One Day at a Time Card - TMS #564

Hello again! We've made it to another Tuesday and that means another new sketch challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches starts today. We would love for you to join us this week! Our sketch this week was designed by Melissa Craig and it's pretty open for your interpretation. I used a retired flower from the Birthday Blooms stamp set by Stampin' Up! It was colored with Copic markers and then fussy-cut. Two additional leaves were added which I colored a little darker and then three sequins were added around the flower. The One Day at a Time sentiment is one of my favorites and it came from Verve Stamps. It was stamped directly onto the Spiffy Speckles paper by Lawn Fawn and everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. For all the challenge details and design team inspiration click HERE. Fall Floral Thinking of You Card

Hello! There are many times in life that a Thinking of You Card is needed. This Fall Floral Thinking of You Card was made for my grandmother. She has dementia and the last month has been really rough for her. Yesterday I went through all of my cards and none of them were what I wanted to send, so I made this one special for her.💜

A couple of years ago I saw a card by Nancy Leedy and fell in love with the colors and floral arrangement. She used the Birthday Blooms stamp set with the leaves from the Colorful Seasons stamp set both by Stampin' Up!. I would have never thought of combining the two stamp sets without seeing her card. It's taken me a couple of years to use the two together but I'm really happy with how it turned out. Now I have the perfect card for my grandmother. Using different colors for the flower I made as second card to send to a family friend who is fighting pancreatic cancer. 

Favorite Colors Card

Good day! It's been a couple of months since the team I'm part of at Simply Create Too provided inspiration for the monthly challenge. This month the theme is Favorite Colors! I was excited to put together my Favorite Colors Card using Green and Purple. It doesn't matter what shade of green and purple, I love them all. We would love for you to play along this month! When deciding what type of card I wanted to make with my favorite colors, I looked through some new supplies that hadn't been used and decided to make a floral card. All papers and stamps used on this card are by Stampin' Up! The stamps are from the Birthday Blooms stamp set, the green pattern paper is from the Fresh Florals dsp, the black is from a retired neutrals paper pad and the cardstock colors include Perfect Plum and Basic Black. Copic markers were used to color the image. I debated about adding sequins but decided it really didn't need it. Sometimes less is more!
