Speedy Recovery Card - TMS #507

Hello and happy Tuesday! Today is the start of new sketch challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches. This weeks sketch is super easy and versatile for holidays or everyday. I decided to make a recovery card using the On The Mend stamp set by Lawn Fawn. This is one category of cards that I don't have many in my stash. Can you tell the background paper is little pills? It's by Doodlebug Designs and is from the So Much Pun 6x6 pad (2018). I'm looking forward to see how you use this weeks sketch! You have until Sunday at 8 pm EST to link your creation. Recover Card with Band-aids

The first week of the new year is almost over and it's been a cold one for many places in the United States. I'm still working part-time but not for much longer. The job is seasonal, so in about a week I'll be finished. It has been nice getting out of the house, but it also made me realize my day to day pain was more than I thought. When I sit for long periods of time or stand for too long I'm in pain. So, I made an appointment with a doctor and had an x-ray to find the reason. Come to find out... I have a bone spur on my right hip bone. It could be causing more damage, but I need an MRI to determine the extent. Anyway.... that's what's up with me. I hope you're having a better New Year!

This Recover Card with Band-aids was made for my aunt who had rotator cuff surgery earlier this week. The design is repeated from a card I made back in 2013. It's simple and easy to make. The band-aids and sentiment came from the retired Patterned Occasions stamp set by Stampin' Up!. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

Recover Rapidly Card

Good afternoon! Yesterday, my mother-in-law had surgery on her back for a very painful bulging disk. That prompted me to make this Recover Rapidly Card. I used another card from my Pinterest inspiration board for the layout. I made a couple of changes because I love to repeat images in threes. The colors are Rich Razzleberry and Crumb Cake. The polka dot dsp is from the sale-a-bration Sycamore Street collection and I used the Square Lattice embossing folder. I masked and stamped the sentiment, punched it out with the Word Window punch and layered it onto the Modern Label punched card stock.  The embossed paper was easy to tear and the texture coordinates well with the bandages. Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!
