"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

MONEY PLEASE... then shopping! / SR #64...

Hello, we have a terrific sketch for you today at Stampin' Royalty - I used it to make a layout! I'll be with Stampin; Royalty for one more week and then my term will end... It's been SUPER FUN!!!

Maisie loves climbing into her shopping cart, doesn't she look prissy? When I started to take pics, she was holding out her little hand, it made me think she wanted some spending money - heehee!

All the digital elements of this page are from Stampin' Up!... the paper is the digital Play Date. I use them in Photoshop Elements, instead of My Digital Studio.

Hope you get a chance to play with us this week!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY / SR #63...

My camera lens broke, and these pics were taken with it... I did the best I could! This card is for todays's Stampin' Royalty challenge to "texturize"! Super fun!

Sorry this is short...

SUNNY DAYS / SR#62 & STTT #39...

I did a page recently from our trip to the park that featured Alex, so this one features Miss Maisie! Obviously their age difference determined that they didn't play together that day, so they had to have their own pages!

Our theme for Stampin' Royalty is GREEN, so I used lots of green papers for this layout! The sketch, which I really love, is from Sketches in Thyme! Of course, I sorta truncated it a little, but I think I'll be using it again really soon!

Bye for now!

THANKS A BUNCH / SR#60 & ACT #70...

Wow ~ how did it get to be Wednesday already? Yay, 2 more days until the weekend - lol! We have a sketch challenge for you today over at Stampin' Royalty... and I LOVED this sketch!

I don't remember the name of this stamp, I think it was a Stampin' Up! hostess set? One with all the punch shaped stamps. I used Stacey's awesome Curtain Call Act #70 colors... I just HAD to play with them this week!

Thank you so much for stopping by~

SIMPLE VOGUE / SR #59, ACT #69 & LiM #2...

Let me start by saying... THIS WAS REALLY A CHALLENGE! I was blog hopping around a couple days ago & a gorgeous card by Vicky Hayes and the challenge where she had entered it, which was new to me! This week's Stampin' Royalty is to "Mark it Up!" (use markers), so I decided to combine it with this newfound challenge at Less is More, to do a one layer card.

I also got to play along with Stacey's Curtain Call, too! YAY ME!!! Is that 2 weeks in a row? SO as I mentioned, this is obviously a one layer card... it's been years I think since I did a REAL one layer card! All supplies are Stampin' Up!, the stamp set is called Vintage Vogue. Ahhh, except the card stock... that's a CS I got at Office Depot in the resume paper section. I love how it takes Copics, too!

Have a great morning & hope you get to play along with Stampin' Royalty this week!

I LIKE TO BE WITH YOU / SR #58 & ST GDT Challenge...

Here's a quick page I did using ONLY Stampin' Up! digital downloads... I started using My Digital Studio to dot it, but then switched to Photoshop Elements. If you have MDS & need or want to use the individual paper or element files in PE, go into your computer's 'program files', then 'MDS', and then 'components'. That's where they live!

Our theme at Stampin' Royalty this weeks is ALL ABOUT HEARTS! I used the sketch (a little modified) from Sketchy Thursdays.

Alex & Maisie were playing on his bedd - he was piling up all his stuffed animals around her... they were having so much fun! The expression on her face in the smaller pic is just hilarious... she's gonna be mad one day when she sees that in the scrapbook - lol!

Bye for now...

THANK YOU / SR #57 & FTL #125...

Good morning! Well, I say 'good', but I just spent I don't know how long trying to remember the name of this retired SU! set... any one know? I can look when I go home for lunch, I guess - which makes me wonder why I've wasted so much time trolling the internet searching - lol!

Om my - I loved this week's colors from Stampin' Royalty!!! SO perfect! And I just knew I had to use the Fall-to Layout, as well!

This is such a simple card... the strips are an inch wide and about 2 1/4 - 2 1/2 inches long. Somehow everything came out pretty even - lol!

Hope you get to play with these gorgeous colors this week & be sure to go check out the other designers' inspiration pieces!

Bye for now...

FUNKY FOUR {some more} / SR #56 & Act #66....

WooHoo!!! today begins the newest Stampin' Royalty challenge, and I used a favorite little set of mine from SU! called Funky Four. Which I should probably call 'Funky One' since I only ever use the mushroom stamps - lol!

I was thrilled to play along with Stacey and her amazing crew over at the Curtain Call... it's been a while! I loved her challenge this week, it was ... challenging!

I colored the stamp with Stampin' Write markers, easy peasy. Hope you'll get a chance to play along with these awesome challenges!!!

Be back soon...

THANKS {so much} / SR #55. C4C #70, CP #98 & JAI #51...

Happy Wednesday! We have a brand new Stampin' Royalty challenge for you this morning, anything with wings! I had this piece of retired Stampin' Up! paper sitting out from another project & I decided to use the bird printed on the paper!

Lots of fun challenges for this card! The sketch is this week's Card Patterns, Crazy 4 Challenges' theme is to 'say thanks', and Just Add Ink is using monochrome.

I colored the rhinestones with a Copics. The light pink felt flower is from giantdwarf, the darker from Papertrey Ink, as well as the Beautiful Blooms III dies used. The Jewelry tag punch and matching sentiment set, Tiny Tags, is from Stampin' Up!

Have a terrific day!

AVIARY / SR #54 & CP #97...

Good morning! We have a gorgeous color combo for you this week over at Stampin' Royalty! Color has to be my favorite kind of challenge in the world....

I also used the Card Patterns sketch for this, I love this kind of sketch, too! When I was cutting out my circles, offsetting them really appealed to me so I went with it... these colors reminded me of peacocks, so I thought this set Aviary, by Stampin' Up! would be cute to use.

Jeff and I survived our first dance class last night & even learned the foxtrot. I see a lot more practice in our future, but we did manage not to step on each other, which apparently is rather impressive! It was a fun date night, for sure!

Bye for now...
