Feel Better Card - TMS #616
Can you believe it's the last Tuesday of July? Time keeps flying by! I hope you're ready to join us for another sketch this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches. The sketch was designed by Debbie Foster and the design team created a variety of inspiration. To see the sketch and for all the challenge details click HERE. I hope you feel inspired to play along.
Lately, I've needed several feel better/get well cards and my stash is very low. So, I made this Feel Better Card using a sentiment stamp by Stampendous! and patterned paper (bandaids) by Doodlebug Design from the So Much Pun paper pad. To keep the banner element of the sketch I moved it behind the sentiment and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Under the Weather Card
Happy Friday! The arrival of Spring usually brings on allergies here in Oklahoma. Sneezing is normal this time of year with the increase of tree and grass pollen. Although with the current virus an innocent sneeze can send some people running, so it's probably best to just stay home.
My stash of feel better/get well cards is running low, so I made this Under the Weather Card. The image is by Whipper Snapper Designs and it's called Rainy Day Rabbit. Copic markers were used to color the image and the patterned paper is from the Heidi Grace Sunshowers paper pad by Colorbok. The sentiment is from the retiring Spring Showers stamp set by Newton's Nook. For the final touch I added three glimmer stickers at the bottom and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you and your family stay well!

Bear Feel Better Card
Good day crafty friends! It's been awhile since I made a Feel Better Card, so today I made this one with the Lil Bear Spring Digi by Bugaboo Digi Stamps. The colors were selected from the color challenge at Catch The Bug. To color the image Copic markers were used and then the image was die cut with a stitched square die by Lil' Inker Designs. The Feel Better sentiment is from the retired Sassy Salutations stamp set by Stampin' Up! and three small punched banners were added for detail. That's pretty much it, simple and easy. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Under the Weather Card
With Spring comes seasonal allergies and that came make you feel Under the Weather. This afternoon I spent some time making this Under the Weather Card using the Spring Showers stamp set by Newton's Nook. Now I'm prepared with a cute card in my stash. The design idea was inspired by a card made by Jennifer Jackson. I like how she arranged the patterned paper above the image. The clouds and striped paper on this card are by Echo Park and the paper pieced umbrella are scraps from Crate Paper. I did go a little crazy with the rain drops but they needed to splash into the puddles. The image was colored with Copic markers and I added three clear sequins on the clouds for some sparkle. That's it!

Hippo Cycle Feel Better Card
Hello! Today I have a quick post to share this Hippo Cycle Feel Better Card. The Hippo Cycle stamp is by Stampendous! and I colored the image with Copic markers. In case you're wondering, I didn't search for an image of a hippo on a bicycle, it's one of those finds where you see it and it makes you laugh so you buy it.
For this card all patterned paper is from the Garden Party paper pad by Pebbles. The image was die cut using a cross-stitch oval by My Favorite Things and matted to a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock that was cut using a pair of Fiskars deckle scissors. Using Memento black ink the Feel Better sentiment from the Sassy Salutations set by Stampin' Up! was stamped directly onto the patterned paper. Everything was adhered flat to the card for easy shipping and the final touches were three sequins and some Seaweed twine from The Twinery. That's it!

Bold Butterfly Feel Better Card
Earlier this week I made a masculine feel better card and since my stash of cards with this sentiment is low, I decided to make this Bold Butterfly Feel Better Card. Stamp sets used on this card include: Watercolor Wings, Painted Petals, You've Got This and Sassy Salutations. Butterflies and flowers are my favorite part of outdoors in the summer and I've used my favorite colors. The Blackberry Bliss flowers were stamped onto whisper white cardstock and then I went back and filled in with Garden Green leaves. I was inspired by this card HERE by Lisa Young. When I found it while doing a search for violets a few weeks ago, I had to know if she used designer paper and no, it was hand stamped. So, I tried it and I think it turned out okay. The center panel was stamped with Mint Macaroon and the sentiment in Memento Black. For the butterfly I used Daffodil Delight as the base, Hello Honey on the edges with Blackberry Bliss for the detail. The body of the butterfly was highlighted with black Stickles to give it a little shimmer. To add some embossed detail, I used the Decorative Dots embossing folder and that's it! This will be one of the cards I'll have a hard time giving away. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!!!

Bear Feel Better Card
Welcome to my card blog! Today I'm sharing this Bear Feel Better Card for inspiration at the Cardz 4 Guyz challenge. We would love for you to play along with this weeks challenge to create a masculine card using something that starts with the letter B. I figured a bear holding a bandage would work! The image is from Stamp Fairy which is sadly no longer available. I colored the image with my Copic markers. All patterned papers are by Little Yellow Bicycle from the Fern & Forest paper pack. The sentiment stamp is from the Sassy Salutations stamp set by Stampin' Up! I added some twine and used the bitty banner punch with some candy dots for detail. That about sums it up.

Quilt Inspired Feel Better Card
Good evening! It's getting late but once I got started I couldn't stop until my card was done. This Quilt Inspired Feel Better Card was made using the colors and photo inspiration from the Color Throwdown Challenge. I went with a literal interpretation from the quilt photo inspiration. The Stampin' Up! colors I used are:
The focal design for this card was a technique I learned a couple of years ago. However, I haven't used it since and had to dissect my original to figure out how it was made. Here are the directions I followed: Cut two cardstock pieces 2 5/8" square (these will be your matting pieces), cut two patterned paper pieces 2 1/2" square, cut the patterned pieces into square quarters 1 1/4" x 1 1/4". Ink the edges of your pieces and apply adhesive to the backs. Arrange pieces as shown, making sure they will fit onto the backing cardstock squares. To finish the center I used a Martha Stewart punch and a Basic Gray glitter brad.
- Basic Gray
- Lucky Limeade
- Pool Party
- Pacific Point

The Feel Better sentiment from the Sassy Salutations set was heat embossed. Then I added stitching on the border of my card for a little more quilt inspired detail. That's it! Thanks for stopping by.

Colourful Feel Better Card
Given the choice between housework and making a card, I seem to always choose to make a card. Although I will have to do a couple of chores later, I indulged myself with some creative procrastination and made this Colourful Feel Better Card. The colours were inspired by this weeks beautiful ColourQ Challenge. I used the sketch challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches for my layout and selected the Feel Better sentiment to play along at Addicted to Stamps. I played around with the colours a lot before I decided on what you see. There were so many terrific options, it made it hard to narrow down. I decided to use bling instead of a stamped leaf to add some sparkle to the design. In the end I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!
Colourful Feel Better Card Supplies*:
- Paper: Night of Navy, Whisper White and Lucky Limeade cardstock. Patterned paper from Ivy Lane collection by Close to my Heart.
- Stamps: Bloom for You stamp and Sassy Salutations stamp set.
- Inks: Classic stampin' pads in Bermuda Bay, Strawberry Slush, Lucky Limeade and Night of Navy.
- Other Stuff: Spellbinders scalloped oval die, Decorative Dots embossing folder, Fun Flower punch, decorative rhinestones by Recollections, paper snips and dimensionals.
*All supplies by Stampin' Up! unless noted.

Hello and Happy Sunday! I do believe the summer months go by faster or it seems that way the last few weeks. This is my fourth week as a guest designer at The Paper Players and we have a sketch challenge for you! Hopefully, you have time to play along with the sketch challenge at The Paper Players (click here). We would love to see what you create! The challenge is open until Noon (PST) on Friday August 1st. Floral Feel Better Card
Spring is always a fun time of year, however it's not always great with Oklahoma allergies. When things start to bloom it seems a few sneezes aren't far away. Yesterday I spent the day in bed (don't be jealous) I had one of the worst migraines I've ever experienced. My prescription pill didn't touch it. My hubby finally convinced me to go to urgent care to get a pain shot and within twenty minutes the pain was gone. The shot did make me drowsy, so back to bed I went as soon as we got home. Needless to say it wasn't a productive day and I'm very happy I had today off. This afternoon I made this Floral Feel Better Card to add to my stash. I have a feeling it will come in handy. The design comes from the sketch at Pals Paper Arts. The main colors are: Bermuda Bay, Strawberry Slush and Crushed Curry. The polka dot patterned paper is from the Kaleidoscope dsp and I used the scallop edge punch with the retired coordinating scallop trim corner punch. I added three large rhinestones in the center of the flowers for a little bling. The flower is from the Morning Meadow hostess stamp set and the sentiment is from the Sassy Salutations set. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Photo Inspiration Challenge
Good morning! Today marks a year and a half since I started this blog. I've had so much fun creating and sharing my cards that I decided to start a biweekly challenge. The challenge will rotate between a photo inspiration color challenge and a theme challenge. One of the things I love is to see all the different interpretations from the same inspiration and I can't wait to see what you create. There will be a challenge winner selected and they will receive a prize that coordinates with the challenge. I sure hope you will play along! The first challenge photo is of a floral arrangement my hubby bought me. There are a lot of creative options in this color palette. You can hold on to summer or jump right into fall. Which will you choose?
For my card I stayed with a summery feel. The orange tone I chose is Tangerine Tango by Stampin' Up! and I paired it with Wisteria sandable card stock by Core'dinations. The patterned paper is from the Venetian Romance dsp and the stamp sets are Mixed Bunch and Sassy Salutations all by Stampin' Up! I pulled the deep purple from the back of the arrangement to be my focal color and accented it with Gumball Green.
My Floral Feel Better Card is entered into the following challenges:

- Inky Chicks: Stitching, Real or Faux
- Tuesday Throwdown: Anything Goes

Feel Better Bear Card
Hello! I hope you had a wonderful day. Mine was much better than yesterday. It was a calm day which I really needed. Earlier this week my brother-in-law had surgery. I just finished making him this Feel Better Bear Card. I used this weeks sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches. The adorable bear, named Barry, is an image from Stamp Fairy. I colored him with my Copic markers and added a little heart punch to the bandage. The patterned papers are by 7 Gypsies from the Venice 6 x 6 paper pad. I bought this paper specifically to make masculine cards. The feel better stamp is from the Sassy Salutations stamp set by Stampin' Up! Well, that's it for me. Have a great night and a pleasant tomorrow!

Going through my card stash I noticed I didn't have any Feel Better Cards. This sentiment is not the first thing that springs to mind when I'm making a card, but with all the illness going around this winter I figured I needed to have a couple on hand. So, I made this Feel Better Card using my new Secret Garden stamp set and Framelits Dies by Stampin' Up! The design came from The Paper Players sketch challenge and the colours were inspired by my couch. Check out the photo below with the adorable feline who thinks the couch is hers. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
