You Arff the Best Card

Hello! It's been a lazy Sunday at my house. So, I decided to make this You Arff the Best Card for a sweet lady I know. The dog image is from the Puppy Friends stamp set by Newton's Nook. After the images were colored using Copic markers they were die cut with the coordinating dies. A couple of pieces of patterned paper from the Day in the Life paper pad by Echo Park were selected. The focal panel was made using a deckle rectangle die, then sponging on distress inks in Tumbled Glass and Peeled Paint. Everything was adhered flat and that's it. So glad you stopped by!

Challenges entered: Crafty Animals (Anything Goes with an Animal), Critter Crazy (Anything Goes with Featured Critter) and Krafty Chicks (Stamp Act).

Paw-some Birthday Card

Good day! It's been awhile since I've made a masculine birthday card, so I made this Paw-some Birthday Card today. The image and sentiment are from the Paw-some Birthday stamp set by Newton's Nook. Copic markers were used to color the image and the coordinating dies used to cut it out. Some striped and polka dot papers from the Happy Birthday paper pad by Echo Park (2017) was selected. Everything was adhered flat and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Challenges entered: Addicted to Stamps and More (Any Occasion), Beyond The Blue (Birthdays), Crafty Animals (Anything Goes including an Animal), Inkspirational (Use Dots and Stripes) and Inky Paws (Birthday).🎁

Dog Sympathy Card

Hello! On Monday I learned of the tragic passing of a dog from the apartment complex where I work. So, I made this Dog Sympathy Card for the owner's. Losing a pet is heartbreaking and sometimes the little things help to get us through.

This Dog Sympathy Card is pretty simple to create. The cloud paper is by Kaiser Craft from the Little Treasures Collection. A die cut cloud using a Puffy Cloud border die by Lawn Fawn. The heartfelt sympathy sentiment is by Unity Stamps from the No Better Words sentiment kit (December 2020). A dog silhouette die cut made using a Cricut machine and then three blue heart sequins added for detail. That's it and thanks for stopping by.

Pet Sympathy Cards

Hello! Last month I started a part time job, so my crafting time is more limited than usual. It had been three years since my last job, and I didn't realize how difficult the transition would be. My cats aren't sure what has happened, but thankfully they are only home one day by themselves.

Recently, I needed a cat sympathy card for a friend who suddenly lost one of her cats. I did a image search and found a card on Pinterest that inspired these designs. It was sad, but two weeks after I made the cat card one of my hubby's coworkers had a dog pass away. So, I made a dog sympathy card using the same design. I used different cloud paper, because I couldn't decide which one I liked better. The cat and dog silhouettes were made using punches by Stampin' Up! and the cloud borders were cut with a Lawn Fawn die. Everything was adhered flat and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Spooktacular Halloween Card

Hello! The month of Halloween has arrived and I enjoy making Halloween cards for family and friends. This Spooktacular Halloween Card was inspired by a couple of challenge. The photo at Inspiration Station has a girl trick-or-treating with a green pumpkin pail and there are bats on the house. The photo at Two Old Bats inspired me to use the spider web oval stamp by Newton's Nook. Most of the supplies used on this card are by Newton's Nook. The image is called Halloween Pile and it was colored with Copic markers. The Oval Frame Dies were used and the patterned paper is from the Halloween Meows paper pad. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping and that's it. So glad you stopped by and enjoy the rest of your day! 🎃

Birthday Bouquet Card

Good day crafty friends! The month of May has many birthdays of family and friends, including mine. I think it's fun to make a card for myself and this Birthday Bouquet Card is this years make. The main stamp set used is called Bouquet Buddies by Hello Bluebird. This set is a good mix of stamping and coloring. The cat and dog were colored with Copic markers and the bouquet of flowers were stamped with colored ink pads. Two butterflies from the Springtime stamp set were colored with Copic markers and added for more color. The happy birthday die cut was a freebie from Simon Says Stamp back in 2017. Everything was adhered to the yellow Lawn Fawn Speckled paper layered onto the scalloped Gorgeous Grape cut using a die set by Unity Stamps. Everything was adhered flat and that's it. So glad you stopped by and enjoy the rest of your day!

From My Heart Card

Good day! We have snow on the ground here in Oklahoma and I always enjoy it's fleeting existence. It doesn't usually last more than a couple of days and that's a good thing for my aching joints. I venture outside to feed the birds and then quickly get back inside. Snow days are great crafting and napping days!

To make this From My Heart Card I start with the color challenge at Color Throwdown to use Pink, Red, Cranberry and Kraft. These colors naturally lend themselves to a love or Valentine's Day card. The sentiment stamp is from Whimsies & Wishes and the little dog image is from the Love is in the Air stamp set by Reverse Confetti. The heart Kraft paper is from a paper pad I've had since 2012 called With Love by American Crafts and the other papers were from my scrap bin. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping and that's it. I'm also entering this card into the With Love challenge at Simon Says and the All About Occasions challenge at Watercooler Wednesday. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Howl-idays Card - TMS #636

Oh my... this month is going by way too fast! I've been working on Christmas cards and made this Howl-idays Card using this weeks challenge sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. Instead of the traditional red and green, I decided to mix it up and use red and blue colors. The image is by Newton's Nook and it was colored with Copic markers then die cut with the coordinating die. Two patterned papers were cut the same size and then I cut the ends off two corners of the plaid paper to follow the sketch. The edges of the center panel were cut using a pair of Fiskars scissors and some tumbled glass distress ink added before adhering the image. To finish it off three red glimmer stickers were added and that's it. We would love for you to give the sketch a try and link it to the challenge. Birthday Card with Dogs

Hello! This afternoon I made this Birthday Card with Dogs to remember my sister's birthday. She would have turned 45 today, but she passed away ten years ago. Making cards has helped me process my grief for the loss of both my siblings and several furry family members. It's been a wonderful form of therapy for me.

This Birthday Card with Dogs uses a stamp set by Newton's Nook that was the 2019 Stamptember exclusive at Simon Says Stamp. The images were stamped with Memento black ink and colored with Copic markers to coordinate with the patterned paper from the Birthday Wishes paper pad by Echo Park (2015). That's it and thanks for stopping by!

Halloween Pals Card

Hello! Are you counting down the days until Halloween? We started decorating our yard. In our neighborhood our Halloween decorations are always a big hit. It's fun to make the kids smile with decorations and of course candy. 🎃

Awhile back I colored these cute images from the Halloween Pals stamp set by Pretty Pink Posh. So, I decided to make an inky background using distress oxide inks and put them on a card. A black fence was die cut using a Lawn Fawn die called Little Picket Fence. The sentiment was heat embossed with silver embossing powder and two punched bats added to the sky. That's it. I've almost finished all my Halloween cards for this year. I plan to make a couple more and I'll be done. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day! 🦇

Halloween Pug Card

Hello! The month of October is almost here and I still have several Halloween cards to make. When I saw the sketch #679 at Sketch Saturday I knew it was perfect for a quick and easy Halloween card. So, I made this Halloween Pug Card using an image by Newton's Nook called Pug-kin along with a sentiment by Stampendous!. The plaid paper is from the I Love Halloween paper pad by Echo Park (2020). That's it, a simple and easy card. I'm also linking this card to the anything goes challenge at Crafting Happiness. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!🎃

Sending Love Card - TMS #613

Hello! I hope you're doing well and ready to play along with this weeks sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. The sketch was designed by me and I had squares on the brain that day. It's a great sketch to use paper scraps or try some fun ink techniques like Debbie did on her card (click here). Don't get stressed about the size of the squares, just give it a try and link your creation to the challenge by 8 pm EST on Sunday. For all the design team inspiration and challenge details click HERE. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

This Sending Love Card is entered into the All Things Feminine challenge at Watercooler Wednesday.

Happy Howl-idays Card

Merry Christmas! Our day will be spent with just the two of us as we try to avoid others during this pandemic. We are making stuffed shells with linguine for dinner and I might make some pumpkin bread. It's going to be a nice calm day!

This Happy Howl-idays Card was one of my last minute makes for one of our friends. It was supposed to be a fast and easy card, but I underestimated how long it takes me to color an image. Of course I used red and black Copic markers which, in my opinion, are more challenging to use. So, other than coloring this was a simple card. Everything was adhered flat and I mailed it the day I made it. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day however you choose to spend it.

Miss You Card with Dog

Hello! The days keep flying by but my crafty mojo has been on the fritz lately. It's not because of the lack of supplies because I have plenty and still enjoy ordering new stuff (ha). When I sit down at my craft desk I look around online and then just walk away. I know I'm struggling with the passing of my brother and I'm sad. It's just going to take a lot more time!

This Miss You Card with Dog was made using the Stella Says Sketch challenge at Catch The Bug. The sketch is for a square card, but I rarely send a square card through the mail. So, I condensed it into a rectangle A2 card. The image is called Flower Puppy and it was colored with Copic markers. The floral paper is from the Memory Box Cottage Meadow paper pad and the Miss You die cut is by Impression Obsession. A little flower was added for detail and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Cat and Dog Hugs Card

Oh my... it seems when it rains it pours, especially lately. Several of my friends have lost family members lately and I'm still struggling with my own grief. So, I decided to sit down and make something cute and heartfelt with a couple stamps I had never used. The Cat and Dog image is from Whimsy stamps and it's called Lend Me Your Ear (mine is a rubber cling stamp but it looks like it's only available as a digital stamp now) and I paired it with a Hugs sentiment stamp by Unity Stamps from the Bunny- Keep You Forever sentiment kit. After stamping the image with Memento black ink, Copic markers were used for coloring and then it was fussy-cut. The plaid paper is from Perfectly Plaid Christmas paper pad by Lawn Fawn (2016). Three punched hearts were added and everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

This was Debbie's favorite sketch designed by Melissa Craig and you can see the original challenge post HERE. Valentine's Day is only a month away, so I decided to make this Heart Dog Xoxo Card. I think it turned out pretty cute and it will probably be sent to one of my nieces. I hope you will join us this week! You can find all the challenge details and design team inspiration HERE. Don't forget to have your creation linked to the challenge by 8 pm EST on Sunday. 😊

Where is the Candy? Halloween Card

Only a few more days until Halloween! Our yard is decorated and I've bought the candy, because it's all about the candy. Unfortunately, the weather is going to be cooler than normal for Halloween night. I'm hoping we still get a good number of trick-or-treaters! If not my hubbies coworkers will get some candy. 🎃

All my cards have been mailed for this year but I'm still in the Halloween mood. So, I made this Where is the Candy? Halloween Card to get a head start on next years cards. The sentiment and images are from the Where is the Candy? stamp set by Gerda Steiner Designs. After the images were colored I fussy cut them (because I couldn't find the coordinating dies, they are somewhere in my mess). The patterned paper is from the Pumpkin Party paper pad by Doodlebug Designs. I love the colors in this paper collection! Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping and three sequins added for sparkle. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

The polka dot paper is from the Boos & Brews paper pad by Doodlebug Design (2016) and the green is by Lawn Fawn from the Watercolor Wishes paper pad (2017). A few sequins to finish it off and everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!
