Four Paws Thank You Card

Hello crafty friends! I have been very busy this month taking care of our senior cat Mr. Tommy. Three weeks ago he had a lung lobectomy to remove a small tumor. The surgery went well, but my hubby decided we had to stay up with him for the first week. So, we took shifts sleeping and making sure he was okay. To say the least... I was very sleep deprived! Thankfully he is recovering nicely and is getting back to his normal routine.

This Four Paws Thank You Card was made for the surgeon and hospital staff to thank them. The inside reads "for a job well done!!!". It features the Talk To the Paw stamp set from Unity Stamps, the paws were colored with Copic markers and then fussy-cut. The sentiment was made with the computer and I accented it with a little heart. Some fun striped and polka dot paper was used and everything was adhered flat. That's it. So glad you stopped by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day!

Meowy Christmas Card

Good day and Merry Christmas! It's just the hubby and I at home today and since he was taking a nap, I decided to make this Meowy Christmas Card. Since I went back to work, it's been harder to find time to make cards. This year I didn't have enough handmade Christmas cards to send everyone on my list, so I sent everyone boxed cards. The few I made this year will hang out in my stash until next year.

This Meowy Christmas Card was made using the From The Cat stamp set by Graciellie Designs available at Unity Stamps. I colored the cat to look like Chester, we rescued him in October. He is such a handful!  So sweet when he is sleeping, but a crazy cat when he is awake. The patterned papers are from the Let It Snow paper pad by Doodlebug Designs (2021). Three layered snowflakes were added for detail and that's it. So glad you stopped by and I wish you a very Merry Christmas!🎅

Pumpkin Night Halloween Card

Happy Monday! Each day we get closer to Halloween and I still need to make a few cards. So, for this Pumpkin Night Halloween Card I used an image by Stampendous! and colored it with Copic markers. The papers are from an older Pebbles paper pad called Trick or Treat (2016). Some glossy accents were added to the eyes and the sentiment is from a retired Stampin' Up! set called Spooky Treats. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!🎃

Spooktacular Halloween Card

Hello! The month of Halloween has arrived and I enjoy making Halloween cards for family and friends. This Spooktacular Halloween Card was inspired by a couple of challenge. The photo at Inspiration Station has a girl trick-or-treating with a green pumpkin pail and there are bats on the house. The photo at Two Old Bats inspired me to use the spider web oval stamp by Newton's Nook. Most of the supplies used on this card are by Newton's Nook. The image is called Halloween Pile and it was colored with Copic markers. The Oval Frame Dies were used and the patterned paper is from the Halloween Meows paper pad. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping and that's it. So glad you stopped by and enjoy the rest of your day! 🎃

Boo Ghosts Halloween Card

Good day! My hubby is working today, so I'm playing in my craft room. I decided to make a Halloween card to play along with the Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge. It's just a simple card featuring a Boo Ghosts image by Pink & Main, from the Hello Bootiful stamp set. These ghosts just make me smile, they are definitely too cute to spook. Some striped and polka dot papers were selected and everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. To finish it off I added five sequins for some sparkle and that's it. So glad you stopped by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.👻

Later in the afternoon I decided to make another card with the same image. This time I used the scallops & Rectangles nesting dies by Unity Stamps. A bolder striped paper was used along with the same polka dot paper. Just a few changes, but I like how it turned out.👻

Cottage Rose Card

Good day! I appreciate you stopping by my blog. Today I'm sharing this Cottage Rose Card that I made for a family friend. I was inspired by a card I found online by Stamping With Kristi. All supplies on this card are by Stampin' Up!. Almost everything is current except for the sentiment from the retired Thoughtful Branches stamp set. Colors include: Petal Pink, Soft Suede, Granny Apple Green and a touch of Mango Melody in the center of the flower. The paper is from the Abigail Rose dsp and the flower stamp is from the Cottage Rose stamp set. The Cottage Flower dies were used and everything was adhered flat. That's it! I'm entering this card into the All Occasions challenge at Krafty Chicks. Thanks again for stopping by.

Birthday Card with Dogs

Hello! This afternoon I made this Birthday Card with Dogs to remember my sister's birthday. She would have turned 45 today, but she passed away ten years ago. Making cards has helped me process my grief for the loss of both my siblings and several furry family members. It's been a wonderful form of therapy for me.

This Birthday Card with Dogs uses a stamp set by Newton's Nook that was the 2019 Stamptember exclusive at Simon Says Stamp. The images were stamped with Memento black ink and colored with Copic markers to coordinate with the patterned paper from the Birthday Wishes paper pad by Echo Park (2015). That's it and thanks for stopping by!

Hippo Christmas Card

Good day! One of my friends asked me to make her some Christmas cards, so I'm trying to make a couple each week. I hope she likes this Hippo Christmas Card because I think it turned out pretty cute. The hippo image is by Stampendous and it was colored with Copic markers then fussy cut. It did take some time trying to find the right papers. The stripe paper is retired from the Warmth & Cheer paper pad by Stampin' Up and the snowflake paper is from the Winter Market paper collection by Carta Bella. A photo frame die was used to give the hippo a place to rest. Three die cut snowflakes added for detail and a Joy die cut from Simon Says Stamp. Everything was adhered flat and that's it. So glad you stopped by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.❄❄❄

Batty Boo Card

Happy World Cardmaking Day! My only make for the day is this Batty Boo Card. I was inspired by the photo inspiration at Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge. The BOO die cut is from Impression Obsession (DIE325-V) and the bat image is from the Gone Batty stamp set by Taylored Expressions. Two pieces of patterned paper were selected the black and white is from the Bootiful Nights paper pad by American Crafts (2016) and the stripe is from the Pumpkin Party paper pad by Doodlebug Design (2018). Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping and that's it. So glad you stopped by and enjoy the rest of your day! 🦇

Big Hugs Card

Good day crafty friends! My hubby went back to work a couple of weeks ago after having knee replacement surgery. I thought I would feel more creative once he went back to work, but I didn't. So, I binge watched the entire tv series of Covert Affairs. When I found the show on the Peacock streaming channel it said there was only 27 days to watch for free, so I took them up on this challenge and watched the entire series (5 seasons) in 27 days. I had never binge watched a show to this extent before, but at the end of each episode I wanted to watch the next one. Now, I'm done and I can get back to making cards.😊

This Big Hugs Card was made using products by Lawn Fawn. I love the sending big hugs die and was inspired by a card made by Audrey Tokach. The images were colored with Copic markers and everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. I'm entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge (Anything Goes) and the Cute Card Thursday Challenge (Anything Goes). Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Chameleon Card - TMS #607

Good day crafty friends! It's time to start another fun sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. This weeks sketch is designed by Melissa Craig and we hope you're inspired to play along. I had several ideas on how to use the sketch and finally settled on using the chameleons by Lawn Fawn. They fit nicely into the focal areas and I like the way they are looking at each other. There are lots of possibilities with this weeks sketch and I look forward to seeing all the different creative ideas shared. For all the challenge details and design team inspiration click HERE. Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to link you creation by 8 pm EST on Sunday. 😊

Congratulations Card

Good day! A teammate at Tuesday Morning Sketches used the mini slimline card sketch with flowers and I loved it. You can see her card HERE. So, I decided to break open the Everything is Rosy kit from Stampin' Up! (retired) and play with the sketch again. This Congratulations Card was made for my niece who won a title in our hometown beauty pageant. So, I wanted to make her something pretty. 🌸🌸🌸

Using the sketch made this card come together really quickly. The only stamping was the sentiment, so all I had to do was cut the paper and adhere the layers. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Tiny Miracles Card

Good day! I have a quick post to share my latest card. This Tiny Miracles Card features new butterfly goodies from Stampin' Up!. I love butterflies! The patterned paper is a new 6x6 dsp called Butterfly Bijou and it's pretty enough to be used alone if you wanted to just add a sentiment. I went through my scraps and found the stripe and the tiny miracles sentiment (Unity Stamps) that was already stamped on a piece of paper that kind of matches (it's definitely not perfect but I was crafting at night 😊). Then I stamped the butterfly from the new Butterfly Brilliance stamp set and colored it with Mango Melody Stampin' Blends. That's it! I'm entering this card at the Watercooler Wednesday All Things Feminine Challenge. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Big Hugs Card - TMS #588

Hello! These days I think we all need a big hug. So, for this weeks sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches I used the Big Hugs Circle Frame die by My Favorite Things. This weeks sketch was designed by Melissa Craig and it is Debbie's favorite pick from our 2020 sketches. You can see the original post #563 from July 14, 2020 HERE. This time around I decided to rotate the sketch. The paper selections are on the subtle side because I didn't want to detract from the frame die. The image is by Reverse Confetti from the Huggable stamp set and was colored with Copic markers. Three glimmer stickers were added to follow the sketch detail and that's it. I do hope you will join us this week. For all the challenge details and design team inspiration click HERE. Thanks for stopping by!

Beary Comforting Card

Well... it's finally time to say good riddance to 2020! Many are hoping for a better New Year and I pray that happens. It's been hard not being able to see my family, especially when my dad has had such an awful year. He's had numerous medical issues come up throughout the year. Several years ago he lost hearing in one ear. On Christmas morning he woke up and couldn't hear at all. This week he has been dizzy and having headaches. He went to a specialist and will have further tests, but he is frustrated and in pain. It's really hard when there isn't anything you can do to make things better. Hopefully I can make the trip to see him soon.

This Beary Comforting Card has already been mailed to my dad. The supplies and design are from the December Paper Pumpkin kit by Stampin' Up! called Beary Comforting. This kit will come in handy when I need quick cards for get well and thinking of you occasions. I want to thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

A Difference Card - TMS #565

Hello and welcome to the start of another new sketch for this weeks challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches. When I first glanced at the sketch I wondered how I was going to accomplish the focal area shape. Then one afternoon after feeding a small can of cat food to the kitties, I realized the can was the perfect size for the top of the shape. So, I used an unopened can to trace onto the back of the patterned paper and fussy cut the top part. Using a bold stripe helped to hide any imperfection and makes a nice background for the sentiment. This A Difference Card was made for my hubby's physical therapist. He had a total knee replacement and has been going to therapy since January. His last appointment is this Friday and he asked me to make a card.

We would love for you to join us this week and I'm looking forward to your take on the focal area. For all the challenge details and design team inspiration click HERE. Don't forget to link your creation by 8 pm EST on Sunday. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

This card is entered into the challenge at 613 Avenue Create, Anything Goes w/ optional Sentiment as Focus.

Firecracker Card - TMS #561

Welcome back to the start of another new sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. This weeks sketch was designed by me and I would love for you to play along. Feel free to swap out the stars for any shape that works with your design. I was thinking about Independence Day when I designed the sketch but stars are fun for birthdays too. The design team did a fantastic job with their inspiration! Click HERE for all the challenge details and don't forget to link your creation by 8 pm EST on Sunday. I hope to see your card in the linky gallery!

Do you send cards for Independence Day? I don't send many, maybe two or three to my family. To make this card I used a digital image I found on Etsy by Drawn by Krista. The image was colored with Copic markers and the sentiment was made using the computer. Five punched blue glitter stars on top of red striped paper and that's it. An easy simple card! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day!

Congrats to You Card - TMS #558

Good day crafty friends! We are starting another new sketch today at Tuesday Morning Sketches and I want to invite you to play along. The sketch was designed by Melissa Craig and I'm looking forward to your take on the flourish detail. I pulled out one of the first stamps sets I bought when I started making cards. It's called Dot Flourishes by Inkadinkado. Then I decided a neutral Congrats card would be a good addition to my stash. The sentiment is retired by Stampin' Up! and it was die cut with cross stitch dies by My Favorite Things. To add some sparkle I added a few sequins and that's it. For all the challenge details and design team inspiration click HERE. Don't forget to link your creation by 8 pm EST on Sunday. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Snarky Cat Card

Hello! A few weeks ago one of my crafty friends, Lisa Lynn, posted a card using the Snarky Cat stamp set and until then I hadn't seen this stamp set by Tim Holtz. Since I have a sarcastic sense of humor and love cats this was the perfect stamp set to add to my collection.

To make this Snarky Cat Card I decided to use a layout by Freshly Made Sketches. The cat was colored with Copic markers and then fussy cut. I decided to make it a masculine card to play along at Simon Says Stamp and C.R.A.F.T.. All the papers have been in my stash for a long time, the stripes are by My Mind's Eye from the Adventure paper pad and the polka dots are by Bo Bunny. I'm also linking this card to the anything goes challenge at Cute Card Thursday. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Changito Coffee Card

Hooray for Friday! Today is the last day of the 2020 Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop, so I made one more card to play along. I bought the Changito Coffee stamp by Stampendous! on clearance sometime in the last couple of years and stuck it in a drawer. While digging for stamps I found it yesterday and decided to ink it up. The image was colored with Copic markers and the pajamas were paper pieced using a small polka dot paper. I didn't have the perfect sentiment, so I created one on the computer. The inside reads: "That's why it's best to have a cup in both hands!" It seems like a good idea to me.☕☕ That's it! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend. 😊
