Graduation Card

Good Morning!

It's been quite awhile since I got inky. Working and a child on three baseball teams has definitely put any crafting time on the back burner.

 It's that time of year...Grads, Dads, and Weddings!

I have always adored this little DeNami Designs Graduation Owl.  I colored with copics and fussy cut him and popped him in the middle of the DeNami Designs Graduation Circle. I created a background using Versa Mark ink and a few graduations stamps also from Denami Designs. You can find the sentiment from there as well.

I further embellished this card with some hemp twine laced with a green button (DeNami Designs) and a few sequins. The green cardstock was dry embossed to give the card some added texture.  All papers are using leftovers from my scraps box.

DeNami Designs Product Spotlight - Congratulations Circle

Hello!

Are you in the mood for a non-tradional Baby card?  Hope so, because that is what I have to share with you today! :-) It's product spotlight day on the DeNami Blog, and we are spotlighting the Congratulations Circle, and it can by added to your shopping cart for a 10% savings for one week only.  As mentioned, I decided to make a Baby card, but use non-traditional colors. 

I was inspired by looking at a train sitting on my son's desk. You can see it peeking in the background in the picture. :-) Oh how I miss those Baby cuddly days. Seems just like yesterday. Anywho...I started with a red card base onto which I added a white embossed panel using the ABC's Embossing Folder.  The Small Baby Script was stamped in the lower right in red ink.  

I stamped the Congratulations Circle in red ink and used a scallop die to cut it out.  Next I stamped my elephant from the Safari Animal Set to the center of the circle and colored in with colored pencils and mineral spirits.  I then cut a banner from red cardstock and added it behind my focal image.  I die-cut a frame from gray cardstock and used the Dot Embossing Folder to give the focal section more texture and visual interest.

DeNami Salon Chickies Congrats Card

Last week I shared a bright and colorful card on the DeNami blog showcasing Salon Chickies.  I thought it would be cute to make a card to be given to someone graduating Cosmetology School. We don't want to forget about them as we start thinking about graduations.

Wouldn't this be darling?  I used a sentiment from the Thoughtful Greetings Stamp set. The yellow cardstock is embossed using a Chevron Embossing Folder. A length of aqua and green ribbon was added to the left side of the card front which was embellished with a Lucky Green Boutique Button. A few sequins were added to complete the embellishing touches.
