Handmade Love Card

Hello! This afternoon I've been combining a few card challenges. I used the CR84FN Color Challenge ,the Mojo Monday Sketch challenge, and the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger photo to create this Handmade Love Card. It's been awhile since I participated in all of these challenges, so it made perfect sense to combine them. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

Handmade Love Card Supplies:
  • Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, and Pool Party card stock by Stampin' Up and patterned paper by American Crafts.
  • Other Stuff: Swiss Dots embossing folder by Cuttlebug, Finishing Touches Edgelit, Pool Party twine, and Small Heart punch by Stampin' Up!, Cricut Machine, Home Accents Cricut Cartridge, and paper heart doily from dollar bin at Target.

When I look at the Moxie Fab Trigger photo called Sweet Dreams it reminds me of a serene comfortable romance and that helped me decide to make this Handmade Love Card that I will use as a wedding card.

Red Star Christmas Card

Here is quick afternoon post to share this Red Star Christmas Card I made using the Mojo Monday sketch designed by Carole Burrage. I combined the sketch with the color challenge at CR84FN and went with a Christmas theme. If you're wondering why I didn't make the star a glittery silver? There is a story behind that! The short story is I do want to stay married to my husband, who has threatened to throw away and ban glitter from the house. His position is it gets everywhere and then the cats walk through it and then lick their feet and they could ingest it. I know he is right, but it's really hard to refrain from using glitter. So, I went with a red star. Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Red Star Christmas Card Supplies:
  • Paper: Dark red folded card by Recollections, basic grey, very vanilla, and cherry cobbler card stock by Stampin' Up!, Christmas Sheet Music and Red Harlequin patterned papers by The Paper Studio, Rejoice Collection patterned paper by Bo Bunny, and basic grey/neutrals dsp by Stampin' Up!
  • Stamps: Merry Christmas by Stampabilities.
  • Inks & Colouring: Tattered Angels glimmer mist in silver sugar and classic stampin' pad in cherry cobbler.
  • Other Stuff: Decorative edge punch, silver ribbon, Cricut machine, Christmas cartridge (star), grey rhinestones, and stampin' dimensionals.

Triple Butterfly Card

Two of my favorite colors are included in the CR84FN color challenge. Those colors are purple and green, so of course I had to play along. I knew I wanted to use butterflies and the blue zebra patterned paper. This triple butterfly card design evolved from my first idea. I originally had the zebra paper turned horizontally but, I just didn't like it. After I played around a bit and added some twine, this is how it ended up.

Triple Butterfly Card Supplies: Very vanilla cardstock by Stampin' Up!, euphoria patterned paper by Basic Grey (eup-1248), grape crush and parakeet cardstock by Bazzill Basics, blue cardstock and blue zebra patterned paper by The Paper Studio, butterfly prints stamp set by Stampin' Up! (retired), sentiment stamp by Inkadinkado (60-60049 Everyday Expressions), VersaMark watermark stamp pad, Stampendous! Pearlustre embossing powder in translucent pearl and jade pearl, heat tool, butterfly punch by Stampin' Up! (retired), circle punches, scallop circle punch, purple doodle twine, foam tape, and stampin' dimensionals.

Today, I've created a Floral Sympathy Card by combining the CR84FN color challenge with the Mojo Monday sketch challenge.  I was happy the colors in the Bo Bunny Little Miss collection worked great for this challenge.  I did flip the sketch to make sure the cute little hummingbird didn't get covered up by the center image.   Have a crafty day!

Made a Difference Card

If everyone would send one card to someone who has made a difference in their life, we could possibly save the postal service from financial difficulties.  Sometimes it's the small things people do for us that we want to recognize and a thank you card doesn't always do the trick.  I think that's why I love this wonderful sentiment so much.  This made a difference card was made using the colors from the CR84FN color challenge.  So,don't delay put a card in the mail today!

Made a Difference Card Supplies: White cardstock, patterened paper by K & Company (Jubilee designer mat pad, 30-388826), patterned paper by Bo Bunny (Little Miss Jamayka, 12LMJ620), Bazzill Basics cardstock (Rope Swing Dotted Swiss, 8-820), eyelet border punch by Stampin' Up!, Cricut machine, Cricut cartridge (George and Basic shapes, used to cut 2 1/2" circle), sentiment stamp by Hampton Art (Made a Difference, PS0126), classic stampin' pad in Crumb Cake by Stampin' Up!, Spare Parts paper flower brad by The Paper Studio, and stampin' dimensionals.

Handmade Anniversary Card

The challenge for today is a color challenge from CR84FN.  My first creative thought is not at all what I ended up with.  Funny how that works sometimes.  I had several papers that I could have used but I decided to play with ribbon today.  The picture doesn't really show that the broad ribbon is an ivory shimmer ribbon that I layered with a pale yellow ribbon.  An elegant look is what I was hoping to achieve with this handmade anniversary card.

Handmade Anniversary Card Supplies:  Pale yellow cardstock, gray texture cardstock, gray glitter patterned paper by DCWV (The Linen Closet Matstack, MS-003-00055), random ivory shimmer ribbon, pale yellow ribbon by Offray, gray satin ribbon by Essentials (865-5078), flower Belle Button by Dritz (BB966), Happy Anniversary stamp by Stampabilities (FR1035), and London Fog dye ink by Memento (ME-901).
