Mini Bag

I finished my little hexagon bag from the video Picking Up The Pieces . In the video Pati Shambaugh tells you this little bag takes about 2 hours to make....I don't believe her. I didn't keep track of how long it too me but it seemed like it was 2 hours figuring out how to put it all together. Having said that, it is a really cute bag, I don't know just yet what I'll use it for. The bag is about 3 1/2" x 2" closed, I used the 3/4" hexagons to make this bag. As you can see I'm not a hand quilter (really big stitches). I'm like Darlene, just can get used to using a thimble, it aways feels awkward on my finger. I don't know why but when I have a thimble on I end up trying to use one of my other fingers to push on the needle and that defeats the purpose of using a thimble. I've heard people say that it's best to wear it around the house and then you get comfortable with the thimble. Maybe I should try that sometime. But for now hand quilting is not my thing so I will only do it in small (very small) projects.
