"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55: 8-11

HAPPY BIRTHDAY / STB #9...

So as I mentioned in my previous post, Alex had a birthday party for a classmate today - it was an Alice in Wonderland party - so I used this adorable Lily as Alice digi from Pink Cat Studio to make her card! I also used this cute Cake digi, too! I wish you could see the glitter on it...

The sketch is one I missed from last week's feminine  Seize the Birthday... but don't worry, I managed to use it on my next card for this week's masculine version. Such a great sketch!

Thanks so much for visiting!

CLOWN OWL / TPE #104...

wOoHoO! Happy Monday! Today starts a new theme challenge over at the Pink Elephant, "Join the Circus"!!! We have a totally awesome sponsor, Pink Cat Studio, who has long been a favorite of mine! They happened to have some super cute circus themed digis released this month, and Ella's Girls are fortunate to be using them! I worked with the Clown Owl on Stilts, sooo cute!

I actually colored the shading of the image in colored pencils, and the went over it in Copics. I was a little surprised when I looked at the colored image again and realized I'd almost used the exact colors in the exact places... maybe that was a subliminal thing? I trimmed the bottom part of the image and then slipped it though a round nesty to hightlight the top, and matted that on another die cut nesty. I thought this would make a super cute kids' card!

Hope you get a chance to play with us this week!

Hugs,

DIVA POODLE / TPE #80, CP #77 & EIC #101...

I know what you're thinking ~ "WOOHOO, it's MONDAY - time for a Pink Elephant Challenge!" Not many things have the power of making a Monday bearable like a fun challenge!

RECIPE CHALLENGE:
RiBbOn & sPaRkLe

Our sponsor this week at The Pink Elephant is one of my SUPER FAVE stamp companies, Pink Cat Studios! To see the latest challenge and get more info on Pink Cat Studio, click here! I also used the sketch from Card Patterns and the colors from Etsy Inspired Challenge for my card.

We had a busy weekend. Went to Dothan for a little shopping - Dothan is 1/2 an hour away & has the closest Michael's, Target & mall. It's probably a good thing that Michaels' is not in the same town - although I was VERY good & only spent $20. Jeff and I started a Dave Ramsey financial class last night... there was no place for crafting supplies on the budget handout, so I had to add that category - lol! Maisie definitely isn't liking people these days... she started rebelling against the "nursery" establishment after about 15 minutes, whereas Alex would have loved it if we'd just left him there all night! Luckily my mom just "happened" to be at the church as Maisie began her meltdown, so she saved the day for everyone! Moms are so awesome, aren't they?!?

Bye for now & hope your Monday is amazing...
