"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

GRATEFUL / CQC #60 & 2S4Y #66...

Well, evidently I forgot to post this last week - OOPS! Too many things going on I suppose....

Although the deadline has past, this card was based on Laura's sketch #66 over at 2 Sketches! Also used was colourQ # 60...

HOLLY / 2S4Y #66...

Okay, don't pass out, it really IS me posting a card! I know it's been over a week, and my sincere apologies... my babies and I got head colds 2 weeks ago, and now Alex's has developed into an ear infection... you KNOW you're sick when you have NO INTEREST in stamping...

Here's another super cute image - Holly - from my friend Jo Westfoot, the Crafty Nomad! She's just in time for Christmas, delivering a whole lotta sweetness! You can find her here.

I decided to go kinda minimal with this card, and thought this week's sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You would be perfect!

Bye for now...

HAUNTINGLY DELIGHTFUL [trick or treat] / TSG #77 & 2S4Y #64 Bonus...

Happy Friday!!! Here's a quick card using another image from Hauntingly Delightful, by There She Goes Clear Stamps.... it's so cute I just love it!

How cute is this little ghost? This paper is retired SU!, and I've been using it on a few cards lately, newsprint seems to really be "in" right now. I used one of the bonus sketches from 2 Sketches 4 You and the challenge from There She Goes.

I've been playing around a lot lately with embossing my patterned papers, I kinda think it looks neat! The sentiment is computer generated.

Hope you have an awesome weekend!!!

THE BIG ONE / Mo's Digital Pencil Dream Team's One Year Hop Anniversary!!!

Today I am lucky to be celebrating with Mo's Dream Team their 1st Anniversary of blog hops!!! What a great month for me to be a guest designer!!! If you came here from Rosette's gorgeous, inspiration packed blog, then you are in the right place! If you may have missed something along the way or are just finding this post, you can go back to Mo's Dream Team Blog & start at the beginning!

I used the darling image "The Big One" for today's contribution to the hop. You can find him here. The theme of this month's hop, hosted by the amazing Kerttu is 'frogs & snails & puppy dog tails'... so I thought this cutie would be perfect! After the hop, please join us by creating a card of your own for this theme and adding it to Mo's Dream Team Blog. We would LOVE to see what you come up with to help us celebrate!!!

I used a rather loose interpretation of this week's sketch by Kazan from 2 Sketches 4 You. The paper is from October Afternoon, Farm Fresh. I printed the image on white cardstock & then tea stained it after coloring with Copics. My card smells like Chai - lol! The pumpkins to the bottom left were colored from another copy of the image, cut & popped on with dimensionals.

Your next stop is the super talented Lori - and I KNOW she'll have something SPECTACULAR for waiting for you! And don't forget to join us by creating a card of your own from one of Mo's fabulous images & posting it to the Dream Team blog to help us celebrate!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

BIT OF STARDUST / CQC #49 & 2S4Y #60...

After spending over 7 hours at the ER with Alex, and finding out both his ears were infected, I had little time to do anything but be a mother hen and nurse my baby back to health! As a result, this card was made with great haste! I could have at least thrown on a button or two...

I combined this week's colourQ with this week's 2 Sketches 4 You...

This stamp set, A Bit of Stardust, is a new release from There She Goes... it is just the cutest set!!! I really LOVE it!

That's all I've got for now... Alex has been fever free today so far, due to us giving him meds EVERY 4 hours... let's pray it stays that way!

See you later!

HAPPY HAPPY BIRDAY SANKARI / 2S4Y BONUS...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SANKARI!!!
When I went to scope out the sneak peeks at the Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge I found out it's Sankari's birthday today & Brooke has invited everyone to help celebrate by making her a card! Sankari is such a super sweet, talented, beautiful gal (that seems to be EVERYWHERE these days) - so I was most happy to join in and make a card!

There was other good news this morning, too - I'm now a Digital Doodles Design Team member!!! I'd talked to Kathy Martin (the owner/designer) about it a couple weeks ago.... so I was pleasantly surprised to see it posted on her blog this morning! Thank you Kathy! So in honor of her announcement & Sankari's birthday I came up with this card based on the bonus sketch at 2 Sketches 4 You, using one of Kathy's images - Happy Bird Day.I digitally paper-pieced the image using a digi paper pack Walk in the Park by Echo Park!

Thanks so much for dropping by & don't forget to join in on wishing Sankari a Happy Birthday!

AVIARY [U R TWEET] / CQC #47, 2S4Y #59 & MFWTT...

When I picked these colors for the colourQ a few weeks ago, it didn't think they'd be a big hit - but I LOVED them... imagine my surprise to see similar colors as the Tuesday Trigger over at Moxie Fab World - lol!

So today's card is a triple combo! I paired the 2 challenges above with the sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You. The colors of the Trigger seemed funky & fresh & the room in has such a giant view... like you're sitting in a swanky bird cage looking out at the world! Both were a perfect match for the theme & colors of my colourQ card!

I knew I wanted to use these super sweet bird cages for these colors. I am a bird person. I have always had birds, always been on the lookout for antique bird cages, birds are just the best! I love that they are so "IN" right now! I'm definitely not finished playing with this set!

Bye for now!

WEDDING CAKE CARD / 2S4Y #59

Here's a quick 30 minute card for one of my co-workers who is getting married this weekend!

I used Kazan's sketch #59 over at 2 Sketches 4 You. Use your imagination & you'll see it - lol

I loved this paper the moment I saw it & it just screams 'wedding' to me! Unfortunately it's retired... [sigh]. I used the corner rounder punch on the top of each cake layer. The ribbon is Kraft, also retired Stampin' Up!. For the bottom 2 layers, I cut & border punched the blue first. Then I punched the white and lined it up where I wanted the scallops to fall, then marked each side where I needed to trim. The sentiment is stamped in Crumb Cake (Kraft) just under the bottom layer - I didn't want it to be very prominent. Some cards are so "art~like" to me, I hate to mess them up with sentiments! I went to the sewing store over the weekend and bought this dainty lace trim which I tucked under the bottom layer so it only pokes out a little. Sorta like a slip - lol! Let's hope the bride's slip doesn't show on Saturday!

Bye for now...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TANJA!!!!! / CQC #45 & 2S4Y #58...

Today is a VERY SPECIAL day ~ HAPPY BIRTHDAY TANJA!!! I sure do miss you! If you were here, I'd bring you a cupcake this big!

Today's card combines two of my favorite challenges - lol! The colors are from colourQ - I really LOVE the inspiration and the fabulous sketch is from Laura at 2Sketches4You!

So my friend is on the other side of the world celebrating her birthday! I think they are about 7 hours ahead, so maybe her hubby is taking her out for a nice dinner? He better not make HER cook! I'm the worst with remembering dates, so I didn't see that it was her birthday until late last night! So one of these days I'll just have to have a surprise "just because" blog hop for her...

In other news, Maisie Grace cut her first tooth last night! It hadn't poked through yesterday afternoon, but when she woke up around 11 last night (thanks to Chance barking his head off when Jeff got home) it was there!!! If she's anything like Alex, she'll get a new one each week for the next couple months. Maybe THEN she'll start sleeping better once they're all in!

Have a great day & please go wish Tanja a Happy Birthday!

WOVEN HEART / CQC #43 & 2S4Y #57...

It's a colourQ Tuesday!!! We have some super swell colors this week, I hope you can play along!!!

I took strips of cardstock, some of which I embossed, and patterned paper and wove them together. I tore a square of white paper & used a heart nestability to cut it out & then I did some faux stitching. The brown frilly ribbon is some I got at the sewing center this past weekend, I couldn't believe it matched!!! YAY! On the bottom of the card I adhered punched hearts from the same color stock, although it's hard to see. The last little accent are three PTI buttons...

Thanks so much for looking!
