I... es veritat que no m'he oblidat del sorteig. El 18 de desembre fa un any que vaig començar aquest blog amb el post dedicat a la meva mare i amb una por terrible... No em puc creure que amb només un any hagi fet tan bones i fidels amigues. A totes vosaltres va dedicat el que en surti d'aquest material...

...com us deia en el meu primer post, aquest blog vol ser un homenatge a la meva mare. A banda de cosir, també li agradava era col·leccionar. Feia col·leccions de màquines de cosir y planxes antigues, culleres dels avions, mugs, ventalls, etc...
...as in my first post, this blog is a tribute to my mum. Besides sewing she loved to collect different things; old sewing machines and iron machines, spoons from airlines, mugs, fans, etc...

...el passat cap de setmana no he cosit res i m'he delectat mirant i fotografiant una de les col·leccions: la d'ànecs, oques i altres familiars.
...this past weekend I haven't sewn anything, and I delight myself watching and taking pictures of one of her collections, ducks and geese.

...la meva mare.

He pensat molt en el meu primer post i, sens dubte, l'haig d'escriure en memòria de la meva mare. Gràcies a ella, fa uns anys que se'm va despertar la curiositat per començar a cosir. I perquè? Doncs perquè ella va cosir tot la vida i tot tipus de coses, des de vestits de núvia (el d'una neboda) fins a draps de cuina, passant per tot allò que us pogueu imaginar. Sempre penso que li agradaria molt veure les coses que faig i juntes cosiriem i creariem a tothora, m'ensenyaria tant i tant... Tot i que la trobo a faltar moltissim, d'alguna manera està a prop meu sempre que estic davant de la màquina. Uf! I si veies la màquina!!!!

...my mum.

I've been thinking a lot about my first post, and without any doubt I wanto to write about my mum. Is because of her that a few years ago I started sewing. And why, because she was a great sewer. She sewed all her life and she sewed all kind of things... from a wedding dress (for my cousin) until anything you can imagine to be sewed. I always think about how she would love to see the things I do and she could teach me a lot! Even I miss her so much; I feel she is closer when I am in front of the sewing machine. Hoch, if she could see my sewing machine!!!!!
