Valentine Couple Card

Hello! Last week when I was searching in my craft room I found this digital image by Kenny K, it was printed and waiting to be used. So, I decided to use it on a Valentine Card. First, I selected patterned papers from the Be Mine paper pad by Recollections and then I colored the image with Copic markers to coordinate. Some clear Wink of Stella was added to the dark red border around the heart for a little sparkle. Once all the layers were assembled the focal image was adhered with dimensionals. The sentiment stamp is from a Valentine's set I bought several years back by Recollections. The finishing touch was the addition of three heart sequins and that's it. Awesome! Super Hero Card

Hello again! I'm back today to share with you an Awesome! Superhero Card. I selected the theme Superhero this week for the challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz. My hubby is a huge Superhero fan and with the countdown to the new Marvel Avengers movie coming out soon, it seemed like the perfect theme for this week. I hope it will appeal to your creativity and you will join us this week. We would love to see what you create!

When selecting the colors for my Superhero outfit I decided to be original and pick my own colors. My hero is wearing green, orange, blue with gray boots and belt.  The digital Superhero stamp is by Kenny K and I colored him with my Copic markers. For some detail on the background I used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set by Stampin' Up! and added a small piece of patterned paper. The Awesome! sentiment was stamped using Memento black ink and colored in with a C3 cool gray Copic marker. The hardest part when making this card was deciding what colors to use for the outfit, everything else is pretty simple.

Handmade Anniversary Card

One of my coworkers asked me to make her a Handmade Anniversary Card to give her husband. I found this request to be quite challenging. The only detail she gave me was the color maroon, it was their wedding color. I started by searching for the right image and was delighted to find this Milk Shake image by Kenny K. I colored the image with Copic markers and a classic stampin' pad in Baja Breeze applied with a blender pen. The patterned papers are from my retired stash of Stampin' Up!. For the sentiment I used a stamp by Verve Stamps and used the scissors to cut the banner. The scalloped border is a die cut from the Adorning Accents Edgelits set by Stampin' Up! The layout isn't fancy but I really like the Baja Breeze and Bravo Burgundy colors together. I guess that about sums it up. Thanks for stopping by!

It's celebration time!!! I've reached 100 followers and that makes me very happy. In fact, I'm so happy that if you're one of my followers and you leave me a comment on this post I'm going to randomly give away a prize. The prize is a surprise but I think that makes it fun. 

Okay, onto my card. This Kitty Cat Thank You Card was made for the vets and staff at Feline Specialties in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They really helped us with my late crafting buddy and I wanted to show our appreciation. It's been four weeks and I've tried several times to color this kitty image but every time my eyes would well with tears and I just couldn't do it, until today. One small step in the healing process. My late crafting buddy.

Cute Kitty Card

Hello! I hope you had a wonderful extended Labor Day weekend. Mine ended up being pretty stressful!!! My cute little crafting buddy (see photo below) stopped eating and we took him to an emergency veterinary hospital on Sunday morning. His kidney values were elevated and he is still there receiving IV fluids. We did get positive news today that he is responding well to the treatment and we are praying for positive news tomorrow.

When making this Cute Kitty Card this evening my crafting buddy was my inspiration. I know I'll send the veterinary hospital a card after we bring him home and I wanted it to look like him. The sitting kitty digital stamp is by Kenny K and I colored it with my Copic markers. I tried to make the fur look like a tabby. The layout comes from this weeks Mojo Monday sketch. I wrapped twine around a 3/4" circle punch to make the ball of twine. It seemed appropriate for the occasion. Well, thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your week.
