Meowy Christmas Card

Good day and Merry Christmas! It's just the hubby and I at home today and since he was taking a nap, I decided to make this Meowy Christmas Card. Since I went back to work, it's been harder to find time to make cards. This year I didn't have enough handmade Christmas cards to send everyone on my list, so I sent everyone boxed cards. The few I made this year will hang out in my stash until next year.

This Meowy Christmas Card was made using the From The Cat stamp set by Graciellie Designs available at Unity Stamps. I colored the cat to look like Chester, we rescued him in October. He is such a handful!  So sweet when he is sleeping, but a crazy cat when he is awake. The patterned papers are from the Let It Snow paper pad by Doodlebug Designs (2021). Three layered snowflakes were added for detail and that's it. So glad you stopped by and I wish you a very Merry Christmas!🎅

Song of Snowflakes Card

Hello! I hope you're having a wonderful Christmas Eve. Today I'm sharing this Song of Snowflakes Card that I made for a friend. I really love this card! Initially, I had a hard time deciding on the patterned papers, but I'm happy with my blue choice. The papers are from the My Favorite Winter paper pad by Echo Park (2019). The stamp set used if by Newton's Nook and it's called Winter Birds. Copic markers were used to color the images and then the coordinating dies to cut them out. Back in 2018 I made a similar card and I almost made an exact duplicate, but I'm glad I changed things up. To finish off this card three punched snowflakes were added and everything was adhered flat. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!❄🐦❄

Hippo Christmas Card

Good day! One of my friends asked me to make her some Christmas cards, so I'm trying to make a couple each week. I hope she likes this Hippo Christmas Card because I think it turned out pretty cute. The hippo image is by Stampendous and it was colored with Copic markers then fussy cut. It did take some time trying to find the right papers. The stripe paper is retired from the Warmth & Cheer paper pad by Stampin' Up and the snowflake paper is from the Winter Market paper collection by Carta Bella. A photo frame die was used to give the hippo a place to rest. Three die cut snowflakes added for detail and a Joy die cut from Simon Says Stamp. Everything was adhered flat and that's it. So glad you stopped by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.❄❄❄

Well... hello! Can you believe it's Tuesday again and the end of September? The holiday season is upon us and I can always use extra thank you cards during the holidays. This Snow Much Card was made using this weeks sketch challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches. The large snowflake was cut using my Cricut machine and the smaller snowflakes are die cuts. Everything was adhered to a piece of patterned paper from the retired Snowflake Splendor dsp by Stampin' Up!. The Thank You Snow Much sentiment is from the retired Snowflake Wishes stamp set by Stampin' Up! and that's it. We would love for you to join us this week. Snow Thanks Card - TMS #593

Hello! This week at Tuesday Morning Sketches we have one last 2020 sketch to revisit and we are playing with Tammy's favorite sketch. It was challenge #548 from March 31, 2020 and it was designed by former design team member LJ. The first time I followed the sketch exactly, this time I mixed it up using snowflakes. We would love for you to join us this week! For all the challenge details and design team inspiration click HERE. I look forward to seeing what you create. ❄❄❄

Here in Oklahoma we've had a very unusual cold snap and it's been below freezing here since last Monday. At first we got ice and now we have about 5" of snow on the ground with more on the way. The cold and snow definitely influenced my design choices. To make this Snow Thanks Card I used patterned paper from the retired Snowflake Splendor dsp. The sentiment is from the Snowflake Wishes stamp set and the snowflake die cuts are from the So Many Snowflakes die set. Three sequins were added to finish the sketch and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Wishing You Joy Card

On Monday night I started making this Wishing You Joy Card to play along in a few challenges. Then Tuesday my life had a heartbreaking change. We knew my younger brother wasn't doing well and his prognosis was terminal but we thought we had another month or more with him. I made the two hour drive to the hospital and was there when my brother took his last breath. Watching him die has been the hardest thing I've ever done! His suffering is over but our journey of grief has just begun. After losing my younger sister in 2011 my hope was to never go through the loss of a sibling again, now at the age of 45 I'm an only child. My heart is broken all over again. If you believe in the power of prayer, feel free to say a prayer for me and my family. 💔

Tonight I finished this Wishing You Joy Card featuring an image from the Festive Fawns stamp set by Newton's Nook. It was colored with a mix of Copic and Stampin' Up! markers. The sentiment is from the Poinsettia Blooms stamp set by Newton's Nook. Two die sets by Newton's Nook were also used, the Land Borders set and the Forest Scene Builder set. The purple snowflake paper is from the Altitude Collection by Bo Bunny. To add a little more detail I used a snowflake edge punch by EK Success with white glitter paper for sparkle. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping and that's it. As always... I'm glad you stopped by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

Wishing Joy Card - TMS #528

Happy Tuesday! This week at Tuesday Morning Sketches we are happy to welcome KT Fit Kitty to our design team. She will be a co-designing with Lisa Lynn and they will alternate weeks. I'm thrilled to be working with both of these talented ladies.

This weeks sketch was designed by Debbie Foster and it made me think of a neglected snowflake die I had tucked back in my cabinet. It's been a while since I've used it and I'm trying to use my older supplies. So whether you have something older or something new to use, we would love to see your take on this weeks sketch. You have until 8 pm EST on Sunday to link your creation. Click HERE for the design team inspiration and challenge details.

Winter Snowman Card

Hello! Here in Oklahoma we've been teased with snow several times but all we received was a dusting and really cold weather. The snow seems to fizzle out when it gets here and then after it passes through it snows on the other side of us. Well, if it's going to be cold it might as well snow. Snow is pretty! It never lasts long around here, so I say let it snow.

This is my second card using this weeks sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. I really like the layout and thought it would work well for this Winter Snowman Card. The snowman image is by Bugaboo Stamps, however it's not currently in their shop. Copic markers were used to color the image and Stickles add sparkle to the snow and hat. A Tim Holtz Alterations circle framelit die was used to cut out the image and then it was matted to a piece of Island Indigo cardstock by Stampin' Up!. The snowflake and striped paper are by Authentique from the Solitude 6x6 paper pad and the white knit paper is by Lawn Fawn Knit Picky 6x6 paper pad. The Warm Winter Wishes sentiment was stamped with Memento black ink and three white snowflake sequins add the finishing touch. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. So glad you stopped by! Wishing you a happy and crafty day!

Snowflake Winter Birds Card

Oh my! I stayed up way too late last night trying to get some things accomplished. One item finished was making a card for the current Inky Paws challenge to use Silver and/or Gold. This Snowflake Winter Birds Card features the Winter Birds stamp set by Newton's Nook and the coordinating dies were used along with a Big Shot. Copic markers were used to color the little Chickadee and Red-Breasted Nuthatch. The gold foil patterned paper is from American Crafts (2016) and was matted to a piece of Basic Gray cardstock. The focal oval was created using distress inks and splattered with watered down acrylic paint, once dry it was die cut with a pierced oval by Avery Elle and the sentiment was heat embossed. That's it! So glad you stopped by!

Bunny Christmas Card

Christmas will be here in less than two weeks! Have you mailed your cards yet? I always mail mine about ten days before Christmas, but I still have a couple of cards to make. Then I'll have to decorate and address the envelopes to get the cards in the mail on time. 🎄

This afternoon I made this Bunny Christmas Card using a digital image by Lee Holland. The image was colored with Copic markers and then the image was die cut with an Alterations square die by Tim Holtz. After cutting the snowflakes with a Cricut machine some acrylic glitter paint was painted on and some added to the snow on the image . To accent the bunny's hat some Stickles were added and a dot of stickles in the center of the snowflakes for extra sparkle. All papers are from the Holly Jolly 6 x 6 paper pad by American Crafts (2015). That's it! So glad you stopped by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Hello and happy Tuesday! Today is the start of a new sketch challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches and the design team has some wonderful inspiration for you. You can see all their creations and find the challenge details HERE. The sketch was designed by Melissa Craig and I thought it was perfect for some die cut snowflakes to go along with the Poppi Xmas Snowballs image by Bugaboo Stamps. Let it Snow Card

There is still plenty of summer left but I would take a few snowflakes about now. We were lucky today and it stayed overcast and it wasn't blazing hot, it was actually nice for a change. The forecast for the weekend includes rain and my flowerbeds would be really happy if that happened. So, I'm thinking positive thoughts for rain!!!

It was nice making this Let it Snow Card and thinking about a snowy day. I started by selecting the Winter Cat and Puppy Dog image by Bugaboo Stamps. Then I selected the patterned papers by Doodlebug Designs which have been in my stash for quite some time. The image was then colored with Copic markers to coordinate with the papers. To play along with the Catch The Bug Christmas in July Day 4 Bingo Challenge I added sparkle die cut snowflakes and blue rhinestone brads for bling and I used a Bugaboo image, so I went diagonal from right to left. The Let it Snow sentiment is from the retired Snow Place stamp set by Stampin' Up! and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Season to be Freezin' Card

Good day crafty friends! It's always fun to play along with the Christmas in July challenges. Especially when the heat index has been over a hundred degrees for several days. At this point I would take a really strong cool front or an early Fall would be nice too. To help create some cooler thoughts I used the Meowy Christmas image by Bugaboo Digi Stamps along with patterned paper from the Altitude paper pad by Bo Bunny. Copic markers were used to color the kitties and then the image was die cut with a cross-stitched die by My Favorite Things. To finish off the card the 'Tis the Season to be Freezin' sentiment by Taylored Expressions was added along with two snowflakes cut with a Cricut machine. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Winter Fox Card

Happy Friday! Life has been busy lately. Last night I spent two hours making decorative pretzel rods for my hubby's coworkers. Most my days are spent sewing since I'm making several of our Christmas gifts this year. It's always my goal to avoid the big box stores this time of year. The crowds and excessive Christmas marketing drive me crazy.

Onto this Winter Fox Card, the Winter Fox and coordinating dies by Lawn Fawn were one of my Cyber Monday purchases. It's the perfect image to share at the Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. All patterned paper on this card is by Lawn Fawn and the glitter snow was created with Iridescent Ice embossing powder. The fox was colored with Copic markers, then it was die cut and adhered directly to the card. The sentiment comes with the stamp set and three snowflake sequins were added for detail. I'm also linking this card to the Snowflake Challenge at Cute Card Thursday. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and Warm Winter Wishes to you.

Let It Snow Card

Brrrr.... it's cold outside today! The sky is gray and gloomy and the wind is has a bitter bite. There is a possibility we may see a few snow flurries but it's not supposed to last long. It's a great day to cook a pot of stew for dinner. Of course that means I have to make a trip to the grocery store, but it will be worth it.

In anticipation of possibly seeing snow I made this Let It Snow Card with a Bugaboo Digi Stamp called Snowman 003. The image was colored with Copic markers and framed with a layer of Marina Mist cardstock where I fussy cut the window using a pair of deckle scissors by Fiskars. A light blue piece of cardstock was embossed with a snowflake embossing folder by Darice and Sky Blue chalk ink was added to the raised areas for detail. Once the card was assembled some Star Dust Stickles was added to the snow beneath the snowman for sparkle. The Let It Snow sentiment by Stampin' Up! was added which was anchored with one snowflake. Everything was adhered flat to make it easy to ship. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Reindeer Merriest Wishes Card

This time of year it's easy to find several Christmas challenges to inspire your card creations. For this Reindeer Merriest Wishes Card I selected the following challenges to create my card:
First step was selecting the image from my Bugaboo Digi Stamp collection. The image is called Reindeer - Christmas Goodies and it was colored with Copic markers. To add sparkling snow under the reindeer's feet I used glossy accents and fine white glitter. The frame around the image was die cut using a frame die from Taylored Expressions. The snowflakes were cut using a Cricut machine and the Christmas Noel cartridge. A shadow layer in pink was added for some extra color and some clear Wink of Stella applied for more shimmer. The sentiment is from the Christmas Magic stamp set by Stampin' Up! and the papers are a mix, stripes by Echo Park and ornaments by Recollections. That pretty much sums it up. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

To create the snow I used Tulip Puffy Paint, sprinkled fine white glitter on while it was wet and then used the heat gun to make it puff up. A scalloped frame die by Taylored Expressions was used with Rich Razzleberry cardstock by Stampin' Up! The final touch was adding the three snowflakes that were cut using a Cricut machine and Christmas Noel cartridge. That's it! I hope you like it and don't forget to go download the image today while it's still free. Thanks for stopping by!

Peace and Joy Snowman Card

The Christmas in July challenges have begun! Since I have a tendency to procrastinate when making holiday cards I find the July Christmas challenges very helpful. This Peace and Joy Snowman Card was made for the following challenges:
To create this Peace and Joy Snowman Card I printed the digital Cute Snowman image by Bugaboo. After coloring the image with Copic markers the image was die cut using a stitched circle die by My Favorite Things. All patterned paper are from the Altitude Collection by Bo Bunny. I love the colors in this collection!!! Cardstock colors include: Whisper White, Dapper Denim and Rich Razzleberry all by Stampin' Up!. After adhering all the papers together I positioned the image and adhered flat to the card. Then the sentiment from the Good Greetings stamp set by Stampin' Up! was added along with three punched snowflakes. For a little more detail three small sequins were added in the center of the snowflakes and some clear Wink of Stella added to the snowman's hat. That's pretty much it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Christmas Card with Digital Goat Image

Hello! Today is the launch of over 10 new digital images at Jessica Lynn Original. Each member of the design team will be featuring inspiration for you on their blogs for the next few days. It was hard to pick which stamp to use first, but this cute Christmas Goat has such a sweet face it finally won me over.

To create this card I started by printing the image and coloring it with Copic markers. Then the image was die cut using a stitched square die by Lil' Inkers. To add some dimension I used white Tulip puffy paint and iridescent loose glitter to make it look like snow under the feet of the goat. All patterned papers are by The Paper Studio and the Merry Christmas sentiment is from a freebie I received years ago. The finishing touches included some Lucky Limeade twine and three snowflake stickers from Jolee's. That's it! I hope you will stop back by tomorrow and check out more inspiration for the digital image launch at Jessica Lynn Original.

Jolly Cats Christmas Card

Good day crafty friends! I would like to share the Christmas card I made for the veterinarians who take care of our kitties. We have three feline friends which made this new image from Bugaboo Digi Stamps the perfect choice. The image was colored with Copic markers and some puffy paint was added to the kitty's hat for detail. Using a stitched rectangle die cut the image was cut to size and matted with Rich Razzleberry cardstock by Stampin' Up!. The patterned paper is from the Altitude Collection by Bo Bunny which made for a nice non-traditional colored Christmas card. Additional cardstock colors include Lost Lagoon and Bermuda Bay. The sentiment by Kaisercraft was stamped using Memento black ink. All layout details are from this weeks sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. I added a die cut snowflake off the corner of the top square and would have loved to add a couple more but ran out of white glittery paper (don't ya hate that?). Well that about sums it up. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!
