WATW- Wattled cranes

August 2013   I've missed a couple of weeks of Friday photo posts, but I'm back. These are some more sights from last year's zoo trip. Did you know wattled cranes can grow up to six feet tall?

Worth a Thousand Words (WATW)

Jacksonville Zoo August 2013   Just a photo, no words- because a picture is "worth a thousand words." Well, a few words- I'm moving this post to Fridays so I'll be more likely to remember to link up and share at a few link parties, starting with photography Friday.

Worth A Thousand Words

April 29, 2010   A single iris bloomed in our front flower bed. We had no idea that was what was planted in the bed.

Worth a Thousand Words

This was taken in October 2011 while visiting the Coral Castle in Homestead, Florida. I could have had much better focus and composition, but I was just learning to take some of the settings off manual. While this guy is not the main feature of the Coral Castle, I thought he was interesting  and snapped a shot of him.

Something for Saturday

Just sharing some photos that my hubby, nephew, and I took at my parents' last month. These little creatures intrigue me. I chased these guys for a long time trying to get some decent shots. They were very active and did not want to sit still.
