Magnificent Maple Grateful Card

This evening I was reminded by my friend Jessi's card post that the deadline for the Tuesday Trigger at Moxie Fab World is midnight tonight. It worked out nicely because I really like the sketch at The Paper Players and I used it to make this Magnificent Maple Grateful Card. I've used a mixture of different patterned papers and they're all from different companies, My Mind's Eye (big woodgrain), American Crafts (light woodgrain), and K & Company (plaid). The Truly Grateful sentiment stamp and the Magnificent Maple stamp are both by Stampin' Up! Before I stamped the maple leaf, I sponged Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, and Cherry Cobbler ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock. I inked the maple stamp with Cajun Craze and stamped onto the sponged cardstock. Then I fussy cut the maple leaf and adhered it to a 2.5" circle. The accent banners are made from Cherry Cobbler cardstock and the final touch were three Old Olive Candy Dots. I'm also linking this card to the Anything Goes challenge at Make It Monday. Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Country Chic Love Card

Last night I spent some time creating this Country Chic Love Card. I used the Tuesday Trigger Photo inspiration from Moxie Fab World. Since I grew up in the country, I've taken the clean colors in the photo and given them a Country feel. The style is different for me, I distressed and inked all the edges and did a little sanding. I hope you like it! Different is good, right?

Country Chic Love Card Supplies: Very Vanilla and Primrose Petals Core'dinations card stock by Stampin' Up! Handmade Love Card

Hello! This afternoon I've been combining a few card challenges. I used the CR84FN Color Challenge ,the Mojo Monday Sketch challenge, and the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger photo to create this Handmade Love Card. It's been awhile since I participated in all of these challenges, so it made perfect sense to combine them. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

Handmade Love Card Supplies:
  • Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, and Pool Party card stock by Stampin' Up and patterned paper by American Crafts.
  • Other Stuff: Swiss Dots embossing folder by Cuttlebug, Finishing Touches Edgelit, Pool Party twine, and Small Heart punch by Stampin' Up!, Cricut Machine, Home Accents Cricut Cartridge, and paper heart doily from dollar bin at Target.

When I look at the Moxie Fab Trigger photo called Sweet Dreams it reminds me of a serene comfortable romance and that helped me decide to make this Handmade Love Card that I will use as a wedding card.

Hexagon & Twine Note Card

There are so many great card challenges online that it's really hard to pick which ones to participate in.  Tonight I combined the Color Throwdown challenge and the Moxie Fab World hooked on hexagons challenge.  I started by using my Cricut machine to cut out the hexagon shapes and the fancy hexagon shadows featured on the Winter Wonderland cartridge.  Then I knew I wanted to use twine and the design just evolved from there.  This card has that modern feel that reminds me of the contemporary card I made back in May.

Hexagon & Twine Note Card Supplies:
  • Paper: Very vanilla, chocolate, tempting turquoise, pumpkin pie, and pink cardstock by Stampin' Up!, and green polka dot patterned paper by Paper Pizazz.
  • Stamps: TPC Studios greetings set, ST93416.
  • Inks: ColorBox chalk ink in chestnut roan.
  • Other Stuff: Cricut machine, Winter Wonderland Cricut cartridge, brown doodle twine, and stampin' dimensionals.

Inked Embossed Birthday Card

When I started my blog in March, I had no idea what kind of response I would get.  So, today I'm super happy to have over 10,000 page views.  Thank you for taking the time to view my work.  It's the small things in life that make me happy!!!

This Inked Embossed Birthday Card was made for the CAS-ual Fridays challenge CFC60 titled: Text me and the Moxie Fab World Birthday Stamping challenge. To create this card I inked up the Cuttlebug Happy Birthday embossing folder with Hero Arts chalk ink in Iris and then I ran it through my Texture Boutique machine by Sizzix.  Essentially this stamped and embossed the image at the same time.  It has a distressed look to it that I like but I thought it needed some colour.  To add some colour I embossed a couple of small sections and fussy cut the images, punched a couple of small flowers and added some bling to finish it off.

Punched Flower Birthday Card

Every crafting stash needs a couple of great flower punches. Punches make it easy to add detail to your card designs. This Punched Flower Birthday Card was made using the Blossom Punch and Mixed Bunch stamp set from Stampin' Up! The inspiration for this card came from the Tuesday Trigger: A Plate of Pretty Poppies from Moxie Fab World.

To create this card I punched the white cardstock, then stamped the coral cardstock and then framed the image.  The 3/4" circle is stamped but it's hard to tell from the photo.  I went with a monochromatic colour scheme to keep it simple.  Sometimes, I'm a big fan of the less is more approach.

Punched Flower Birthday Card Supplies: White cardstock, calypso coral cardstock, riding hood red cardstock and Everyday Enchantment designer series paper by Stampin' Up!, blossom punch and mixed bunch stamp set by Stampin' Up!, ColorBox chalk ink in warm red by Clearsnap, sentiment stamp by Hero Arts (classic messages, CL414), calypso coral twine by Stampin' Up!, Sticko dimensional sticker (dots pastels, 52-20021), and stampin' dimensionals.

Balloons Birthday Card

I was not happy with the card I made on Friday for the CAS-ual Friday challenge.  So today I made another one.  The challenge is to use two circles and the card Friday I used some cute little brads but yes they are round.  I asked my husband how many circles he saw on the card and he said eight.  Well, eight is not two.  This Balloons Birthday Card was made for the CAS-ual Fridays challenge and the Moxie Fab birthday challenge.  The balloons are paper pieced from some fun patterned paper scraps and the buttons are the two circles.  If your looking for more great card inspiration, click on the links and check out the other entries.

Balloons Birthday Card Supplies:  Blue cardstock, white cardstock, patterned paper scraps, black dye ink by Stampabilities, balloons stamp by Stampabilities (NR1025), VersaMark watermark stamp pad, Happy Birthday sentiment stamp by TPC Studios (Greetings Set, ST93416), Zing! embossing powder in blue metallic finish (27161), heat tool by The Paper Studio, hemp twine, and wood buttons by American Crafts.

  5. Sponge image with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Peeled Paint by Ranger (TIM20233), wipe image with paper towel to remove leftover ink from the embossed areas, trim edges, and layer with white cardstock.

Dare to Dream Card

Well, when I started creating a card this afternoon for the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger Challenge this is not at all what I pictured.  The bright bites photo supplied for the challenge gave me the color scheme to work with.  The bright cookies put circles in my mind.  I searched through my stash and found the perfect patterned paper to work with.  Then I laid out coordinating cardstock colors and the card just evolved one idea after another.  This is how some of my favorite cards are created.

Dare to Dream Card supplies:  White cardstock, lucky limemade cardstock by Stampin' Up!, patterned paper by The Paper Studio (Watercolor Bubble Stripe, #230011), scrap yellow patterned paper, orange glitter cardstock by Core'dinations, pink cardstock, Fiskars multiple circles decorative corner punch, Studio g rubber stamp, lucky limeade classic stamp pad by Stampin' Up!, and dimensionals.
