Masculine 40th Birthday Card

Hello! Today I'm sharing a card I made to help me through a difficult day. This past Saturday would have been my brother's 40th birthday, but he passed away over 3 years ago. Our birthdays were really close together and growing up we usually had a combined birthday party, so my birthday isn't the same without him. I felt like I needed to do something to recognize his special day, so I made this card.

Almost all the supplies used on this Masculine 40th Birthday Card are from Stampin' Up!. However, most of them are also very retired. The stamp set is called Number of Years and the patterned paper is from the Cupcakes & Carousels paper stack. The Stitched with Whimsy Die is current and used around the edge of the paper. A few silver glitter punched stars for sparkle and everything was adhered flat. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.✨

Christmas Thank You Card

Hello and Happy New Year! We have turned the chapter to the beginning of 2023, the pages are unwritten and waiting to be filled. I hope this year writes something wonderful!

I like to start the new year by making a Christmas Thank You Card. This year a dear friend surprised me with flowers, cupcakes and deli treats right before Christmas. So, I made this card for her. The tree was made using a very retired stamp by Stampin' Up!, it's from the Scentsational Season stamp set. The colors include: Shaded Spruce, Poppy Parade and Merry Merlot. A little star sequin was added to the top of the tree and the nesting circle die cuts are from Unity Stamps. The Thank You sentiment is from the Abstract Impressions stamp set by Stampin' Up! and everything was adhered flat. That's it! So glad you stopped by and enjoy the rest of your day.🎄

Cottage Rose Card

Good day! I appreciate you stopping by my blog. Today I'm sharing this Cottage Rose Card that I made for a family friend. I was inspired by a card I found online by Stamping With Kristi. All supplies on this card are by Stampin' Up!. Almost everything is current except for the sentiment from the retired Thoughtful Branches stamp set. Colors include: Petal Pink, Soft Suede, Granny Apple Green and a touch of Mango Melody in the center of the flower. The paper is from the Abigail Rose dsp and the flower stamp is from the Cottage Rose stamp set. The Cottage Flower dies were used and everything was adhered flat. That's it! I'm entering this card into the All Occasions challenge at Krafty Chicks. Thanks again for stopping by.

Wildflower Congratulations Card

Good day! Most of the cards I make are made with a person or specific occasion in mind. This Wildflower Congratulations Card was made for my neighbors. They won the yard of the month that our neighborhood sponsors through the summer months. Our neighbor loves to work in his yard, even when it's crazy hot outside. So, I wanted to recognize his efforts with a handmade card.

The stamp set used on this card is called Wildflower Path by Stampin' Up!. This was the first time I've used it and I'm pretty happy with how the stamping turned out. The colors used include: Granny Apple Green, Mango Melody, Grapefruit Grove, Garden Green and Orchid Oasis. Some Tumbled Glass distress ink was added to the background for some color. The sentiment is from a retired stamp set called Home Life (Stampin' Up!) and the layers were cut with a Scalloped & Rectangles nesting dies by Unity Stamps. Everything was adhered flat and that's it. So glad you stopped by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Heartfelt Thank You Card

A happy hello! Today I'm sharing a card that is fussier than my usual creations. This Heartfelt Thank You Card features the Nature's Prints stamp set and coordinating dies by Stampin' Up!. The colors include: Night of Navy, Gray Granite, Starry Sky and Pear Pizzazz. There is a base layer of Night of Navy cardstock, then a piece of patterned paper from the Sun prints dsp. The patterned paper was ran through the Big Shot with a Stitched with Whimsy die. Then a piece of In Color dsp in Starry Sky was added. All the images were stamped and die cut, then layered. A piece of Pear Pizzazz cardstock was embossed using the Fern 3D embossing folder, then adhered to the base of the die cuts. The sentiment was added and then I decided to add the flower and die cut to the side of the sentiment. I'm entering this card into the Stamp Act challenge at Krafty Chicks. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

Dragonfly Thank You Card

Good day! It's a nice sunny day here in Oklahoma. As I sit by my front window I can watch the dragonflies land on my bushes and wait for their prey. I have several different types of dragonflies, some large and some smaller. So, I decided to get out the Dragonfly Garden stamp set and make a Thank You Card. This stamp set has been in my stash at least two years and hasn't seen the stamping action it deserves. Everything used on this card is by Stampin' Up!. The patterned paper is from the retired Dandy Garden dsp and the splatter stamp is from the retired Timeless Textures stamp set. Current supplies include the Dragonfly Garden stamp set and ink colors in Pool Party and markers in So Saffron and Mango Melody. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Butterfly Thank You Card

A happy hello to you! Over the last few days we have received some much needed rain and I'm very grateful. Our yard was starting to turn brown and my plants were definitely suffering. It's been a dreadfully hot July, so I'm happy to see this month end.

This Butterfly Thank You Card is simple and easy. The big butterfly makes a wonderful focal impact. It's from the retired Beautiful Day stamp set by Stampin' Up!. It was colored with Copic markers and then fussy-cut. The papers are also retired by Stampin' Up! from the Garden Impressions dsp. Lastly, the Thank You sentiment was stamped and everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. That's it and thanks for stopping by!🦋

Life Stinks Card

Well... life doesn't stink all the time, but we all have those days. The new card kit by Stampin' Up! called The Best Remedy Kit is perfect for last minute feel better/encouragement type cards. I don't buy a lot of kits because I like creating my own designs. But, it's nice to have a few on hand for unexpected occasions. For this Life Stinks Card I altered the layout given in the directions. The only thing stamped on this card is the sentiment. The image came colored, so all I really had to do is adhere everything together. Simple and quick. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Hope Card with Feathers

Hello and happy Sunday! It's super hot outside today, so I am staying inside and playing in my craft room. My focus is still on making cards for a card drive for women going through treatments. For this Hope Card with Feathers I used some older supplies that had never been used. Everything used is from different companies, but I was really happy with how well things coordinated. The sentiment stamp is from Stampendous!, the feathers are from the Four Feathers stamp set by Stampin' Up! and the patterned paper is from a Recollections paper pad. Everything was adhered flat and that's it. I'm entering this card into the following challenges: Crafts Galore Encore (anything goes) and We Love Stamping (anything goes with roses option). Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Card Drive

Good day! Today I'm sharing a card I made for a Card Drive for women going through chemotherapy. Click here for all the card drive details. To create this card I used a very retired stamp set by Stampin' Up! called You've Got This. The flower was colored with Copic markers and then fussy cut. Some stamped splatters were added using the retired Gorgeous Grunge stamp set by Stampin' Up! along with Pool Party ink. The layers were cut using the Scallops & Rectangles die set by Unity Stamps. A little butterfly was added for detail and that's it. If you have some spare time I would like to encourage you to make cards for this card drive. It doesn't matter how many you make, each one will be appreciated. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Daisy Garden Card

Hello and happy Earth Day! Usually I like to go outside and do some spring cleaning and plant flowers on Earth Day. However, today in Oklahoma it's just way too windy. So, I decided to play with the Daisy Garden stamp by Stampin' Up! instead. The colors used include: Soft Succulent, Pale Papaya, Evening Evergreen, Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody. A butterfly from the Butterfly Gala stamp set was added and the sentiment is from the retired Special Moments stamp set from sale-a-bration. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping and that's it. So glad you stopped by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

Thank You Card with Tree

Well... after all those presents are unwrapped, sending a thank you card is always a good idea. So, I made this card for my parents using some of my older stash. At the rate I buy patterned paper I will never use it all and I know several of my stamps sets haven't been used enough. It felt good to use these neglected supplies. Most everything is retired by Stampin' Up! except for the Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress ink by Ranger. It's nothing fancy, just a simple Thank You Card with Tree. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!🌲

This card is entered into the anything goes challenge at Krafty Chicks.

Here are two Poinsettia Christmas Cards I made coloring the Poinsettias differently inspired by photos of Ice Punch Poinsettias. So Sweet Card - TMS #610

Hello and thank you for stopping by! This week at Tuesday Morning Sketches we have another great sketch designed by Melissa Craig. I enjoyed playing with the Sweet Strawberry and Berry Blessings stamp sets by Stampin' Up! for this So Sweet Card. The images were colored with a mix of Copic and Stampin' Blends markers. I love the colors in the Berry Delightful dsp and colored the images to coordinate. I do wish I would have moved the sentiment over a little, but it looks okay.😊

We would love for you to join us this week! For all the design team inspiration and challenge details click HERE. Thanks again for stopping by and enjoy your day!

Floral Birthday Card - TMS #602

Oops... I've forgotten what day it is! With my hubby home healing from surgery and my chore load doubled I'm doing good to remember my name.  😊 So, here is a quick post to share my card for this weeks Tuesday Morning Sketch by Melissa Craig. It's a square card and mine is 5.25" square, although you could make it into an A2 card if you like. All the supplies used are by Stampin' Up! and they are all retired items. I bought the Everything Is Rosy Product Medley when it went on clearance and I finally decided to use it. The sentiment is from the Birthday Blooms stamp set and everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. We would love for you to join us this week and share your take on the sketch. Congratulations Card

Good day! A teammate at Tuesday Morning Sketches used the mini slimline card sketch with flowers and I loved it. You can see her card HERE. So, I decided to break open the Everything is Rosy kit from Stampin' Up! (retired) and play with the sketch again. This Congratulations Card was made for my niece who won a title in our hometown beauty pageant. So, I wanted to make her something pretty. 🌸🌸🌸

Using the sketch made this card come together really quickly. The only stamping was the sentiment, so all I had to do was cut the paper and adhere the layers. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!
