New Colors Betsy's Blossoms Card

Happy Monday! The Paper Players have a fun color challenge this week featuring three new colors by Stampin' Up! The colors are:
  • Bermuda Bay
  • Baked Brown Sugar
  • Crushed Curry
I really love these colors together! For my entry I created this New Colors Betsy's Blossoms Card using the sketch from The Sweet Stop challenge. My stash is very limited on new product by Stampin' Up! but I did order the Eastern Elegance Designer Series Paper. The Crushed Curry patterned paper is from that collection. For the Bermuda Bay strips I used the emboss resist technique and the En Francais stamp. After embossing white card stock with clear embossing powder, I sponged on Bermuda Bay ink. At this point I wasn't sure what my focal point should be but I looked through my current stamp sets and decided Betsy's Blossoms would make the best choice. I fussy-cut the bird and stem and layered the center together on top of a flower shape I cut using my Cricut machine. The finishing touch was a little pearl for the birds eye. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week!

Yellow Bird Card

Good afternoon! There are barely two days left to order from the Spring Stampin' Up! catalog. This Yellow Bird Card was made using the Sunshine & Sprinkles dsp, from the Spring catalog, and the Betsy's Blossoms stamp set. The Betsy's Blossom stamp set is being carried over into the new 2013-2014 catalog, but the Sunshine & Sprinkles dsp will only be available until May 31st. I love the bright colors in this collection!  So, I figured I better give you a good example of what you can do with it. To create this card I used the sketch from Sunday Stamps. I was a little rebellious and I didn't use a sentiment. I decided it needed a cute yellow bird instead. The postage stamp punch was the perfect size to punch out the flowers and I fussy cut the bird and leafy twig. Well, I hope you like it and have a great day!!!

Betsy's Blossoms Hello Card

This morning I had no intentions of making a card today, but then I found a color challenge that changed my mind. The challenge comes from Sunday Stamps and the colors are: Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, and Basic Black. When I paused to think about this challenge, I realized I'd never made a card with just these colors before. The design for this Betsy's Blossoms Hello Card is fairly basic, it's the details that add interest. Twine, rhinestones, and the cute little bird help to liven things up on this card. Have a great evening and thanks for stopping by!
