Just Bee-cause Card - TMS #571

Hello! I hope you had a wonderful extended Labor Day weekend. It wasn't very eventful at my house. In fact, I didn't leave the house on Sunday and Monday. I did go outside briefly to feed the birds, but that was the extent of my excitement.

Today is Tuesday and that means the start of another sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. The sketch is designed by Melissa Craig. I got a little creative and my vision was three bees buzzing around the top of a flower. A stencil was used for the flower with Wilted Violet distress ink onto a piece of Spiffy Speckles paper by Lawn Fawn. The bees are from the Bee Happy stamp set by Hello Bluebird and they were colored with Copic markers. That's really it! We would love for you to join us this week. For all the challenge details and design team inspiration click HERE. Don't forget to link your creation by 8 pm EST on Sunday. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Bee Happy Card - TMS #508

Happy Tuesday! It's the middle of June and the official start to summer is almost here. I'm not a hot weather fan, so I will be happy to stay indoors and craft! I hope you're in the crafting mood, because today is the start of another sketch challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches. I was inspired to create a scene using a new stamp set and coordinating dies by Hello Bluebird called Bee Happy. This weeks sketch was designed by Debbie Foster and I can't wait to see how you use it. For all the challenge details and design team inspiration click HERE. So glad you stopped by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Bee-lieve in You Card - TMS #493

Happy Tuesday! This weeks challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches features a new sketch designed by Melissa Craig. I had a lot of fun making this Bee-lieve in You Card using a stamp by Unity Stamps. Now it's your turn to use this weeks sketch and join the challenge. You have until Sunday at 8 pm EST to link your creation. Click HERE for all the design team inspiration and challenge details.

While cleaning the other day I found a loose piece of yellow gingham paper and after deciding to use the Bee Supportive stamp by Unity it seemed perfect for this card. The kraft bee paper is from the Spring Fling 6x6 paper pad by Pebbles (2015) and everything was matted to a piece of Basic Black cardstock. Using this weeks sketch for the layout made making this card super easy. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Hello Honey Card

Good day! It's a cold rainy day today, so I stayed indoors and made this Hello Honey Card. This weather has me thinking about Spring and all the lovely Spring flowers. So, I decided to use Spring patterned papers by Pebbles from the Spring Fling collection/2015. The bear and bee images are from the Winston's Honeybees stamp set by Newton's Nook. All images and sentiment were stamped with Memento black ink. Copic markers were used to color the images and then they were die cut with a stitched circle die by My Favorite Things. Cardstock colors include: Basic Black, Mint Macaroon, Hello Honey and Watermelon Wonder all by Stampin' Up!. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Just Bee-Cuz Card

Hello and I hope you're having a lovely day! This coming week I'm having outpatient surgery, so I've been busy cleaning my crafting table and putting things away. It's amazing the kind of mess I can make while crafting! It would be nice if  I would clean one mess before I make another... but where is the fun in that? Eventually and usually when it gets really messy I clean. When I moved a few papers I came across the sketch for the Inky Paws Challenge #52 and decided to make one more card... this is called "procraftinating" and I do it really well. I love Winston by Newton's Nook and was inspired by a couple of the design team examples who also used Winston images. All stamps on this card are from the Winston's Honeybees set and were colored with Copic markers. The patterned paper is from the Garden Party paper pad by Pebbles. A little Pool Party twine by Stampin' Up! to finish it off and that's it! Thanks for stopping by!

This Just Bee-Cuz Card is entered into the following challenges: Inky Paws Sketch Challenge, Creative Knockouts Furry Friends Challenge and Pattie's Creations Anything Goes Challenge.

Cute Bee Happy Birthday Card

The summer heat continues to beat down on us here in Oklahoma and I'm thankful that each day gets us closer to fall. I have a tendency to start making fall cards really early. Even though it's hot outside when I'm in my craft room I have to remind myself that it's still summer. When making this Cute Bee Happy Birthday Card the summery colors in the retired Sunshine & Sprinkles dsp by Stampin' Up! worked perfectly. The layout is from this weeks sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. Their sponsor this week is Bugaboo Digi Stamps and I've used their Cute Bee Flower image and colored it with my Copic markers. For added detail I printed the image on polka dot melon mambo paper and fussy cut the flower. The wings of the bee were colored with a C3 marker and I added diamond Stickles for a glittery effect. The clouds were sponged on using Bashful Blue ink (retired). I added the sentiment circle and used a Hero Arts Happy Birthday stamp. The final addition were the three yellow polka dot brads by The Paper Studio. I hope this card helps to brighten your day. Thanks for stopping by!
