speckled egg ink and a combination of Bee Crafty and inkylicious stamps.
Here is a third card using inkylicious stamps and plenty of stickles and liquid pearls.

Finally, and not for Rudolf days, here is this month's DT digi from Dora. Isn't it a stunning dragonfly? I coloured it with ecoline pens and fineliners and used some papers from an Artylicious CD (Now Chocolate Baroque)

Thanks for looking and do pop over to Mo's blog and take a look at the inspiration. it is never too early to start on christmas cards!

October Rudolf Days and an Autumn card for Dora

Hello! I really must try and get a bit more organised! I have quite a few draft blog posts but keep forgetting to do something with them! Anyway, I am here with a couple of cards for October Rudolf Days. Both of these use the new gorgeous Dawn Serenity stamp, designed by Sandma Cards for Crafty Individuals, along with the snowflake D'inkable from Bee Crafty. For the first I used shaded lilac distress ink and for the second I used tumbled glass, but unfortunately I hadn't cleaned my blending brush enough from using it to blend stormy sky! These are quick and easy Christmas cards to make, so I think there will be several more similar ones. Do pop over to Mo's Blog and see some more lovely Christmas card inspiration.
I am also sharing my DT card for Dora over at Dora-knutselhoekje
Don't you just love this wonderful mushroom image? I printed it onto some Mustard coloured pastels paper and coloured it with coloured pencils. The base card was stamped and stencilled with Bee Crafty stamps, inkables and distress oxide inks.
Thanks so much for looking. I do intend having a bit of time visiting some blog land friends during the next couple of days and organising my blog posts a little more!
