Handmade Card for Mom

Hello! It's a rainy day here in Oklahoma. I ran a few errands this morning and then decided to play in my craft room. After digging through my stamp sets, I decided to use the Always stamp set by Pink & Main to create this Handmade Card for Mom. My mom likes the color blue, so I found a pretty floral paper in the New Day paper pad by Echo Park (2022) that reminded me of her. It coordinates nicely with the stamp set. I used Copic markers to color the image and then added a sentiment using the Best Mom Oval stamp set by Newton's Nook. The coordinating dies were used to cut out the image and then everything was adhered flat. That's it, so glad you stopped by!

Mother's Day Card

Hello and happy Sunday! It may be a little early for Mother's Day, but since I'm not crafting as much, I thought I should make one early. This Mother's Day Card was made using colors from the current Inky Paws Challenge to use: Bubblegum Pink, Lilac, Spring Green and White. Most of the supplies are by Newton's Nook. The stamp set is Best Mom Oval, along with Oval Frames die and Springtime paper pad. A piece of pink stripe paper from my stash was added and the markers are Stampin' Blends. That's it, so glad you stopped by.

Challenges entered: Cardz 4 Galz (Spring Flowers), Crafty Catz (Anything Goes/Spring Colours), Inky Paws (Colors), Krafy Chicks (All Occasions) and We Love Stamping (Sping is in the Air). 🌼🌸🌼

Mother's Day Card - TMS #605

Hello! This week at Tuesday Morning Sketches we have a great sketch by Melissa Craig. I decided to use it to make my Mother's Day Card. The image (retired- Zinnia Bouquet by Taylored Expressions) had been colored during a coloring challenge, so I picked my papers to coordinate. I really like the yellow paper with hearts and couldn't find anything I liked better. It's definitely a bold choice for me, but we only live once.  😊

We would love for you to join us this week! For all the challenge details and design team inspiration click HERE. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your week!

Beautiful Day Card

Hope you're having a Beautiful Day! Since Mother's Day will be here in a few weeks, I decided to start making a few card options. I recently purchased the new Cheerful Daisies stamp set by Sunny Studio Stamps and decided to use it to create this Beautiful Day Card. It was a lot of fun stamping all the images once I found the ink colors I wanted to use. The flower colors were inspired by a Gerber Daisy plant I rescued last year. Ink colors include: Guava by Lawn Fawn, Flirty Flamingo by Stampin' Up!, Sunflower by Lawn Fawn, Crushed Curry by Stampin' Up!, Jalapeno by Lawn Fawn and Call Me Clover by Stampin' Up!. The sentiment stamp is from the WPlus 9 Doodle Buds stamp set and the lattice background is from a Sunny Studio die called Frilly Frames Lattice. A little butterfly was added for extra detail and everything was adhered flat for easy shipping.

So glad you stopped by!

Mother's Day Card

Recently one of my friends asked me to make her a Mother's Day Card and this is the card I made for her. The design is based from a previous card I made, but I have changed up the colors to make it different. It features patterned paper from the Secret Garden paper pad by Bo Bunny, embossing, lace and paper flowers. The sentiment stamp is by Hero Arts and was stamped onto white cardstock with Rich Razzleberry ink by Stampin' Up!. I think it turned out lovely and I hope her mother loves it. Wishing you a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!

Floral Frame Mom Card

This weekend is Mother's Day and this is the card I made my mom. The Floral Frame stamp and die set is by Taylored Expressions and the flowers were colored with Copic markers. The letters for MOM were cut with my Cricut machine. Picking the colors for this card was the hardest part but I think it turned out pretty. Thanks for stopping by and if you're a mother of a human or a fur baby... I wish you a happy Mother's Day this Sunday.

Garden Bunny Mother's Day Card

Hello! I hope you're having a lovely and calm Sunday. It's laundry day here at my house, but there is always plenty of time to sneak in some crafting while the washer and dryer do their jobs. This Garden Bunny Mother's Day Card was made with several challenges in mind.

The challenges include:
With Mother's Day quickly approaching, I decided to make a few extra cards to give my hubby a choice for his mother. We always have conversations about the rabbits in our yards, so I thought this Garden Bunny image made the perfect choice. Using Very Vanilla cardstock the image was printed, colored with Copic markers and then die cut using a stitched square die by Lil' Inkers. It was then matted to a slightly larger piece of Pear Pizzazz cardstock. The patterned paper on this card is from the Easter Greetings collection by PION Design and was adhered to Perfect Plum cardstock. Using Memento black ink the Happy Mother's Day sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set was stamped onto Very Vanilla cardstock and punched with the word window punch. It was then layered to a punched piece of Perfect Plum using the modern label punch. The final touch was three 4mm Lime Sorbet sequins from Pink Posh. That's it!

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Mother's Day Card with Cats

Happy Wednesday! This afternoon I met my hubby for lunch and then ran a few errands. When I got home I made this Mother's Day Card with Cats using this weeks sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches. I love the sweet stamp from the Mulberry Wood collection by Crafter's Companion, it was colored using Copic markers. The patterned papers are by Pebbles from the Garden Party paper pad. Some twine from The Twinery was added along with a bitty butterfly and Mother's Day sentiment both from Stampin' Up! That pretty much sums it up.

This card is also entered into the following challenges:
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Mother's Day Card with Flowers

Hello and happy Thursday! This morning I created this Mother's Day Card with Flowers to play along in the following challenges:
Most of the supplies on this card have been retired and in my stash for at least couple of years, maybe more, with the exception of the new Happy Mother's Day die cut by Impression Obsession. It's a lot of fun to buy new supplies but I have many favorites that I still love to use. The flowers on this card are from the retired Secret Garden stamp set by Stampin' Up! and they were stamped with Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry inks. My go to leaf die is the retired little leaves Sizzlits die and I've used retired designer series paper in Night of Navy. The oval stitched die is from Avery Elle and that's about it. I want to thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day!

Gingham Flower Mother's Day Card

Good day crafty friends! This morning I was up pretty early for me and I decided to remake a Mother's Day card design I originally created in May of 2012. Click here for the original post. For this Gingham Flower Mother's Day Card I used completely different colors and added a butterfly but otherwise kept everything else the same. I love seeing the same card with different colors, it really does change the look. This one is definitely bright and cheerful.

Mother's Day Card with Lace

Happy Tuesday! It's time for a new challenge at Tuesday Throwdown and this week we want you to add lace to your project. Our lovely sponsor is Ribbon Resource and they generously provided the design team with the lace used on our creations. I've used a beautiful 1" white lace that was really easy to work with and perfect for all kinds of projects. We would love to see your creations with lace this week! You have until mid-day on Monday April 4th to link your creation. Click here to check out the wonderful inspiration from the design team and for all the challenge details.

The patterned paper on this card is one of my new favorites by Bo Bunny called Secret Garden. I paired it with Rich Razzleberry cardstock from Stampin' Up! along with the retired Brocade embossing folder for the white embossed area. The green leaves were die cut using Sour Apple Bazzill cardstock and the paper flowers and polka dot brad are from The Paper Studio. Using the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set by Stampin' Up! the Mother's Day sentiment was stamped using Blackberry Bliss ink. That sums it up. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Floral Thoughts of You Card

Good day crafty friends! I have another card to share with you and this Floral Thoughts of You Card is intended for Mother's Day. I have several cards to make for this occasion because there were several lovely ladies in my life growing up that influenced my life in a positive way. Several years ago I started sending them cards on Mother's Day just to let them know I was thinking about them.

To create this card I decided to use some of my favorite but soon to be retired supplies by Stampin' Up!. The Polka-Dot Pieces stamp set and the Flowerpot dsp work really well together. The only other supplies used were coordinating ink colors, bird builder punch, white twine, a scalloped edgelit die and a retired heart charm. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Watercolor Rose Card

It's getting late but I really wanted to share my latest card with you! This Watercolor Rose Card was made using this weeks Tuesday Morning Sketch. I love the simplicity of the design and the oval focal point. I didn't use a sentiment but I imagine this card will be used for Mother's Day. To watercolor the rose I stamped the Inkadinkado image onto watercolor paper using StazOn Jet Black ink. I used my Aqua Painter brushes by Stampin' Up! with Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Gumball Green and Old Olive classic stampin' pads. The scalloped oval was die cut with a Spellbinders die using Pool Party card stock. I used green and gold Smooch Spritz on light yellow card stock and the punched the elegant butterfly. It added a really nice shimmer and then I added the three small pearls. The baroque patterned paper is from my stash and the polka dot green is from the Epic Day dsp by Stampin' Up!. Well, that about sums it up. Thanks for stopping by!

Floral Mother's Day Card

Hello and Happy Monday!!! My Monday always includes catching up on laundry from the weekend. The one thing that is great about doing laundry on Monday... is it gives me time to play in my craft room. It helps that my washing machine has a very long wash cycle. By they way... have you looked at the calendar lately? It's hard to believe that Mother's Day is only a couple of weeks away. I thought I would take the opportunity to create this Floral Mother's Day Card using this weeks sketch from The Paper Players designed by Ann Schach. Then I used two more challenges as inspiration, 'ABC' Challenges has a Mother's Day theme this week and Paper Playtime has an embossing challenge. I'm also linking this card to the anything goes challenge at Make It Monday. Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic week!!!

Floral Mother's Day Card Supplies*:
  • Paper: Very Vanilla, Summer Starfruit, Midnight Muse, and Gumball Green card stock and Print Poetry dsp paper stack.

Happy Mother's Day Card

Good morning! With Mother's Day quickly approaching I decided to create a card using this weeks color challenge at Sunday Stamps. The colors are So Saffron, Wild Wasabi, and Not Quite Navy all by Stampin' Up!. When creating this Happy Mother's Day Card, I wanted to use the Full Heart Punch because it is very neglected. Using Not Quite Navy ink, I stamped the flower from the Betsy's Blossoms stamp set and then used the heart punch to create my focal image. Of course, it wouldn't be complete without a butterfly, punched using the Bitty Butterfly punch. I added a little bling for some sparkle and did some stitching for detail and that's the story behind this Happy Mother's Day Card. Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin' Up! Supplies:
  • Paper: Not Quite Navy, Whisper White, and Wild Wasabi card stock and So Saffron dsp from the Subtles DSP patterns paper stack.
  • Stamps: Betsy's Blossoms clear mount stamp set and Itty Bitty Wishes wood mount stamp set.
  • Inks: Classic stampin' pads in Not Quite Navy and Wild Wasabi.
  • Other Stuff: Scallop Trim Border punch, Full Heart punch, Bitty Butterfly punch, Itty Bitty Shapes punch, Big Shot, Fancy Fan embossing folder, rhinestone basic jewels, and stampin' dimensionals.

My card is entered into the following challenges:
  1. Sunday Stamps: Color
  2. Flutter By Wednesday's: Anything Goes using a Butterfly or Fairy
