"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

EGG HUNT / SSD Speed Scrap...

Good morning! It's Monday - where did the weekend go? This is a quick page I made LAST Saturday playing along with a speed scrap at Sweet Shoppe Designs. You know I l-o-v-e speed scraps! The template was actually provided, and I used a gorgeous kit,  Flowers After the Rain by Wishing Well Creations and Sugarplum Paperie.

These were some Easter egg hunt pics taken down at my grandparent's 'pond' house. We were back there this past weekend, and my brother found an Easter egg that hadn't been found on Easter. So weird, it was practically out in plain sight!

FUNNY FACE / Sweet Shoppe Challenge...

Today my baby turned 2 years old! Maisie is one of those kids that is just an absolute joy. She is almost always happy, but if you cross her she makes the funniest little faces!  Recently she laid down on the coffee table and when I started clicking pictures, she began crunching her face up. I love watching her, she's so expressive!

I used the kit is Dream Wish Love, by Meghan Mullens. I love the color combination of this kit!

Have a great day!

CREATING / USSIS #141 & Sweet Shoppe Challenge...

Good morning! We have a new challenge for you over at Unscripted Sketches - I love this sketch - SO versatile! I decided to scrap a page with a picture that I love, that isn't very in focus! But I think it almost goes with the journaling of creating yourself (or rather letting God create you).... I'm out of focus because I'm still a work in progress!

This digi kit is Easy For You To Say by Lauren Grier. This layout is for a challenge over at the Sweet Shoppe to "Scrap a page about the person you want to create."

JANUARY 1-7, 2012 / Sweet Shoppe Challenge...

Twenty-Twelve in Photos is a group & blog that my best friend, Lori Boyd started at the first of the year. We take a picture everyday, like some of the other "365" projects that people have done over the last couple years. What I "LOVE" about this one though, is that having a FB group not only reminds me to do it everyday, but also pushes the bounds of my creativity. When I was in college studying graphic design & photography I ALWAYS had my camera - a 35mm Pentax. It feels good to be doing that again!

This layout is also for a Sweet Shoppe challenge to document part of your month.

These are the kits I used to document my first week of pics:
Template - Scrap Your Heart 4 - Janet Phillips
Digi Kit - Easy For You To Say - Lauren Grier

Have a great night!

EXPLORATION / Sweet Shoppe Challenge...

One of the December challenges at the Sweet Shoppe was to add a frame to part of a large photo. I had taken this ho-humm pic of Alex at the Harvest Festival. I think using this technique really helped this pic out!

LOVE / Sweet Shoppe Challenge...

Here's a quick card I made for a hybrid challenge over at the Sweet Shoppe. You had to take a photo of 2 subjects "interacting". So I took a pic of each of us (Jeff & I) holding candy canes to make a heart.

I used 2 kits by Kristin Cronin-Barrow, Tis the Season: for Love & A Bushel & A Peck.

 Thanks so much for visiting...

MAISIE GRACE / Sweet Shoppe Challenge...

Here's one of Maisie's Christmas pictures. The December Portfolio over at the Sweet Shoppe is to pick challenges from the previous 11 months, and there was a really cool one to cut shapes out of your background, so I chose to do these cool snowflakes! The kit is by Kristin Cronin-Barrow, called Deck the Hall: Classic.

MERRY / Sweet Shoppe Designs Challenge...

Here's another pic from Alex's Christmas "Photo Shoot"... he was a regular Zoolander, making all kinds of wacky faces and carrying on like a male diva! He grabbed this hat and I'm so glad the photographer got this shot! I have to warn you, I bought 20 of the pics, so you'll more than likely see a few more layouts with them, since I haven't even scrapped my favorite yet! I'm thinking of having this one printed and framed to hang each Christmas...

I made this for one of the MANY challenges over at the Sweet Shoppe... This kit is called Tis the Season, by Zoe Pearn! I love it!

FAMILY REUNION / Sweet Shoppe Lift Challenge....

One of the challenges over at the Sweet Shoppe this month is to "lift" a design by Tracy. Below is the layout I chose. I sorta went with a similar layout and color scheme. We had a big family reunion with Jeff's family the weekend before Mother's Day, and these are the pics from that day. SO MUCH FUN!

I used this kit from Kristin Cronin-Barrow and Traci Reed, called Blink of an Eye.... LOVE THIS KIT!!!

Bye for now...
