"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

[tiny] THANK YOU / SCIC #10 & TSSC #129...

Wow - it's late! I love cards that are black & white with a little bit of color! They seem just instantly elegant...

I really love the inspiration over at Stampin' Celebration this week, and when I saw Mary Jo's sketch (which I modified a wee bit!) I knew exactly what I wanted to do!

I used the sentiment from Papertrey Ink's Tea for Two Additions, as well as PTI patterned paper. The punch is from Stampin' Up!, Jewelry Tag Punch ~ it's SO darling!

Have a great night!

CELEBRATE / ACT #36, PIO #25, TSSC #127, EIC #94 & CC #73...

By far this is the most challenges I have ever put together... what a weirdo I am - lol!

For this card...

Whew! Anyway, I used Papertrey Ink's flowers from Green Thumb to make my glittered "sparklers" - I loved sparklers on the 4th of July when I was a kid! I used Stampin' Up! Craft ink & then embossed with Dazzling Diamonds EP. The sentiment is also SU!, Celebrate Everything. This was the first time I'd inked it up!

Have a happy evening!

[HELLO] WONDERFUL YOU / ACT #35, TSSC #126 & C4C #42...

Wow, I'm on a roll - I missed another challenge deadline with this card... of course I'm not the only one having a hard time today! My hubby works nights & usually sleeps from 8 to 3 everyday... when I went home at lunch to see the kids I heard his dresser drawer close, so I went to see why he was up... he gotten up & taken a shower thinking it was 3:00 already, poor guy!

hOPE YOU'RE HAVING A LOVELY mONDAY! Sorry, I forgot to take it off all caps - heehee! I loved Mary Jo's sketch this past week - I wish I played with her sketches more often, they are really great every week - there just are not enough stamping hours in the day! I feel guilty every week that I miss my dear friend Krystal's challenge... it always seems I remember after the deadline! It's on my list for today!!! I PROMISE! I managed to miss Mary Jo's deadline, too, which I combined with Stacey's awesome~ly summer~y colors & Crazy 4 Challenges paper flower theme.

I swear I put Stampin' Up!'s set Wonderful You away, but I drug it back out again... I needed those leaves!!! I used Cuttlebug's Paisley EF & dies from Papertrey Ink. The buttons (which ARE Cameo Coral in real life) are also from PTI, as is the sentiment.

Thanks so much for stopping by & I hope you get a chance to play along with one of these fantastic challenges this week!

BELLA TOILE TILES / PDC #23 & TSSC #115...

Good morning! Imagine my surprise (& me doing the "Hot Dog" dance) when I got an email from Julie Marray over at the Play Date Cafe asking me to be a guest designer!!! SUPER COOL!

Although I have a hard time with monochromatics, I think I actually did okay! It's kinda on the shabby/chic side - less shabby more chic... I probably should have shabbied it more... sorry, I think I'm talking to myself ...

I started making Thursdays my "Play Date with the Play Date" a while back... they have great colors every week! Usually I check in first thing on Thursday mornings and spend the rest of the day scheming... I don't make it every week, but when I do miss a color combo, I make it a point to play the next week! If you've got the time, please head over to the Play Date Cafe & join in!!!
I combined their lovely colors with Mary Jo's sketch this week, but again I took some liberties - lol!

So yeah, the colors were a little hard - but I do love a challenge! The colors reminded me of Dutch Delft tiles (my hubby's family is Dutch Indo) so I knew I had to try my hand at making some using the cracked glass technique! Using the Stampin' Up! background stamp, Bella Toile, I inked up with Pacific Point ink (retired) and then watercolored some Bashful Blue into it. The I did the cracked glass... one of my tiles didn't want to "crack" so much!

Thanks so much for visiting - make sure to join us at the Play Date Cafe this week!

BABY BUTTON BITS / TSSC #112, CCC #40 & TPE #57...

Here's another one of my new Papertrey sets... SO CUTE!!!

I haven't played along with Mary Jo (Techno Stamper) and her Monday Lunchtime Sketch in a while, so I thought I should this week before time gets away from me! Color Create had a beautiful palette this week as well, which I thought would be perfect for a baby shower card, which went along with the Pink Elephant's invitation theme.

I let my friend Tanja borrow this set, Baby Button Bits, the day I got it... she promised to post a picture of her creation. (Okay Tanja I'm dying to see it - where is it - lol!) She brought it back last night, along with a roll of ATG tape I'm borrowing until my order comes in on Tuesday... she's a LIFESAVER!!! Anyway, Jeff & the kids are napping, so I got to play with the new set this morning - in between washing clothes & dishes - no, not all together... although wouldn't that be nice? Throw all the clothes & dishes in one machine & have them come out all clean & spotless?

My 'mint' color is Sage Shadow, and all the dsp is retired Stampin' Up!. The buttons are from Papertrey... Spring Rain, but there were some in there that matched. I love their buttons, because each 'color' includes a lot of variations - so I have gotten lucky matching them to other colors. The label is also from Stampin' Up!, Lots of Tags.

Going to stamp some more now... thanks for stopping by!
