Alison Mosshart continua a trazer-nos notícias do seu confinamento. Ou seja: a oferecer-nos novas canções (enquanto um novo álbum de The Kills está em andamento...). Já conhecíamos a confessional e melodramática It Ain't Water — agora, a respectiva versão acústica é tanto mais surpreendente quanto tem som de casa de banho... literalmente.

Alison Mosshart, "It Ain't Water"

Um novo álbum de The Kills está em laboração... Entretanto, em confinamento, Alison Mosshart tem andado, como ela diz [NME], a recuperar material arquivado, não editado. Daí as novidades: depois de Rise, It Ain't Water é o lado B do mesmo single, servido por um belo e austero teledisco a preto e branco.

Alison Mosshart, solo

Não, não é o reencontro com The Kills (cujo último registo, o EP Echo Home - Non Electric, data de 2017). Mas não nos podemos queixar: temos direito a metade de The Kills, ou seja, Alison Mosshart. Não está Jamie Hince. Mas também não surgem Jack White e os outros companheiros de The Dead Weather. Esta é uma estreia a solo — chama-se Rise e tem energia rock q.b., temperada com a elegância terna e cruel que tão bem conhecemos. Uma boa notícia, enfim. E outra, tão boa ou ainda melhor: Mosshart e Hince estão a trabalhar num novo álbum.
